See the previous reviews. Ethnicity plays a hige role as well as who puts in more money and which mom who does not work helps kore at the school and who's husband has a better job. If your child is bullied they dont do anything. They dont have or enforce the policies or the zero tolerance policies. The new principle and GIS are worse and they favor their kids more so than others. They also dont listen to the kids who express themselves as far as the kids saying hey i dont understand or i need a little more help or so and so push or is saying threatening things to me. Everything gets brushed under the rug. They judge you by the color of your skin and the way you look and treat your kid the same way. Unless your white forget it. This school shouldn't get a 10 and as they get older it gets worse 3 of my kids went here and now granite ridge and clovis north. They are nightmares all the way around. My kids dread going to school and i dont blame them. Not playing a race card here at all. Just being bluntly honest. We are not going to go out of our way to be fake to be liked. People should not be racist and treat our kids wrong because of their skin color. Oh and if your white and cry, your kid will get away with murder. This has happened to my daughter 4 times this year so far and 1 time in front of me. When i brought it up it was brushed under the rug when that kid was clearly in the wrong. Race based. Principle and GIS and lunch time parent helpers are a joke. Make my kid feel uncomfortable along with a few teachers. Entitled kids with their Entitled parents. Apple doesnt fall far from the tree here.

I am astonished to see that the school gets a 10 for equity on this site. This school is run by and caters to white Christian families only. It enforces incredibly rigid gender and racial stereotypes, and my gender expansive child has been bullied and made to feel unsafe. Leadership in the past has disciplined children for talking about families with same-sex parents, even though we know such families who attend the school. Teachers and the principal have ignored my child when she has brought up examples of children bullying a trans child. The health education is opt-in and is a joke. That seems to be district wide, though. Teachers talk about religion, and my kids are constantly pressured to attend church events. This includes students wearing clothing with the school logo and crosses handing out flyers on campus during school hours, even though the district voted to ban outside activities, specifically for the purpose of excluding LGBTQ groups. 10 of 10 do not recommend.

My child attends this school and has for many years. I would not recommend unless you're Caucasian. The school has gotten a little better when they got rid of the GIS. Let's see if it improves now they got rid of the principle. Here's a tip, if you live in the apartments just stay as a group and you will be pandered too.

My child attends this school and I think this is overall a better environment than the school that she previously attended, which was in CUSD. I feel this school is more rounded and diverse. Teacher communication is dependent on which teacher your child has because some teachers are easily accessible and have more willingness to help. Students are supported by admin for my experience. I have seen my child grow and become a better student since attending this school. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because there were a few times that I was frustrated with teacher communication and felt like my child was not being supported, but this is not the majority of the time. I do feel this school has enhanced her self-esteem and has a much better positive school climate from her previous school, which is the top ranking elementary school in the district. I would really like to give the admin and teachers a shout out for making my child’s time memorable and taking time to create meaningful relationships.

I'm commenting as a parent. My two children attended Riverview Elementary school and it was an amazing and wonderful experience for them in all regards. Very approachable administration team plus highly professional and dedicated teachers with smaller student/teacher ratio. This outstanding school prepared both of my kids for a very successful middle school and high school experience. Both graduated from university and are professionals in their fields. Riverview provided them the tools in their tool-box to achieve this high level of success. We're so proud of all of the Clovis schools admin and teachers and their unparalleled success in the education of our precious children. Go Clovis School District!!

NOPE, NOPE, NOPE. My oldest is dyslexic. Wouldn't help her because she got C's and D's. Told me to find an outside tutor. Her 4h grade teacher was horrible. She made fun of her disabilities. It was obvious to other parents as well, that Riverview does NOT want anyone below average on their test scores.

If I had the chance to do it all over, my kids would not of attended Riverview elementary of CUSD in Fresno, CA. They are struggling so much in upper grades because of the neglect. Even after I sent several emails asking for help. The AR point system for reading is ridiculous. No way to track what books they have read without logging into the website, searching for the book on their profile but what 2nd grader or even 4th grader is going to do that!? So what has to happen? The parent then has to search with them in the library after they picked out a book to read. So many times my kids have came home with books they already read the previous year and simply forgot... Sports and cheer are favored. If you don't know the coach personally, good luck.

Both of my kids have so much homework. A 4th grade teacher had my oldest doing 3-4 hours of homework. Hardly anytime for family.

3 out of 6 teachers for my oldest was good for my oldest, 2 out of 6 teachers was good for my youngest.

We have had 5 children attend this school. As long as your child does not have any academic, social or behavior issues, it is a great school. However, if you need a 504, IEP, or retention, expect a fight. The principal does NOT want to have a flaw in the pristine record.

My children attended this school for three years. The teachers go above and beyond for their students. The education provided is top notch and the faculty all seem to genuinely care about the students, even beyond the scope of a school day. I miss this school, and more importantly, my children even miss going to Riverview!

Probably one of the strongest academic programs in Clovis Unified. Fabulous, professional teachers who care about their students and work so hard. The principal is a caring leader with clear direction about how Riverview students and staff should progress and reach their goals. She is point-on, and readily involved with student progress while still providing a fun-family environment and amazing experiences for the children.If I could give this school 6 stars I would!

My granddaughter loves to go to this school every day. She is not even 6 years old and reads books and writes beautiful. I am very impressed with her teacher and the school.

My grandson goes to this school and loves it. His mother loves it, too. He is learning and enjoys this school.
