I am very disappointed with the lack of communication and support from the principal and school staff this entire school year. My daughter has been bullied repeatedly, including being physically hit by another student. There were teachers who witnessed the situation and did nothing to stop it or properly address it.
As a parent, I made many attempts throughout the year to speak with the principal and express my concerns, but I felt ignored and unheard every time. No parent should have to beg for help when their childs safety and emotional well-being are at risk.Schools are supposed to provide a safe environment for students, and unfortunately that was not our experience. I hope this school takes bullying more seriously in the future and improves communication with parents before another child feels unsafe or unsupported.

Well you see their scoring, that should be enough in itself. The campus is open, so wild coyotes and homeless individuals roam the campus. Communication is extremely poor, parents concerns are completely disregarded. They push politicical agendas/ideology on students. They take no accountability for their faults. My kids have fallen way behind. The staff turn over is concerning. No the classes are not small 25-30 students in each. No your child will not learn a musical instrument. There is only one performance (christmas).

I really love this school because it's a small school and I feel teachers have better communication with the students and parents. Appreciate having (PB
IS) Mr. Eddy and Ms. Grisso they help students with any bad behavior problems. Also all the teachers that my kids have had they been amazing. I have 3 kids they will be going into 2nd,5th and 6th grade this will be the 4year attending.

Let me first start by saying that not every school is a match for every student so be cautious when reading reviews. This school happens to be an excellent match for my daughter! Julia Lee has so much to offer students who are inclined to excel in any of the various arts. Dance, Art and Music are built into the daily curriculum. They are learning to be dancers, actors, musicians, and artists but most importantly how to be respectful, productive and kind human beings. Student wear uniforms to reduce distractions and foster a sense community. Students participate in multiple cultural events and celebrations throughout the year. The teachers that I have encountered have been no less than excellent. They provide hands-on learning experiences that directly correlate to their curriculum. My daughter also attends the Rising Stars After School Program. This is a structured program supervised by qualified staff and yes, also student interns. This ties into my comment above on how the school is teaching students how to be productive members of society. This is allowing them to learn early job skills. The afterschool program assists students with homework and provides various structured activities for the children to participate in. This program also has an option for any student who wishes to participate in something called Invention Convention. This happens to be the only School that participates from the entire county of Riverside. Students research and build an invention of their choosing.
If chosen, they move on to state competition and potentially to national competition. Such amazing experiences for young learners! I would highly recommend this school if your student has any interests in the things I have mentioned

There is finally a small play area available for children TK - 3rd. Asphalt parking lot is used for grades 4 - 8th. High turn-over for middle school students and low standard for recruitment of middle school teachers. Expect complaints about staff to go unresolved. Students are not supported. My child has had 3 different teachers for the same subject this school year. After school care is an "internship" for middle school students so there is no care, but rather an expectation to work for no pay. Don't be fooled by the advertisement of free after school care since your child will be paying for it.

This school has the worst communication when talking to parents and claims things on their website that are not true. They say there are small class sizes but my childs class had 30 in it. Also, there is no real playground or space for the kids to play and there isnt even a library.

My son watches more movies at Julia Lee than he does at home.
There is no communication on how students are doing in class.
I asked his teacher if she could differentiate for my son and she told me to buy a workbook from Walmart.
Dance and Music classes are canceled more than they are held.
Only do 2 performances a year. And seating is limited to immediate family so grandparents aren't welcome.

My daughters attend this wonderful school. Before joining JLPAA, my youngest was struggling with her courses both in-class and at home. Now, she is thriving along with her older sisters and I couldn't be more thankful to the teachers and staff. The teachers are supportive with the students and they push every student to succeed. They have an amazing music program that the kids enjoy. From our experience, my children have never had any issues making friends at the school. I highly recommend JLPAA to everyone!!
