I was a student here for one and a half semesters.
The school has a great concept: small pools of students working on interactive projects and being sent on weekly internships.
However, the execution is poor. In my time, the teachers were cycled on a regular basis, schedules were often changed, and there is a budget issue.
This school seems to have been in a strange purgatory, with just enough structure to keep those few students who really know what they want to do from doing that, but not structured enough to get students immersed in their classes. Again, great concept, bad execution. The grounds are poor, the rooms are poor, etc. Fortunately, there is a computer room. It's not high-tech, but there's enough computers for a full class to work at once. They're of course perfect for things like powerpoint & writing, but don't think you'll be doing any fancy digital art or programming.
The school feels like its missing something. And if it just got that one thing, it'd be pushed over the edge, and become a great place. But as of now, it just isn't.

The spectrum shifts wildly: there are some great teachers, and some horrible teachers. The star teach, a Mrs. K Roubedaux, was absolutely fantastic, but has since moved on from this school to another.

I am a teacher and have a student enrolled in Big Picture's Middle School and love it! The teachers are very dedicated and encourage the students to grow and set goals for their future. I encourage everyone in Fresno that has a 7th grader (or higher) to check out our school! You won't regret it!
