I am a former student here. You might see that one four dots that I rated right? I put that there because there is no fights, because its such a small school. Thats probably the only decent thing about this hell hole. The main reason on top of trillions of other reasons, is the teachers (especially the STEM). They punish so harshly without any warning. The fourth grade teacher in 2025 is the worst teacher Ive had in any school Ive been to NOT SAYING ANY NAMES.(Im not in fourth grade anymore for all the people who think Im overreacting). I swear every teacher that works here doesnt care about the students, they care about a paycheck. PLEASE-DONT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!!!

I am a middle schooler here, this school has had some issues but most of them they dealt with accordingly. I have been to quite a bunch of schools so far this one is the best. You have probably seen a lot of bad review from students here, this school isnt that bad , the kids sending those mostly are upset because the teachers sometimes punish them by sitting alone or doing a project by themselves if they have bad behavior. This school has dealt before with bullies , its just that the kids sometimes are to shy to say anything. Last year we had a bad teacher so some of us kids were a bit behind cause all the teacher would say is think about it and not even explain what was going on, thank fully the principal last year fired him because he was also being touchy if you know what I mean. The teachers here all try and show the students the way of God. If you are not a Christian they wont force it on you , and if you believe a little differently they will learn to except it. Overall the staff is friendly. One thing that I pray that they can add is more special education teachers for kids with autism. They try and help the kids if something seems wrong , but not to the point where they will not leave you alone. Most of the teachers will ask at the end if teaching if you need any help or if they need to explain in a different way, but once again its the students not excepting that help and they usually just want free time or whatever thats why some of the kids say that the teachers are teaching bad . Over all a good school and I would recommend it .

Not too long ago, a lot of parents sent their kids here, mainly because the public schools in Cochise County are bad, right? Well recently, so many students have left. There is a reason why so many people are leaving this school. A few years ago, the school was thriving and had happy teachers and students. Well they got a new principal and everything started going downhill. After that, there was a lot of favoritism and false accusations. It got so bad that you could see the difference in how the teachers felt, their atittudes towards teaching, and a lot of teachers left too. Teachers who used to be happy lost their passion, and always seemed moody and burnt out. You would typically think that this wouldn't happen at a Christian school, but the only Christian thing about this school was that it had Bible classes and was attached to a church. Bullying got so bad that false accusations became rampant, and some teachers would only believe their favorites, even if there was concrete proof against them. If you were getting bullied, only a few teachers would try doing something about it, but they would usually get shut down immediately. Within less than two years, everything went signifigantly downhill. It got so bad that even the teachers would agree with us, but again, nobody would actually do anything about it. If anything, the people who had the responsibility to do something made it worse. I'm not sure what exactly is happening with the elementary schoolers, but don't be surprised to find out that over half of the upper school students have left within a year. I can guarantee you that none of us would come back either, and whoever is still stuck in the walls of a so-called Christian school are praying to leave.

I would never come back here, and would never recommend anyone to send their kids here. I can mainly speak for middle school and up, but my experience was terrible. The principal is unprofessional and biased. She only cares about her daughter and her job as the principle. None of the staff pay attention to the students themselves, even when many, the majority of students say they hate the school. Many outwardly tell staff that, but no one addresses the problem. And as the school is Christian, they only show that when they read the Bible. They judge students and allow false accusations against students to direct their actions of discipline. Bullying is seemingly not tolerated, but they do nothing when students have concrete proof that another student has bullied. Overall, I would have to write a multiple page paper to address all of the problems at this school. Just please do not go here, or send your kids here.

Does not help your health, there is a bullying problem. I hate this place. They keep us trapped inside all day. Do not recommend please never go here unless you hate your kids.

The schools on base weren't the best, and public schools have too much bullying, so my parents decided to send me here. I'm pretty happy I'm going to this school, and I've made some really good friends here. I feel that the curriculum (Abeka) is easy to understand and is much better than what they use in public schools (common core). My biggest turn off about the school is the demerit system, which was added this year (2021-2022). Me and some of my classmates have gotten demerits on false accusations, and someone got suspended into the next year because of someone else lying about them. I understand that the demerit system was added for a good reason, but the way it's being used doesn't make sense to me. For example, if somebody starts a fight they get demerits (which makes perfect sense), but if the other person punches back in self defense they also get demerits. Other than demerits, this school is good :D

Moving to Sierra Vista, we learned very quickly that we could not have our child in public school. The bullying and threats were out of control. We tried 2 charter schools but the classes were stopped and then taught in Spanish for some of the kids. Our daughter begged to go to a Christian school again. I was afraid of the cost, but their happiness cannot have a price tag. Within 2 weeks, we KNEW that First Baptist was the best gift we could provide our child. Our child was so happy and excited about her teachers, her Principal, the staff, and most of all openly sharing faith.
Class time is fully utilized. Class work is fully explained and is completed in class whenever possible. Teachers are passionate about their positions and it truly shows. Teachers have patience and are well trained with instruction for allChildren with needs to different styles of learning. The kids are HAPPY!! They are confident!! Children are encouraged and held accountable.

My children both love First Baptist. The sense of community and love that my children receive is wonderful. Not only are they receiving an excellent education, they are learning about Christ, and how to live a life more centered on Him. The new principal is great, and we're very happy with all of the teachers and staff.

I am very happy with First Baptist Christian Academy. My son is in the sixth grade and has attended since pre-school. The new Principal is fantastic and bringing so much more to the school. This school year he has added sports programs to include: volleyball and basketball, accelerated reading program, math competitiions, and a lego team that won the Core Values Trophy for Regionals. I am very happy with First Baptist.
