The school staff is dedicated to helping students. Principal Colvard truly cares about students, parents, and the community. I highly recommend MLK to any family considering a new school because of the teachers!

Having had many experiences with different elementary schools, MLK standouts out. MLK is special and a great school for children to receive an education. Not only do teachers care about the students, but they make sure to communicate with parents. When there is a concern, teachers make sure to schedule a meeting to discuss it. I am impressed with the school!

OUR CHILDREN ATTEND MARTIN LUTHER KING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL HERE IN KINGS COUNTY. THIS SCHOOL IS THE MOST OUTSTANDING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL I HAVE EVER SEEN. THEY ARE ALWAYS PUTING THE KIDS FIRST IN EVERYTHING THAT THEY DO. MY KIDS LOVE THE TEACHERS AND THE STAFF MEMBERS THER AT MLK BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT THEY CAN TRUST AND RELY IN THEM. WE ARE ALWAYS BEING INFORMED ON WHAT THEY ARE DOING WITH THE KIDS AND MAKING A WAY FOR THEM TO GROW IN EVERY ASPECT. WE GET HOME CALLS TO CATCH US PARENTS UP ON WHAT OUR KIDS ARE LEARNING AND WORKING ON AND THAT MEANS ALOT TO OUR FAMILY. THANKS MLK FOR ALWAYS GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR OUR KIDS.

My son has gone to this school for almost 3 years. it is a bad school. The staff are rude and if they do not like a parent (like me) they treat the child differently. My son was advanced in all areas when he attended school in Visalia. He was supposed to go into the gate program, however when we moved to Hanford, I was informed MLK does not have a gate program. My son complains daily about how much he hates his school which makes me sad. He still gets good grades but feels he isn't challenged enough at this school. I would ask for a transfer but we do not have transportation currently. I have brought my concerns up with teachers and staff and they just don't seem to care. Luckily, this is his last year there. Thank goodness!!

This is a great school. The teachers go the extra mile to help out the kids, i volunter and you could see the care that the teachers have for thier students and how the students respect their teachers. I am very proud to say my kids go to this school now my oldiest is off to junior high and i know that he will be well prepared thanks to his time at MLK

This is a good school. What you put into it , is what you're going to get out of it. There's plenty of information and help that this school has to offer, you just have to do the leg work just like everywhere else. I wouldn't want my kids going anywhere else for elementary school.
