The principal doesn't speak kindly to "Open Enrollment" parents. Shoos us off, like we don't, and our child doesn't matter.

Yes for lower level learners. What about the higher level learners who need more of a challenge, they are forgotten, or told to just wait. That is NOT ok.

Over all, I am dissatisfied with this school as a whole. I will be transferring my student out ASAP. Crane district is very overwhelmed with the amount of students it has, and each Crane school I've looked into thus far has a waiting list.

They don't have any homework. This is unacceptable, as remediation is important for retention!

Posted: August 12, 2019

The 6th grade teachers don't seem up to par with 6th grade standards.

Reprimand is given, but is that the only positive for this school?

All students no matter their abilities are supported at Pueblo. They have a program for high achieving students called the Gowan Achievemant Program (GAP). In addition, students who need extra support to achieve at school are afforded this support. Mrs. Guerra is one of the wonderful special education teachers at Pueblo.

My experience with Pueblo Elementary has been really good. The after school program has lots of options, kids are not overloaded with homework, and parents can join their kids for breakfast or lunch if they want.

My child hated his old school. He is happy to get up every morning to go to school at Pueblo.

I don't like this school at all, most of the teachers are so focused on getting through the curriculum that they don't stop and realize that a lot of the students aren't grasping on the subject and how its being taught. Its hard to find a teacher who is willing to actually teach and not just read the curriculum. No student should be left behind but at this school its not just one student that gets left behind its actually most. I think that most of the teachers need to re-evaluate their teaching abilities because based on the test scores this school has dramatically gone down. There are a handful of teachers that actually do their job and teach and I thank those for putting in the effort to teach our children and help them understand. The staff is ok, they have their good days and a lot of their bad days, This school really needs to focus on the students and how they are being taught. It would help the students learn and accomplish where they need to be at, So far I've been waiting for the the principal to take action for 2 years now and have seen nothing. Focus should be on teaching and learning not on the dress code so much. Lets put all that effort into the right direction.

The school seems more focused on test scores than anything else. Too many students and not enough teachers. Curriculum isn't balanced because of focus on scores rather than having a well rounded student. There's little opportunity for kids to be kids and unleash creativity. The teachers and staff are incredibly friendly and nice, but it's not enough to give higher ratings. They start common core next year. Bring on the drones.

I just moved from Flagstaff last summer and my son started 2nd grade at Pueblo. When we started it seemed he was below level in every subject! I had no idea and was always told in Flagstaff that everything was fine. The way that the teachers divided up the class to give more individual attention and actually stayed after class to help the kids that need it is absolutely awesome! And my son even loves going there.
