Monterey Farmer's Market 1

Monterey Farmer's Market. Traditional weekly activity for DLIers on a break from homework. Fresh produce, flowers, and baked goods, plus some local vendors of eclectic goods. Right down the main strip (near Jamba Juice, near Alvarado Street and Del Monte Blvd) at the bottom of the hill, so easily accessible for DLIers. Nice to stroll through and get hand-held food as you walk or pick up some fresh fruit/veg for prep later. Best place to check out all the fresh berries in one place when they come in season and get to know your local farmers. They close the street to vehicular traffic for the market. Used to be on Tuesdays when we were there, but the day might have changed now. Can't miss it, though.
