They use a Social Emotion Learning curriculum that TEACHES students how to deal with strong emotions and social situations. Starting in Kindergarten, all the way through 8th grade, students are given lessons on empathy, stress, anger, bullying, etc. Very cool to see a school work so hard on student's well-being and behaviors.

I went to this school from kindergarten through 8th grade. I have so many great memories there and it really got me ready for High School. I always felt like the teachers actually cared about me learning, and I could talk to them about stuff going on in my life. I have since earned my B.A. and I'm almost done with my Master of Arts in Mathematics. Love this school and always will.

My grandsons attended this school years ago. I remember them having homework and completing it without protest. They graduated with a BA and good grades, are now successfully employed; thus, I think the school had an effective approach to homework, assigning just the right amount appropriate to the age group.

Both my grandsons attended Santa Ynez Elementary School and received an excellent primary school education which allowed them to successfully complete middle school, high school and university training. Some of the same teachers are still there.

My grandsons received an excellent primary school education at SY Elementary, allowing them to progress successfully through middle school, high school and graduate with bachelor degrees from the university. I can attest to their integrity, compassion & respect for others. One is an elementary teacher, and the other is in a cyber security program. They both have started families & are excellent members of society. I believe their early school training enabled them to succeed in life.

My grandsons were normal students so I didn't experience how students with learning differences were treated. However, I think the Principal and teachers are excellent; thus, I trust they fully supported students with learning differences.

Both of my grandsons attended Santa Ynez Elementary School. Ive followed their progress, encouraging them to get good grades and show an interest in a variety of subjects. Both boys eventually received bachelor degrees, with one currently working on a masters. While parents & grandparents may encourage students to excel in school, its important that students have access to a quality education with a good curriculum. SY Elementary excelled in providing my grandsons with an excellent primary school education allowing them to progress successfully through middle school and high school. I understand that some of the teachers who taught my grandsons years ago are still there today. The Principal and Teachers at SY Elementary are to be commended for their dedication to excellence.

My daughter has been attending this school since 2nd grade and has really enjoyed it. Each teacher has been excellent and has worked with her and her advanced needs. We appreciate the smaller classroom sizes. GATE is an especially fun and inventive class. It's a pleasure to be involved with a small town school and receive the added attention as a result.
