We came to Montessori Manor from a bad experience at another school on the recommendation of a friend. Our daughter has thrived here. She enjoys going to school (a first for her) and is so exciting to tell me about her day. Mrs Leslie has been fantastic!

My daughter is in the preschool program and we couldn’t be more happy with all the progress she has made since first attending. The school
Is very organized. Each child is greeted at the door by the owner, Leslie. Each child shakes her hand and brings their lunch inside. Since parents are not allowed to come in, my daughter tells me about her jobs that she completes at school. She loves reading time. She also practices her handwriting and numbers daily. The kids follow a routine that helps them learn academics. It is also a happy environment with all the wonderful staff, educational products and outdoor play area. We highly recommend this place for kids!

Manners are always emphasized. So is "working it out" with your classmates when there's a problem.

Posted: April 5, 2018

Leslie, owner and operator, has this place running like a well-oiled machine.

Posted: April 5, 2018

Montessori is perfect in this area as learning is individually tailored.

Posted: April 5, 2018

Children are always encouraged to work things out with each other. If necessary, a teacher facilitates the discussion. Respect of personal space and bodies is also taught.

I lovethis school! I've had my kids here for three years. My oldest son is doing amazing in public school all because of the foundation he received here.

Posted: April 5, 2018

No homeworkat this level beyond nightly reading with your child.

Posted: April 5, 2018

They track your child's progress and are with them each step of the way on their learning journey.

Absolutely love this school! Both our kids have been going to this school since March 2017. My son has been to a few programs prior to this one and I can’t tell you how impressed I am with the progress he has made here. We decided last year that he would benefit tremendously by completing kindergarten here and so far we feel we made the best decision ! He is doing an amazing job!! We love to see him thrive and since there is not a huge difference between kindergarten and first grade, we are going to have him stick it out for another year here for first grade as well.

As for my daughter, this is her first program and I am soo thankful that she did not have to go through what my son went through. She is also doing great!

Jumping from one school to the next and having to deal with lack of compassion from the teachers is a parents worst nightmare. We want the best for our children and this program provides that. These teachers take their time teaching each child the proper skills and provide the right tools for their students to be successful. They are dedicated to their work and they certainly show that! They are really good with structure and following a schedule. At my sons last program, he was spending his Tuesday mornings bringing groceries in for the school. Nothing annoyed me more than seeing this happen. Just an example....I pay for my kids to learn, not do someone else’s job. Needless to say, this is a wonderful learning environment, not a day care.

I can honestly say, there are tons of programs out there for Pre-schoolers and kindergarteners. When we moved from Arizona to El Dorado Hills a couple years ago, we looked at about eight schools. Like most parents, we are picky! My son attended two out of the eight and finally have settled on this one! His first program ended up closing because the lease was up and the other program, we ended up pulling my son after a year. We noticed that he was not excelling as much as he should be. Supervision was lacked, teachers were not teaching, and the schedule was never followed. So, if you are new to the area or just looking for a great program for your child, this is the place!

Leslie's Montessori Manor Preschool and Kindergarten has proven to be a great choice for my 3 year old grandson. As a Montessori instructor for 25 years, I was hoping to find a preschool that would provide the best that Montessori could offer. Leslie and her entire staff are trained to teach using this method and her spacious classroom is filled with an abundance of teaching materials used in Montessori schools around the world.

I love Montessori because children are taught as they demonstrate readiness. Children are exposed to small and large motor skill builders, math and reading, singing and public speaking. They learn to choose something that they will enjoy, complete the activity, and then they put the tray back in the place they found it.

Leslie's school offers a safe environment with a great space for outdoor play as well, She and her staff are always on sight and available to help the children. I have noticed that my grandson is learning each day and is happy at school. He has made several friends and is given every opportunity to learn at his own comfortable pace. Our entire family is very happy that we found this school. The quality is really there and children are respected and of course, their self-esteem is strong and developing.

We are absolutely thrilled with the Montessori Manor. We decided to move our son, who was 3 ½ at the time, from a conventional day care environment to Montessori Manor because we felt his social skills were not improving as much as we had hoped. He was very shy and take a while to warm up to new places and people. We have noticed a change in him within the first month; he became more confident, articulate, and comfortable in expressing his feelings and likes/dislikes and kept growing throughout the years. His academic performance started to improve greatly as well. He’s currently finishing the K program and moving onto 1st grade at public school and we couldn’t be happier with his progress and more confident that he’ll transition well. The teachers treat children with an utmost respect and patience and lead them towards independence, decision making, resourcefulness and responsibility. I can’t say enough about the Montessori Method in an early childhood education - children are very well rounded and educated not only in reading and math but geography, human anatomy, history, and practical life skills. Our many thanks to Leslie and her teaching staff!

