I would like to share positive feedback about Century Elementary. I truly appreciate how accessible the administrators and teachers are. Anytime I have a question or concern, they respond in a respectful and timely manner, which makes me feel heard and supported as a parent. The culture at the school is very positive and welcoming, and my child wakes up every day excited and happy to go to school, which says so much about the environment you have created.
I also want to recognize how passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated the staff is. It is clear that the teachers and support staff truly care about the students and their success. I am very impressed with the school campus this year as well. The upgrades that have been made make the school look inviting, well cared for, and prestigious, and it gives me confidence that our children are in a great place to learn.
Another thing I truly value is the support services Century provides for all students. I appreciate that the school meets students where they are and respects the different abilities and learning needs of each child. That kind of care makes a big difference for families.
We are proud Tigers and feel very grateful to be part of the Century Elementary community.

I have two children at this school. We have nothing but positive experiences with the teachers and staff. The TK staff is exceptional, I could not think of a better placement for my son. I have a child in upper grades and each year my child has been supported emotionally, and pushed academically.

I see the principle and vice principle on a daily basis interacting with students, welcoming them to campus in the morning and creating positive culture for each student. I love being a Century Tiger!

Century is a truly special school in the district. My children have attended other schools in the district, but Century stands out because of its strong sense of community. Even though it feeds into a non-Title I high school, the culture never feels elitist. Families from all income levels are welcomed and made to feel like they belong, while the school still maintains a clear sense of character and identity. I believe the long-tenured teachers and experienced administration play a big role in creating that stability and culture. It is a place where students and families feel connected and supported, and I would recommend it for families moving to the area.

Mr. Obrien has been one of the most amazing things that has happened to my child’s education. He is an excellent communicator with parents and truly knows how to connect with kids.

What makes him special is that he doesn’t just focus on making students book smart—he teaches them how to think and solve real-world problems. He is kind, patient, and respectful, while also maintaining the right level of structure and discipline.

He doesn’t demand respect; he naturally earns it through his leadership and the example he sets. He also promotes and practices a healthy lifestyle, which makes a lasting impact on his students. We feel incredibly grateful that our child had the opportunity to learn from him.

Mrs. Crouch has been one of the most wonderful teachers my child has had. She communicates so well with parents and truly knows how to connect with her students.

She doesn’t just focus on making kids book smart—she helps them think, grow, and learn skills that matter in the real world. She is kind, patient, and respectful, while also maintaining the right balance of structure in her classroom.

She also encourages activities like chess and running, helping students develop focus, discipline, and healthy habits. We feel incredibly grateful that our child had the opportunity to be in her class.

we came from different state and i can tell its a big difference, my son is happy, happy to wake up and go to school. This is the second year and overall everything is awesome. Good grades, good teachers, parents are involved , I`m very happy, but whats important is that my child is happy. Never have any issue about bulling, my son said the kids act nicely when are outside so, I cant tell nothing about it. The teachers are really good and love what their doing, the front office always helpful. My son love going to school!

I WAS happy with this school because they took a lot of pride when it came to athletics and academics. The principle made it a point to be seen and involved in EVERYTHING. However, this school goes against it's own zero tolerance policy. Too busy worrying about the money not coming in from absences, they have failed my child in his pride and emotional growth. Bullying was an issue and after going through all the steps, he was still forced to sit directly next to one of the kids who physically harmed him. This school is all about money and test scores and I still regret moving into the CUSD. They have failed my son.

Overall this is a great school. The teachers LOVE their job and show true pride in their work. The PTC is amazing. It's hard to give a bad review when there are only a couple bad apples. A few lower grade teachers are too abbrasive. The principal is very lax when it comes to discipline within his staff.

My son attended the school from Kindegarden through 6th grade and loved it soooo much that he never missed a day of school. The school has both challenging academic and sports/extra curriculum programs. The teachers and staff expect a lot from the children and hold them accountable. They teach them to be organized and self-sufficient, and prepare them for the next level. My child learned to do his homework completely on his own starting in 1st grade! He had awesome teachers every year, except 1 year where he had a teacher that was in the last year before retirement. My son still loved her, but I felt that she didn't give him enough instruction because that was the only year that I saw his test scores slip. I ended up talking to the principle near the end of the school year and she and I both wished that I had said something to her earlier. From then on, the principle made sure he was placed with the teacher that she felt would be the best match academically and temperment for my son. It is a large school with a lot of children, but they give this kind of individual attention because they really care about the kids.
