They never stock up on the vending machines and i am starving for a snack in class and we do not even have access to food while we are in class which is sick and twisted.

Not a positive one at all. Alot of parents, including myself are not treated as being part of a community working together to help all students succeed.

A math teacher has students do homework daily for weeks. Then, they are allowed 1 homework review day before a test. Also, this school is not like others that have certain teachers who stay 1 hour after school, for effective tutoring. It is not a priority at this school.

Most teachers do an excellent or good job, considering the stressful climate at this school, caused by the Principal and her inner circle, and many disrespectful students. There are some teachers though that definitely could be doing a better job.

From what it appears, PBIS lessons are hardly working at all, among other things.

Principal Barbara Lawrence-Emanuel lacks leadership skills. She also focuses on sports, the band, jazz band, sports medicine...She also has caused so many Vice-principals, and teachers to leave. You cannot have a great school if you have your own personal agenda, and are not looking for ways to help more students succeed. Technology classes were requested two years ago, but Principal refused to make it happen.

Not what I heard from some parents. If you are a parent who goes to this school looking for additional support for your child, you are usually not wanted there. Not a welcoming environment.

The overall climate at this school appears to be students are not driven to be the best that they can be, or be respectful, like the students at Alisal that feel like they are part of a community. That there are alot of clubs, and programs for them. So, this can lead to more bullying. We also have alot of fights on, and off campus.

There is no anti-bullying program. It just doesn't exist. Students are allowed to bully teachers, that's how bad it is at North High

The school leadership does not have a model for communicating with his teachers that is effective and transparent.

The administration does not care. It does not promote academic excellence at the school.

Mamy teachers, especially new teachers, are very much disrespected by students at the school. The use of profanity, violence, stealing, is quite common at the school from students.

They receive little support from admins. And they teach their heart out. Student culture is not academic. So, teachers are not.appreciated for.what they do.

Absolutely terrible. I have never se n a school like this. It is unbelievably sad.

From what I have seen, this school has been extremely a positive for my daughter. Her academics have improved since she started here. One thing I will mention is this, how our kids do it not the sole responsibility of any school.. whether your student attends a top notch school or a school such as this that does not have the best record, it is also the parents job to do their part with their child once they are home. You have to invest into your child. Do homework and projects with them. You brought your child into this world. Take their studies into your hands as well and INVEST in them : )

Worse high school ever! The administration is extremely incompetent. The school has excellent teachers but the admin is much less desirable. The new principal is non responsive to parents and students. She is never available and when she is, half the time she's very rude. The administration isn't even aware of Ed Code to the point where parents have to explain their rights to school admin.