I personally visited over 10 schools, and called many more in an effort to find a school I felt good about my son attending. I am impressed with this school's particular take on the montessori approach (no two are alike), which allows my son to be his full, vibrant self while working on his individual and partenered jobs. I love his improved focus and understanding that had arisen from his participation in this school. As a result, I drive quite a distance to get here each day, but that hasn't hampered my enthusiasm for this school, or for the future enrollment of my daughter here.

We seldom give reviews but Montessori Manor deserves one for the books. Montessori Manor is a preschool and kindergarden school which focuses on academics and early child development. It exposes your child to a very well structured environment. From the first day of preschool our daughter has always cherished being in Montessori Manor. She always looks forward for things she will do and learn in school. She loves circle time, geography, math and letter sounds/reading activities. We are so happy that at 5 years of age, our daughter could read at level 1 or 2 beginner's books. Ms. Leslie, the director, and her staff are one of the most dedicated group of teachers we have ever encountered. Their patience, perseverance and positive outlook towards the students is outstanding and makes them stand out from the rest. We highly recommend Montessori Manor not only for the wonderful staff but also for the excellent academic and educational structure. We are very grateful we enrolled our daughter in Montessori Manor, it was one of the best decisions we made as a couple. We just knew from our very first meeting with Miss Leslie that at Montessori Manor our daughter will be well taken cared of, safe, attended, and well-educated. Thank you very much for everything.

My son has been at Montessori Manor for two years and has flourished in his time there. Prior to his enrollment we explored other options in the area before meeting Ms. Leslie and visiting Montessori Manor, but after our initial meeting we knew this was the right place for my son and our family. Not only has my son learned academically, but also socially. Leslie and her staff continually to go above and beyond for the students and ensure that they will be successful as they move to other schools in the future. I have and will continue to recommend Montessori Manor to anyone looking for a well rounded and effective school for their children.

My 4 year old son is in his second year at Montessori Manor. He LOVES school and I am so thankful to Mrs. Leslie and her staff for creating and maintaining such a positive, nurturing environment. I had the pleasure to observe the classroom one day and I was shocked at what the preschool children were learning in circle time they were identifying mammals, reptiles, birds and amphibians using those terms! My son has started to read and frequently catches me off guard when he correctly reads a sign or label. He is also learning how to advocate for himself in a positive manor a vital skill that will be used throughout his life. Montessori Manor provides a well-rounded foundation that sets children up for success both academically and socially.

Montessori Manor is a wonderful school. We enrolled our son last year (at 2 1/2) and the improvements he has made in that time are unbelievable. When he first started he had delayed speech and minimal social skills. He would distance himself from other children and had a hard time communicating with others. After about a month at the school he was holding hands with other students when I would go to pick him up, and each month he has picked up on more and more vocabulary. Now when I go to pick him up from school there are days when he doesn't even want to leave because he enjoys the school so much and does not want to leave his "best friends". His vocabulary continues to amaze us daily as he describes things in such detail that I didn't realize he knew (such as different species of animals, all colors, seasons, etc). He talks in complete sentences and will describe details of his day to me when I go to pick him up. I thank Montessori Manor for those improvements 100% and am so glad we enrolled him there. We have a 9 month old as well and will be enrolling him as soon as he is old enough!

My school is Montessori Manor in El dorado hills There are no words that can express how very thankful and grateful I am for making Sophia s first preschool experience so wonderful. Ms. Sydney, Ms Sarah, and other teachers are so helpful, patient, and trustworthy to the kids. When Sophia came home happy and excited about her preschool, I knew I put her in the right place. For that, I will be forever grateful. You have a wonderful Montessori Program, with beautifully-hearted staff members. That, as a parent, is so important. Thank you again for everything!

We have had a wonderful experience with Montessori Manor. Our son attended for two yaers and our daughter (age 3) is currently enrolled. What I like best is the combination of structured instruction and independent learning opportunities. Children learn to listen when teacher is talking, sit quietly during story time and obey school rules while also being given a wide variety of "jobs" to choose from during choice time. My son was prepared for kindergarten and his transistion into public school teaching methods was seamless. The classrooms are well organized, clean and safe. There is a nice balance between comforting children when they are upset and encouraging them to be independent and self-sufficient. I highly recommend this preschool.

My husband and I are both elementary teachers in the area. As a Kindergarten teacher, I know which skills are crucial for school readiness and success. It was important to me to choose a preschool where our daughter had the opportunity to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. For my husband, he wanted a school that would teach her to respect the learning process and environment and encourage her to develop at her own pace. To our surprise, we found a place where all three of us are happy. After only one year at Montessori Manor, our daughter has already developed all of the fundamental skills that will prepare her for a successful school career. She will begin public school next year and is well beyond prepared. We attribute this to the high expectations and encouragement of the teachers and the program. Leslie is very approachable and is always ready to discuss her students' academics and behavior, even when caught off guard after school. She knows them well and is very knowledgeable about child development. As educators, we have high expectations and feel that MM has more than satisfied our rigorous and diverse demands. We highly recommend MM!

