My children were enrolled at Amerischools North since it started at the 4th Ave location and I couldn't have asked for a better Team of people to lead the way in helping my kids get a great education. THE ENTIRE TEAM at Amerischools North made the time to get to know my kids and our Family, regardless of whether my kids were in their classes or not, which made the time that they spent there all the more memorable. Where can I begin with this school, so many good things, but the most important thing for me will be the small groups, the attention and the feeling that my son is part of a family not a school, the attention they put on each kid is so reassuring. They are so advanced compare to others schools academically, the principal will literally handle each problem herself and when it needs to get done. They have sports, events and everything that other schools will offer but in smaller size. Love love the staff at Amerischools North.

My son started in kindergarten and now he is in the 5th grade. The teachers are amazing educators and they very much care about their students. Ms. McCormack is a fair and caring principal. She works with the students and the parents to make a positive difference in our children. I can attest to this because Ms. McCormack and her staff of teachers have helped my son to develope life skills and advance in his learning. Thank you Amerischools for all of your excellent work and support!!

As 5th grade was coming to an end for my oldest baby, I was being faced with the decision of which school I was going to have to send my "little" 6th grader (because 6th graders are still little in my book) to. I just wasn't ready for her to make that transition to junior high. I'm sure there are statistics somewhere explaining why it's a good idea to transition our 10/11 years olds to junior high but I just wasn't buying in. In Yuma, it's not like we have a ton of options. I started reading reviews and asking around. Something kept drawing me back to Amerischools Acadamy North. The reviews online were great. People I talked to said they had great experiences there. So, we decided that this is where they would start their new year.
Well, it's now February, the 2nd half of the year and I now have 4 of the 5 kids in Amerischools Acadamy North. Two of them in Pre-K and and a 3rd and 6th grader. I haven't had any regret after moving my kids over here. From the office staff, to the extra curricular activities, to the teachers and the Principal... freaking amazing all the way around! They know my kids' names! Really? I didn't even know that the principal knowing my kids' names was a thing until I came here. This school has sports! This school has after school clubs... so after teaching my kids all day... some of the teachers and even the principal stay after and teach extra things like sewing, art, computers, cooking, cheer, leadership, etc... They host dances, holiday performances, talent shows, and participate in parades! This is all done after the teachers AND Principal have worked all day. I always tell my husband "can you believe the teachers have been here all day and they are still here at 7 at night doing this for the kids??" They have also been helping the 6th graders raise money for their 6th grade trip because they plan to take them to Sea World! Sea World! I could go on and on and make LISTS of every single I (we) LOVE about this school but I'll just leave it here. If you are looking for a school for your little ones, please consider this school. I'm sure it isn't perfect for everyone but it defiantly flows with my parenting philosophy; I feel that these people truly care about my kids and my kids feel cared for. They don't have to be perfect. They can be kids and excel in an environment that I would say is "family" like.

I loved my experience at this school. They encourage differences, and don't tolerate disrespect. They aren't too tough and I think the amount of homework is reasonable.

Amerischools North Campus is the best elementary school in Yuma, period! Wonderful staff, amazing teachers, incredible principal (whom I truly admire) and extremely safe environment. Mr. Ramirez not only helped my son academically but he made him a better person. I'm sad that this is my son's last year since he'll be going to Middle School.

The principal seems to be somewhat confused at to what happens at her own school on many occasions. She seems overwhelmed with the work load. Yet she is very nice to the students.

They offer a safe location to come to but the one thing I do not like is that they seem to have way to many personal issues between one another and seem to share them with the students even if they do not mean to. This is the main reason I pulled my student from this school.

All faculty and staff are really great. They all work together to help each student succeed both academically and socially. My child enjoys going to school every single day, and for that I am grateful. Thank you Amerischools Academy North, keep up the good work!

