Having attended Coastline from kindergarten through 8th grade, my experience has been truly life-changing. From the academic rigor to the lifelong friendships and relationships with students and teachers, this school has provided the biblical foundation and guidance for almost every situation post-graduation. Many of my friends from kindergarten (myself included) are studying to become doctors, engineers, programmer, and entrepreneurs because of the skills and knowledge that we’ve gained from our nine years of a Jesus-first, others-second Coastline education.

The homework balances academic rigor and practical application, varying between traditional assignments and group projects. The homework level engages the students while fostering an environment of collaboration and teamwork.

Practically every teacher knows every student by name (whether or not they are in their class). The teachers are well equipped with the skills and technology to create engaging and practical learning environments. Each faculty member is truly dedicated to every single student both inside and outside of the classroom.

Coastline’s mission as an extension of the church and family is clearly evident throughout everything. From the daily chapel services and “call to action” to the plethora of community involvement, students are taught daily what it means to live a “what would Jesus do” lifestyle. Empathy and service are hugely integral to the school culture. Whether serving those with need around the world through Stop Hunger Now or Operation Christmas Child or volunteering in the community, students are taught what is means to serve like Jesus.

The leadership programs and related initiatives help foster an environment for the older students to mentor and lead-by-example for the younger students. The junior high program offers an array of opportunities for leadership: serving low income neighbors at the Unity Shoppe or the homeless at the Transition House, making food bags for “our friends without homes”, serving other students through leadership/mentorship programs, and attending a week-long missions trip abroad or within an inner city.

Personalized teacher aides help guide alternative and supportive learning for students with an array of needs. From speech therapy to reading guidance or math tutoring, the teacher aides help tailor the classes to the students particular needs.

Community and student culture is hugely important and bully is taken very seriously. Students are expected and help to accountability to create an inclusive and supportive environment. Bullying is appropriately handled with biblical guidance.

The principal Mrs. Underwood is truly a kind educator. She sincerely cares about students in this school. The campus is tidy and beautiful.

This school has been an outstanding fit for our family. Our kids are happy to go to school every morning. They are growing not just academically but as kind, compassionate, thoughtful people.

This school really stands out among others. They teach the students to be others-centered, to be kind to one another, and encourage as well as foster friendships between all school mates. The quality of their academic program is VERY HIGH. The principal is absolutely amazing, she knows EVERY student by name and is so approachable. They have an amazing math program where if a child is excelling in a certain level, they are not held back at the same level as the other students. Math is done at the same hour for all grades and students that are excelling, are able to go to the higher grades during that hour to continue to excel in math. My daughter who is in kindergarten was reading so well by the end of January, I was blown away! There are so many ways this school is amazing and stands out. They have chapel every morning. I love how much of the focus of this school is on Jesus and the example he set us. In the end of each chapel service there is a "call to action", and that's basically a call to practically apply our faith in a practical way. Parents are welcome and allowed to attend the chapel every morning. This school was recommended to us by so many people. We love it!

Our family has been involved with Coastline for 10 years and it has been such a blessing for our two granddaughters. The foundation that they were given at this incredible loving school is , in my opinion, unsurpassed. Biblical teaching, respect, values, intergrity, love, warmth, caring and sharing all represent Coasline Christian Academy. A total team from Mary Osgood, principal, to all the other teachers is a continuity that forms and molds each child's character to have them become the best they can be and to represent their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Is just doesn't get any better!

Coastline Christian Academy is an excellent school and has contributed BIG TIME to the intellectual, spiritual and social development of my daughter Jenna. The academics are excellent, the staff exceptional. Thank you! You are ALL amazing!