Montessori Manor El Dorado Hills. My Son has been student here for the past 2 years. When we first started to look into preschool for our son, focus was to enroll into a Montessori program. Montessori Manor gave us sense of a well arounded program. Director Leslie Dillon is very hands on with parents and children. Our son now 5yrs old has just blossom since coming from a in home daycare. Academically and socially our son has thrived from this program. The families we have met during our time here at Montessori Manor has been great..we schedule a lot of play dates. This program has the personal touch of a safe and loving place, which we found was very hard to find in a Montessori program. I recommend stopping by and taking look at what this program has to offer!

Montessori Manor El Dorado Hills. My daughter really loves this school and teachers. On weekend, she always cries that she wants to go to school. I also saw the improvment in her academy and socialization. I and my husband are really happy with this school.

When our family arrived in El Dorado Hills in 2012, I visited few preschools in the area. After the initial visit with Leslie, I immediately called my spouse and told her "I found the perfect school for Roxane (our 2 year old)". Since that day i have only been comforted in my choice. If you look for a nurturing and safe place for your child, then this is the place for you and your child. I think we all want to know that our child will be happy, taken care of, and taught how to live with others in a great environment when we drop them off. Miss Leslie and her team of dedicated teachers provide exactly this, every single day of the year. I could go on for a long time talking about the Montessori material in class and all the progresses made by Roxane along the way. Instead, I would just like to say that it is extremely rare to find somebody as experienced as Miss Leslie and as passionate about her work as if it was her first day of ever. I can only recommend that you stop by and visit her and her team, and enroll your child at the Montessori Manor. Christian Labau D.C

We started my daughter at Montessori Manor when she was 2.5 years old. At first we were hesitant, wondering if this was a bit early to start her in a program, being so young. It turned out to be the best decision we could have made for her.....she absolutely loves it! It has been amazing to watch her grow there, both academically and socially. Within months of starting, she was speaking more clearly, talking in sentences, and overall just happy with her routine there. The instructors are all wonderful with her, very patient, and as her parent I've always had excellent communication with them. We cannot recommend this school more!

We relocated to California 6 months ago and being new to the area it meant a lot to pick the perfect school for my 2 boys to attend. After meeting Leslie Dillon the choice was clear that Montessori Manor was the environment I felt my children would strive in best. This school is very dedicated to each and every child. It has a strong social and academic foundation. I can t say enough about how caring and devoted Leslie Dillon and all the teachers are to developing children to their fullest potential. As far as my younger son this is his first experience attending school and he has adjusted beautifully. My older sons reading and math skills have soared since he began there. He is increasingly challenged as he masters his skills. We couldn't be happier with Montessori Manor. I know that my older son will begin First Grade with the confidence and skills to continue succeeding because of his positive experience at Montessori Manor. This is what you want as a parent, a caring & dedicated school staff that goes the extra mile!

My son started at this school at the age of 2 1/2. He has had tremendous development both intellectually, developmentally and socially in less than one year of attending the school. They learn life skills, social interaction skills, developmental growth and of course reading, math, art and language skills. I cannot say enough nice things about this school. Ms. Leslie is amazing with the children. She has many years of experience with teaching and it is definitely very evident. She encourages parental involvement yet at the same time understands the demands of day to day life in a family with both parents working. I have observed the classroom on multiple occasions and found all the teachers to be very patient and hard working. I cannot wait to get my other children into this school.

This is an excellent school that places a strong emphasis on academics. It is also a very nurturing environment. Both my children have attended this school for a number of years and I have been very impressed with how much they have learned and how much they loved going every day. My first child could read fluently after attending the school for one year (by the time she turned four) and was doing first grade work. This is largely due to the structure and high expectations of the school. The school also reinforces the importance of respectful and responsible behavior. I highly recommend Montessori Manor to anyone who is looking for both a nurturing environment and a place with a strong and supportive emphasis on academics.

This is a fabulous school for young children! My twins, Silje and Anders, recently graduated from the preschool program after attending for 1 1/2 years. They know all of their numbers, colors, letters, and letter sounds. In addition to this, they are both reading, adding, and subtracting! They also have an understanding of geography and science concepts along with life skills and current events. Most importantly, the school provided a safe, nurturing, supportive environment which promoted independence while learning. The director, Leslie Dillon, is amazingly supportive. She demonstrates professionalism through her communications with parents, students, and staff. I highly recommend this school for students with all needs. I was always impressed when "dropping in" and observing 20 plus students actively engaged in learning!!

