Ortega High School has a bad reputation but most of these opinions come from people who have never attended or even stepped foot on the campus. A friend of mine was worried about her grades and was afraid that she would be sent to OHS. She said she didn't like that school and said some other offensive comments about it. When I asked her why and if she has ever been there and she said she just didn't and she has only seen the campus. As a former student, i can say that attending Ortega was the best thing that has ever happened to me, academically and socially. The staff there is great. It is more like one big family. Everyone makes you feel welcomed, everyone knows basically everyone, and the fact that there is only a few kids helps out a lot because students get the attention and help they need. I even regret transferring back to my " home school" because OHS was ans is my home school. It was a great experience and it helped improve my personality and many aspects of my life.

Ortega high school is a fantastic school the staff are extremely helpful and they realy do care about the students, as a student I feel I can talk to the staff about anything. This school is the best thing that has ever happend to me
