Safty on the zero level. Kids after finishing the class allows to go otside them self, teachets are bot passing 2-3 grades directly to the family members. I sevelat time send my friend to pick my doughter and npbpdy even ask who is he and why he is grabbong thst children. Education level on very low level. I teach myself my chold at fome more than they get it during the lessons. Pick and drop off zone is just dangarous for children.

School gets a new principal about every year. That should tell you something. I have 3 students here and the stuff they are told or witness is unacceptable. You can just tell the staff are angry and the teachers care more about their contracts then they do about teaching. There are other options.

This school has gone downhill and fast. The staff and faculty create adversarial relationships with parents rather than partnerships. Rules are followed selectively and many teacher especially in the physical education department operate a bully mindset and regularly criticize students. Teachers actively instruct your children to not share conversations they are having with your student creating an atmosphere of secrecy and confusion. Very little active instruction and zero, read that zero interest in your child's development as a thinking, feeling and caring human being.

We bought a house specifically for this school and it was a huge mistake!

Two of my daughter’s teachers at Sunset Ranch were hard-core creationists who could not keep their religious and political opinions to themselves. We had to spend thousands on math tutoring and the math tutors were horrified by what she was “learning” at this school!

Bullying and bad behavior is a serious issue here, which negatively impacts the learning environment.

Some of the teachers needed to be let go and weren’t despite “any teacher but her” requests year after year.

I can't say enough good things about this school. I mean, if you're looking for the best school in the greater Sacramento area, this is it. You wont find a better class of parents/teachers/staff than at Sunset Ranch. Many parents are actively involved here also. There are also an unbelievable amount of enrichment programs available at this school. There is a chess club, bowling club, cooking club, science club, early engineers, hip hop dance club, golf, tennis, soccer, art, ect. There are also Mandarin Chinese classes and probably a whole lot more I'm forgetting. Here your child really will get a private school education in a public school setting.

We have two children attending this school and we could not be happier about it! Both of my children have had excellent teachers, they love being a part of the school and activities, and have made wonderful friends too. They have an excellent academic program with a top notch science lab, accelerated reading programs, current technology and so much more. They also offer a lot of great after school programs that include art, music, foreign language, engineering, sports, etc.... We feel very lucky to have such a great neighborhood school!
