Please avoid this school if you care about your child and their well being. Admin, Sheila Mendoza, is only their for her own benefit. She does not care about the students or staff. Its a shame she is still a principal there.

Leadership is terrible at this school. Admin does not care of the well being of their staff, nor students. Not to mention, Principal Mendoza favors certain teachers and puts teachers against teachers. There is no longevity within her staff and its clear why that is. I cant believe Sheila Mendoza is still a principal there.

Great teachers, awful leadership. the teachers, students, and community deserve better.

the curriculum is scripted as a one size fits all for all students, its not personalized so best hope the shoe fits for your children.

The teachers are great, too bad they arent given any freedom to teach the students how they see fit.

awful, the principal is not supportive of the teachers unless its one of her favorites and the teachers know that.

think there is only one special ed teacher for the entire school with one para professional, not enough

Top notch staff! I volunteered with The Shine Program for three years at Salida del Sol. A great community that cares about the students.

Good school. My child's teacher Mrs. Guzman is great. She demonstrates dedication, patient towards her students and very caring. My child comes home everyday excited about doing homework and telling me what he learned at school.

All three of my children attended this school for K-3rd grade. They all excelled on their standardized tests, and every single one of their teachers was amazing. All recognized that some of the subject matter was a little too easy and took special care to keep them challenged and engaged. While they did well at this school, I WAS concerned when we moved that they would struggle because you hear such bad things about the AZ school systems, but they are still doing well and are above grade level in most subjects. I can not stress enough how awesome the teachers are at this school!