AmeriSchools Academy North is consistently one of the top schools in Yuma. This is to an exceptional staff who work so well together and really care about children. Other schools try to tell you they are great, but AmeriSchools Acdemy North proves it each and every day with our children. Mrs. Meyers, Ms. Bielke, Mrs. Torres, Mrs. Moon, Ms. McCormack, Mr. Martin, Mr. Farley, and Mr. Ramirez have to be in the top 1 percent of all teachers in Yuma. This is a great school! Keep up the great work AmeriSchools without you wouldn't be AmeriSchools!

This is one of the best Elementary schools in Yuma. All the teachers and office personal treat my kids like their own. Mrs. McCormack and Mrs.Moon have made made my child's reading and math grade go up. I appreciate all the hard work the school does for all the students, it's a wonderful safe environment.

Both staff and teachers are great. Been with school years now and still continue to love it more and more. Its so wonderful to see the teachers put so much time and devotion into their students to help them grow and better themselves . Mr. Ramirez is so great with all his students . My kids have been going here for awhile..ive had 2 that graduated from amerischools North ones in high school and ones in 7th grade and i currently have one enrolled now who is in 3rd grade. This school has been super awesome and i love how it's a small school everyone knows everyone. The office staff knows all the kids names and honestly has watched my kids grow up while they have attended and are currently attending amerischools. Mr. W has been a great principal and was sad to learn he was leaving Amerischools. The teaching staff are great and the office staff is super helpful. I couldn't imagine sending my children anywhere else!

My son started with this school back in 2011 in there first year as Amerischool North. I have had nothing but amazing teachers to work with, since I'm very involved with my sons education. He was tested and advised to skip a grade, which was the best thing they could have done for him. I can go on and on about his school...
Your child will have a great education and be safe since this school has a great security system.

We just moved to Yuma and my grand-daughter attends readiness with Mrs. Meyer. She absolutely loves the school and looks forward to school everyday. Mrs. Meyer is an outstanding teacher! She is always available to talk with parents at any time.The principal is outstanding as well! He is always out with the kids and involved in all activities. Amerischools Academy North is a wonderful setting for optimal learning. My son is a student in Mr. Martin's class, and has learned more there than in the previous three years in public school combined. Many opportunities are given for high-performing students to challenge themselves and excel. There is a great family atmosphere, where students and parents feel welcome and safe. Great School!

I love Amerischool !! I love the fact that my son was able to get in it even though his birthday is in September. His kindergarten teacher Mrs.Torrez was amazing ! A very caring teacher ! Could not have asked for a better kindergarten teacher for my son. His first grade teacher is awesome as well! The staff is great! They're always willing to answer any questions and always in a good mood! I could not be happier with this school. I love the fact that they know the students and family by name. The tutoring services they offer have really helped my 6 year old. He loves it! Great school

This is the 1st year we've had a child in grade school, but have been more than happy. The teachers have all been extremely supportive and my daughter loves it there. She says the principal is strict, but I find that a good thing! My second child starts kindergarten this next year and is very excited. The class sizes are much easier for the teachers to give more one on one. I do wish there was a little more parent support at the school. Seems it's always the same parents at all the events. All in all we have been very happy with Amerischool Academy North!

Amerischools is great. I have been so impressed with the principal and staff. You can tell they really care about the kids! I've also been very impressed with the anti-bully enforcement they have there. The school is also very secure, compared to all the other schools in the area. My son loves being in clubs after school, too! I have been so happy to see my son always come home from school with a smile on his face. He has been so happy there and I'm so glad we moved him to Amerischools! (And he is too!)

This school offers a great education in a private school setting/atmosphere. Class sizes are not too overcrowded and each child recieves the attention he or she needs. I am most impressed by how all the staff know the majority of the kids in the school, giving parents peace of mind that they're chilren are safe and well looked after. One of my children has attended since Kinder and is now in his last year there. I only wish the school offered middle school courses so that I could keep him there.

My daughter is about to complete Kindergarten with Amerischools. She has truly loved her teacher, an amazing educator who really connected with my daughter and who taught her so much. We also met with the principal, and he really seems on top of things at the school. He listened when we wanted to discuss something, and he made a difference for us.

