Air Mobility Command Museum 2

The AMC museum is a great place to visit. There are a lot of planes to see and some simulators to try out. During business hours, all the planes are available to look at, but only some of them allow you access to the inside of the plane. During "open cockpit" days you can access other select aircraft. I've been there several times, but still learn something new and see something different each time I go. The museum has stuff that will keep the interest of all ages.

This little gem of a museum is such a great place to visit. It is located right next to the base (you do not need to go on the base to get to it). The veteran volunteers are wonderful and so full of knowledge! My little guy absolutely loves going here, especially on open cockpit day. You get the go inside of their airplanes! They have various events happening throughout the year such as Open Cockpit day, vintage car shows, Trick or treat on the planes, Christmas events, etc. Did I mention admission and parking is free?!? They of course accept donations which is incredibly helpful, but otherwise, it is all free. There is an indoor and outdoor part to the museum, as well as simulators for adults and kids to try out!
