Some of the teachers and supervisors love to spend too much time on their phones I visited my son there and I saw a kid climb a tree and one of the supervisors was just playing a game on her phone ignoring him.

My son attends TB since 1st grade...He loves school the first 2 years, he is in 3 grade now..he always tears when comes to his math homework. Teacher assured me that he is fine and is doing well in class. Problem keeps continued...that's when i know he has a bigger learning (math) at school. I took him for an assessment at a private tutoring school. ..he gots only 40% which means which this # he should be mastered at 2nd grader. I still wonders how did he passed the test at the school. Did school just push kids on the side to keep the score high? What happens to no kids left behind..? My son loves his peers there.

Very self-reliant on raising money from PTA fundraisers and school events to make great improvements throughout the school with brand new smart boards for every classroom! The area that needs improvements are the imbalance of daily work given by teachers of the same grade level.

We have a great parent support group and many fundraisers to help with teaching tools, computers and most recently "Smartboards". However our school does lack in decent lunches but this is the vault of Capo Unified school system. Also the classroom sizes are very large. The teachers are enthusiastic and stay on task and genuinely care about helping our kids learn.

As many have stated, a school is only as good as your child's teacher. I have had two children go through Truman. My first went through the lower grades under the 20:1 ratios. My younger child did not have that opportunity. Both children were designated GATE, but I have no idea why they even bother. There is no differentiating in their education, in fact it almost makes it worse as the teachers feel like they don't need to teach them as their test scores will be off the chart. In most cases, my younger was reading a book every couple of days because he would finish his work so quickly and would have to wait for the rest of the class to finish. On most days, I felt like I could homeschool him but he liked to see his friends and have PE.