This is a great school for learning. I realy like the small class room sizes because it gives students and teachers a great one on one learning experiance. This is my daughters first year there and she absoultly loves going. Best part is I enjoy watching my daughter's educational growth. I also like the after school activites. My daughter is in the zumba after school and she enjoys coming home and showing me her moves. I recomend this school to everyone.

Both of my children go to AmeriSchools Academy North. They are both excelling students due mostly to the wonderful teachers they have had. The teachers hold the students to high academic standards. My kids love going to school and don't want to leave. The staff works very hard and are available to the parents whenever needed. The attention to detail and the fact that many of the staff members know all of the students and even who their parents are is comforting. The principal, Mr. Wachunas, even noticed my son lost a tooth the other day! They are very compassionate and caring to needs outside of the school. There is a family feeling whenever you walk in the door.

There is no other school, that I know of here, where the principal is very involved with the children of a school. He is always on the field trips for the clubs, and knows his students' names. The teachers work for the children of this school, to enable them to be the best they can, and to help them strive to achieve their potential in academics. The staff is warm and friendly, and keep the parents informed (for as we know, children never forget to hand their parents paperwork, lol). This is a school with a solid base foundation for the children, that prepares them for the next level. It is a school that I have rarely seen a child set aside from others, even from their peers. Kudos to the principal, teachers, and staff for this learning environment.

This school is a wonderful school, if only all children could be so lucky to attend this school. I was an educator there for many years and I still love and miss it like it was yesterday. Due to us moving away I am still so saddened that my children will not be able to attend as I had planned. Mr. Wachunas is hands down one of the best Principals anyone can ever work for. I learned so much from him while teaching there forever I am grateful. He truly cares for his staff and all of his children that are under his supervision. On a minute by minute basis he is always trying to figure out what more he can do for his students, staff, and campus.He truly cares for his students, and his community. Always giving back in many different shapes and forms.It's a beautiful place to educate your child. As a mother and educator its a school where I truly feel my children would be safe and educated beyond compare.I feel its a place where all families can call home. Mrs. Fox is a absolutely a wonderful Principle as well and cares and loves her students. It truly will be missed as well as all of the wonderful dedicated caring staff that cares for their student's as their own.

I love Amerischool and so do my girls. This school is tight knit with great focus on students success. The teachers are dedicated and kind towards parents as well as students. My son attends Amerischools Academy-North. Excellent ! Teacher and staff are great. The principal is very involved in knowing what's going on with students and parents. The principal knows every student's name and most of the parents as well, the teachers take an interest in their students and what they are learning, and the school atmosphere is always positive and uplifting. All qualities I want my son to be surrounded by as he grows and learns. He's now in 5th grade, but his 4th grade teacher, Mrs. McCormack (BEST teacher ever), still checking on him to make sure he's always trying his best. This school is truly a great school. I have had my children in the school since kindergarten. You only have to visit the school for 15 min. when you notice the true dedication from the principal down to the teacher's aides. The principal and the teachers donate many hours a week of their own time and money to make sure they are meeting the needs of each and every student at school. The principal teacher and parent are a community I daresay a family which you do not find. Unfortunately, in many schools today. I know that when my children grow up they will remember and utilize the tools the school has given thm and his love that it has shown to them. It does my heart good to know that there are some people still in this world with the dedication and the love of teaching.

Our kids just transferred to this school this year. We do not regret that decision at all. All our kids our excelling, and for the first time get very excited to go to school! They really enjoy the community exploration and are learning so much. Would highly recommend this school. We just wish they had a middle school/high school program and a school in the Foothills.

This school should not be rated an 8 . It should be rated a 10 ! As being a former student at this school my experience has been amazing . the students are nice,no bullies. The teachers are always loving and always go out of there way to do everything necessary for the students. The school is very organized , and is very considerate on the explorations . If you asked me,I would say go to this school before checking any others. -Gabriel.c