Our 3 year old son attends Montessori Manor. He was previously at home with me and I was extremely weary about transitioning him to an all day program that would allow my husband and I to work full time. Leslie, the director, has been so accommodating to us in working with our schedule! We have tried a couple of other schools in the area and nothing even compares to Montessori Manor! My son's behavior is the greatest testimony, he has come so far in the 6 months he's been attending. The teachers are very loving and the interaction with the children is amazing! My son is pretty shy, but when he sees Miss Leslie or Miss Carrie, he lights up! The school is clean and run well. It is so comforting to be able to leave your child and not have to worry at all! And he is always happy when we pick him up! Within 3 months he was talking about planets and comets, identifying all the letters, and his manners are impeccable! I would highly reccomend this school to anyone who truly wants the BEST for their child!

Our experience at Montessori Manor has been stimulating and rewarding. We believe it has had a very positive impact in our sons' lives. Montessori Manor has strong leadership, challenging academic program and a safe, nurturing environment. We are so pleased with the school, our youngest son is now a student too.

I enrolled my son to Montessori Manor b/c of the positive recommendations from my friend, whose son went to different montessori, out of state. I have to agree that the school's teaching style is quite strict. My son always enjoyed going to preschool. Well, it all changed after we enrolled him @MM. I have been trying all kinds of things--putting him to bed at 7pm, giving him praises, rewards for going there. And he just didn't want to go, was crying every time. i think this teaching style is NOT for all kids. I, personally, think that a 2-4 year olds DO learn their most valuable lessons through play still. And making them do "jobs"/"projects" is great, but not 2-5 hours a day. Their attention span tells us that! Teachers seem knowledgable but also strict. I think every kid needs different approach, parents know that. I feel that MM's approach wasn't fitting my son. I have to give MM credit for holding up to their name "M.Manor", they do a great job at teaching kids manors! However, i didn't notice much academical growth, which Montessori schools are known for.

This is truly a great school. The director's experience in dealing with children of all different needs is amazing. Her abilities as an educator are unparalleled. I'm in the process of sending my second child through this program and will be sending my third when the time comes. One of my children has some sensory processing issues that can make him a challenging child to have in the classroom. The teachers worked hard to meet his special needs and help him to make vast improvements in his ability to function in the classroom environment. He has successfully transferred into our local public school and is doing great. My other child had some developmental delays. The teachers have worked with her and she has made amazing progress! The director and teachers are very adept at working with you and your child to maximize your child's school experience. My children have come out of this program not only with excellent academic skills but life skills as well. I highly recommend this program!

i sent my 4 children through this program. If you are not familiar with the Montessori program, you should visit the school. The Montessori philosophy seemed to make sense when I was looking for a place to put my children. I feel so fortunate to have found this school. The staff was so great to the children. The school is very clean and organized.

I was fortunate to have both my sons attend Montessori Manor. Miss Leslie and her teachers are dedicated to having the best school possible, and they do. I have watched them work miracles with children and they always give 150%. Miss Leslie is a remarkable, giving person and I will always count her as one of my heros.

WE BROUGHT OUR SON TO MANOR 10 YEARS AGO AND HAVE HAD CONTACT WITH SEVERAL OTHER PARENTS THAT STILL HAVE CHILDREN THERE. IT IS FAR SUPERIOR TO ANY SCHOOL IN THIS STATE. MY WIFE IS A MANAGER 1 WITH THE DEPT. OF SOCIAL SERVICES. SHE HAS INVESTIGATORS THAT WORK IN HER OFFICE THAT HAVE NOTHING PUT FOUR STAR COMMENTS ABOUT THIS FACILITY. I AM FLOORED TO READ THE TWO NEGATIVE COMMENTS I READ. THEY ARE FABRICATED AND WITHOUT SUBSTANCE. HOW SAD.

This is hands down THE BEST Montessori School in the Sacramento area. My daughter was delayed due to chronic ear infections and after attending this school, was far more advanced than ANY of her classmates in public school. The teachers are amazing and Mrs. Leslie, the director is EXTREMELY well regarded within the community for being the best Montessori School around. Thank you Leslie and all of the amazing teachers whom make MM what it is!!!

We have been very impressed with Montessori Manor. Our son has learned a tremendous amount in a short period of time and enjoys his time at preschool. We are especially impressed with the quality of the staff and the way they use and teach the kids to use proper manners and grammar -- it's much different than the schools our older children attended where we felt like we had to correct some of the things our kids were learning from their teachers and other students. That's not the case at Montessori Manor -- we are very pleased with the entire program.

My child attends Montessori Manor and loves it. She is learning practical life skills and I have seen an overall improvement in her communication skills since she started going to this preschool. It is apparent to me that the Director is dedicated to providing an organized learning environment to all of her students. Parents are encouraged to participate at the school on a monthly basis which allows me to see what my child's day is like. I am able to observe my child in her environment and see first hand how much she enjoys school. I highly recommend this preschool.
