The environment is very nurturing and welcoming and has an excellent and rigorous educational program. The communication with teachers and staff is amazing, and class sizes are small.

FPCS is an excellent Christian school! My daughter attended preschool here and we loved the community. We would highly recommend the school!

The school has minimal negative behaviors and when they do arise, they are dealt with quickly and with love.

My chikdren have been at First Pres since they were 3 years old (now 4th and 6th grade). Some years we have had to make financial sacrifices so that they could attend. My husband and I gladly did this because our kids have thrived and have had such a solid, loving, and happy education.

One reason we went to a private school is because of bullying. My child loves this school because there is no bullying. The students are taught respect and caring for each other.

Most of the work is done during the school day. This leads to less stress at home and more family time.

This school has a sense of love and acceptance from the minute you walk in. The communication to parents is great. I never have to guess what is going on in the classroom or with special circumstances that require good communication. My child has gained a positive sense of self and is excited to go to school each day. This was not the case before going to First Presbyterian. As a parent, this is priceless!

My son is in preschool at FPCS. The teachers are lovely, but the administration is terrible. The communication is severely lacking, and most communication occurs after the fact. If you are looking for preschools, I would recommend Southside Christian School (for the same price/faith based) or The Little Hive (for non-faith based/play based learning) . The location of this school is also dreadful! There are a lot of unsavory people who can view the children while they are playing outside on the (very old, very small, wooden, preschool play structure.) There is also no grass for the children to play on.

Communication with families at this school is awful! Also, there is a strong favor for stay at home parents over working parents.

Our son is in Kindergarten at FPCS and absolutely loves it. He is growing and learning so much. His teacher has kept me posted on his growth and areas of struggle, so that we can work together. The principal and teachers are readily available for questions and concerns. The level of volunteer involvement is truly impressive; parents are willing to give lots of hours to helping their children and the school thrive. My son was despondent over Christmas and Spring breaks because he did NOT get to go to school. Says a lot about the teacher and environment there. I don't know yet if we'll be able to send him to 1st grade there, but I'm praying we do. My daughter will also be attending pre-school in the fall. We wouldn't consider anywhere else for her.

we LOVE this school!! I had never considered a private school past preK but my daughter will be entering Kindergarten next year and I can't imagine having her any where else. The staff is amazing and the curriculum is well rounded and the kids and parents are all very nice. I can not think of one bad thing to say about the school!!

This school offers a well rounded, solid christian education. Standardized curriculum starting at preschool... this school offers so much more than "social time" like most other preschools... they completely prepare your child to enter into school.
