First, I would like to express my concerns about the changes at the school since the appointment of the new principal, Dr. Brown. Unfortunately, the school environment has declined significantly during this time. I feel that many students have had negative experiences, and there is a growing sense that student well-being and mental health are not being given enough attention.
It often seems that the primary focus has been on building trust with parents, teachers, and staff, while the needs and concerns of students are sometimes overlooked. Communication has also been frustrating at times, as information shared with parents and students does not always feel clear or consistent.
I would like to acknowledge that the office staff have been kind and supportive whenever I have interacted with them. I appreciate their efforts and understand that they may have limitations in what they are able to address.
Overall, I hope that these concerns will be taken seriously and that positive changes can be made to better support the students and improve the school environment.

As a former employee, I can tell you that the teachers mean well; however many certified teachers are leaving the school due to the conditions. Despite that Great Schools says that all teachers are certified, this is absolutely not true. Many students are district interns and do not have their certification yet. This is because the school pays well under the average of other schools. The new principal does not support neurodiversity and forced a teacher to resign because she had ADHD even though she was one of the most popular teacher with the students and the parents. Some of the teachers are in classrooms much too small for 25 students and have walls thin enough that they can hear everything said in the neighboring classrooms making test taking very difficult. There is ongoing issues with the sewage system and the school periodically smells like raw sewage. The office staff is are the best people I have ever worked with. They do all they can; but they are very understaffed. The new principal does not appear to value the Punjabi teachers as much as the old administration, referring to then as teaching "a foreign language"...having no understanding that for 98 percent of the students, it is English that is the second language they are learning. Several of the teachers who decided not to leave this year have decided to seek other jobs after the next year. This high turnover is an indication of the stress on the staff. I feel sorry for the office staff and teachers who remain. The counselor and the special education director are wonderful, but I do not believe the school can attract good teachers for long.

One of the best schools one can have for their kid, School may not be as big as some community schools in town but their focus on quality education is a win win. During the COVID-19 times when many schools were struggling, SVCS was ready to go with online classes for continued education. Smaller class rooms one on one approach and bully free environment. Definitely recommend to everyone looking for enrolling there.
