Fantastic school. The staff does an excellent job providing a well rounded education balanced with school spirit and support for all students. Advanced classes in math, STEM, Spanish and other electives offered. The band and choir programs are excellent with professional level instruction. Student leadership opportunities are available and encouraged.

Great school and principal. The teachers seem to enjoy teaching at this school. Beautiful small campus with lots of trees. Not as rowdy as other junior highs. Very well run school.

Honestly, this school did not deserve its 10/10. I was in advanced classes, but my teachers had almost no control over them. Students who struggle slip through the cracks, and the top students are not provided with challenges. The science program is actually worth it, and was considerably better than my other schools. 7th grade core is what really motivated me to leave this review. Simply put, the teacher was not prepared to handle middle schoolers with her current experience level. The class acted up horribly, and she made no effort to teach.
Curriculum: 5/10 (science saved it)
Teachers: 4/10 (again science)
Bullying: not really, but since it was during Covid, days were short

Terrible School. The STEM teacher will send you to the office for talking to your friend, gym teacher wont let you go to the bathroom ever, kids get beat up and bullied all the time, overall bad experience. DO NOT GO HERE.

The teachers here are very good and students really learn something. I was very impressed with the math teacher Mrs. Hampton who made math fun for my son who does not love math and he had very strong test scores in the CAASP test at the end of the year! The electives get assigned, so are not really electible, but they are really interesting and fun! They've changed their homework policies and homework was acceptable in 7th and good in 8th grade. 8th grade is a fun, enjoyable, interesting year of calm before the storm of high school. It's a small school so their sport teams are not very competitive, but their academics are great.

The school has changed homework policy and it is very reasonable now.

Mrs. Hampton is the best math teacher ever!

I had hoped for so much more. The homework is far to excessive. The teachers do not get to know your child and they are completely unwilling to work with parents and students on the subject of homework. Despite the claims of the school website technology assets are old and insufficient to what they want from students. It could be a beautiful campus but it is poorly maintained and unkempt. They made a promise to replace and repair the basketball hoops on the playground before the start of the year but did not. wish I could post a photo. There are some very good teachers there, but the school and the district in general seem headed in the wrong direction and it is hard to see the benifits of the local ESF foundation contributions.

The children bully each other and the parents and staff are in a state of complete denial. Excessive homework and oppressive environment.
