My daughter was being bullied and they never did nothing to stop it they told me they talk to the students that were bullied my daughter but once I spoke to the the mom of one of my daughter bullied she said she have no idea what was I talking about ... I move form a different school district they were not willing to work with me

This is the problem school of lake Elsinore. All of the problem kids get sent to this school. My oldest had to be transfered out of this school due to bullying, and they transfered the bully with him... To where the next year said bully pulled a knife on my son. I had to personally get the police involved after they tried to brush it under the rug against state law.
The principle here has a doctorate and will demand you address him by dr. He's ok though, I feel he really cares about the students and school as a whole. His assistant or vice principle is on another level, obviously not qualified to do the job, is very passive aggressive, and quick to claim you are an issue if she disagrees with you.
My youngest is now being forced to go here, I tried to transfer him but they declined. Now I'm forced to move altogether, all so my 6 year old doesn't have to experience what my now 13 year old did.. because it's already starting.
My oldest got transfered to terra cotta, and while he was ahead at Lakeland village, he was far behind terra cottas structured curriculum. Do your kids a favor, don't send them here, unless they are handicapped. Handicapped get treated like royalty here, with every else getting substandard care

As a college student and parent of two kids attending Lakeland Village School, I can confidently say this school has exceeded my expectations. From day one, the teachers have been incredibly supportive, not just academically but also in fostering a positive and encouraging environment for my children.

One of the things I appreciate most is the strong relationship I’ve built with the teachers. They are always communicative, proactive, and genuinely invested in my kids’ success. Whether it’s providing extra help when needed or keeping me informed on their progress, they’re there every step of the way.

My kids love going to school here, and that speaks volumes. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is dedicated, and the overall experience has been nothing but positive. I 100% recommend Lakeland Village School to any parent looking for a place where their children will be supported, challenged, and cared for.

My son was bullied as early as Kinder, I met with the principle and the dean of students and little to nothing was done. It is bad enough that academically this school was poor. I transferred out of this school.

This school is a joke!! The curriculum is very poor and teachers pick out students that stick up for themselves and they will treat that student badly .The principle is more into movie night, bingo, and confession stand snacks quote "sales" rather than making sure students are succeeding and not being bullied .The rating is a 2 out of 10 and I can see why.

Because bullying is permitted, the teachers and staff couldn't care less about the students. The children are treated like animals and unfortunately behave like animals in return.

i went to this school (2008-2010) and it was one of the worst experiences in my life! I was bullied to no end to the point were in 8th grade I was scared to go to school ,hated myself,hated my life,and didn't wanna go to that school anymore and wanted to transfer to terra cotta even though there was only 3 months of school left. I was constantly being called names got a pen and pencil sharpener thrown at my head and both times I got suspended. apparently you can throw things at peoples heads but got forbid you lay a hand on them! all the bully got was a slap on the wrist and I got suspended!

This school is a joke. A good school has a good dedicated administration who does not tolerate bullying by students or facilty. They would resolve the sisutation by disciplining the "bully". But instead the one who gets bullied is the one who gets disciplined and the "bully" is not disciplined. In my oponion this school needs a good house cleaning take out those who are only their for a paycheck, and bring in ones who care. Then the facilty and administration who care get the credit they deserve for their work when the rating of school actually goes up.

All I can say is I'm sad that I wasted two years of my kids lives at this school! Look around! Much better schools just up the road. They need a huge make over here and yes there are a few good teachers here..but that is it. They need to clean house starting from the top!

So, today is the first day at a new school, in a new state and I have to tell you that I am only giving it a 2 star because I am so frustrated with them. Other people tell me that it's California, blah blah blah. My son is on his 5th school in 5 years in 5 different states and this was the hardest school to get him registered in. You had better have every last piece of paper you ever thought that you may need one day and not count on any other school to get it for you. Finally today (school started yesterday) I got the magical 30 day waiver to get the last school to actually get off of their butts and fax over the necessary paperwork. I flat out told the woman in the office that a whole lotta drama could have been avoided if they simply let me sign that one paper last week! Updates to come. Apparently his teacher of a class of 34 (!) is really good....

So far, I am giving this school 3 stars. They seem really nice although their procedures are much different than the other schools that my son has been in and it's causing me more to do while trying to get everything else settled having just moved here. Hopefully, he will be all set to go by the start of school in two days!

The school has a great office staff, principal, and teaching staff! The special ED class is wonderful and the teacher Miss McClain is amazing!

Despite all the terrible comments i heard about this school, i still chose to send my son there and after almost 3 years he loves it. Although i admit that having a good teacher is a plus, the way our kids choose to behave is what makes the difference. My son has been in other schools and his performance level has not been affected by being at this school.

Last year was not a good year at Lakeland, my 5th grader was harrassed by the boys talking to her as tho she were a Hollywood Blvd.prostitute and when it got to be too much to bare she finally told. She then became :The SNITCH" and was threatened the entire rest of the year. Nothing was done about this on Management side. This year we're hoping that with new leadership, things will change, she is scared to go back but she wants so much to go to school. She is an Honor student and carries straight A's. There is no need for her to have to live in this environment. So if things don't change for her I have no choice but to find another school or try ONLINE ACADEMY.... wish her luck, she just wants to behappy and have friends like all of your kids do. Note to Parents... teach your boys to show girls some respect , your kids are looking to you for leadership and guidence, you're raising the men of the future, what kind of man do you want your son to be?. Teachers.. pay attention to the classroom environment and get your heads out of your own problems. Princapals & VP's... these kids are looking to you for guidence and support. Don't let them down

I was hired at this school recently and have heard negative feelings toward it. Now working here for a few months I cannot believe how different it is. I have my son at a private kinder. Needing a new school for him to go into first, I am strongly considering this school! It has great leadership, who are visible on campus at all times of the day. Also great teachers working compassionitely towards common goals. Families will be lucky to have their student here

I'm an original parent from Butterfield before the school closed down and we moved over to Lakeland Village School. I admit the first year was a little rough for all of us. (parents, teachers, office staff) I remember the second week of school (2010) I came in the office with my kids to volunteer and the office staff had the "deer-in-headlights look", since they didn't get that much parent help before the merger. (I assume) So I couldn't blame her for that look. I did witness some issues that year in the beginning where they would treat an K - 1st grader like a middle school kid, when they did something wrong, but like the previous issue, it was a new experience for everyone. I admit the first year I was going to transfer my kids to another school, but after we got all the kinks out, it has been great here for them. All the office staff, teachers, principle, vice principle, playground aids are friendly. When I volunteer most of the K-5 kids always come up to me to say hi or to give me a hug. It feels great to be able to help in my kids classes.

I couldn't disagree more with the writer below. I am an original parent from Lakeland Village Middle School who was very active both before and after the merge. While of course the situation was not of anyone's choosing, and the beginning was a little rough, the school (both teachers, administration and students) came together to make last year a very successful school year. While I personally have not agreed with every choice that was made, I respect the effort and thought that was put in by the administration. They are quick to respond to questions and concerns, and are genuinely interested in parental involvement. If you didn't like the school environment, you should get involved and help to facilitate change. Volunteers are desperately needed and always welcomed. They are willing to work around work schedules and child care needs. Your child's school environment is partially your responsibility. Be part of the process. Get to know the teachers and the administrators and exert some effort on your child's behalf. They will remember your participation forever.

My son went to this school because Butterfield Elementary shut down. We were eagerly looking forward to the K-8 experience. Unfortunatley we were let down tremendously. Most of the teachers are great, mainly because they were from Butterfield. The principal and assistant principal were not willing to work with the parent nor the student. Without good leaders it is not a good environment.
