I started the independent study program in the first 6 months of 2nd grade then went to classroom-based learning. Throughout the 7 years I have been at this school. I have been physically and mentally bullied by all of my peers because I am autistic and at the time wasn't understanding my environment that well. I was even told that I should just harm myself multiple times. When I tried telling the staff they just either ignored me or favored the bullies. This led me to a serious depression and made me suicidal for a while. There were a couple staff members that really understood me in which I appreciated, but if I was asked if I wanted to go there again, I would say no. They don't go for what they preach about and DO NOT follow the 7 habits. The education was mediocre there were some good teachers and some really bad ones. Would not recommend going if your child is on the spectrum or has any other disability.

I went to this school for 9 years and this school was horrid, the teachers were horrible and the students were to. And if you were getting bullied, they would trust the other person and blame you. This this school made me suicidal and depressed

This school will NOT protect your child from being bullied. As far as some of the staff, they cannot be trusted. I went as far as the school board. I was told if this school is so bad and my child is having such a hard time why do I keep him there. So, I had no choice but to take my child out of this school.

This school has been a great change for us and my children really enjoy all the extras this school has to offer. We are glad we moved to this school and the teachers have been great.

The academics are ok. Your kid will get the basics. It's the environment that is a problem. Bullying is a problem and the bullies are the ones who are protected and listened to, get the attention, and then cheered if they no longer get in trouble. The victims are silenced and are the ones who end up being treated like the problem.

We rate this school a 1 out of 10. The staff are unwilling to solve a problem that your kid may have as far as bullying. We personally had problems on top of problems that were not getting solved. All of this really did effect my son's wellbeing and education at this school sadly. They gave us no choice but to home school our child because of how bad it was. They made my son's and our first experience in a school terrible. They don't practice what they preach. They don't practice leadership nor the 7 habits that they hold so highly for the school's sole purpose.

At this school there was constant bullying, racial remarks from other children (my son being half filipino), and teachers bullying their own students. We personally did not have a great experience at this school. Unless you are the race of the majority in this school, your kid will get excluded and picked on.

We love Valley Life! They have grown so much as a school over the years and it is exciting to have our kids a part of that. The staff is wonderful and always working to improve. I know my kids are loved and protected while at school. My kids have grown tremendously because of the awesome teachers!

My son brings home age-appropriate work in small amounts as homework. He is given plenty of time to complete his assignments.

Leadership in students is a huge focus at this school through the Leader In Me program. It's amazing the traits and skills that it can teach students, even in kindergarten!

Great school that has many opportunities that other schools lack, such as art, dance, Spanish, and music at every grade level. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People make for a great leadership culture that teaches students how to be a great leader throughout their life both at school and in the community.

There is a strong leadership presence at the front gates in the mornings and afternoons. I feel that staff is easily approached to get questions or concerns met.

I have seen a variety of students with a variety of needs. There seems to be support for many different needs such as: speech, counseling, intervention, etc. Parents seem happy from what I can tell.

The school day is a little longer. Most homework is for students to read, complete classwork or do a project from time to time.

We have fantastic experiences with our girls' teachers. Communication, care and high expectations have always been evident.

My eldest son spent 7th and 8th grade here. My questions and concerns were always promptly addressed. Teachers kept constant communication with me either concerns or praises. Now my middle son is attending and he hasn't had anything negative to say!!!
