My daughter in all her years in the school, loved her teachers, including subs! The teachers were great and really good in what they were teaching.

My daughter is a bookworm, but she never complained on her school work and actually loved the way they do things.

They set examples themselves, and motivate students to do the same. Young minds can just mimic what they've been shown, so I guess success thrives when students are always given a good examples.

My daughter just finished her elementary grades in there and being a public school, the teachers were all pretty awesome!! They are on top of their students, involved with their activities, and gave strong motivation for learning. Parents too are well abreast of what's happening with their student.

My son goes to this school and so far it has been a great one for him. His teacher Mrs. Cook is so great and always rewards the children. My son loves to learn, especially new languages. So when he comes home and tells me what he learn each day it's definitely rewarding and as a parent it's our responsibility to re-enforce what the teacher teach them at home so what they learn in school is consistent. We should not depend on the teachers to do everything for us. They are not babysitters. They are there to teach and help our children get to the next stage. The assistant principal is wonderful and always there to greet parents and children every morning. This is a good school but if you are looking for someone to do a one on one with your child this is not the place for your kid because like most public school they all have 30 to 32 students in their classes.

This school is by far one of the worst schools my kids have attended. Moving from another city I would definitely stay far away from this district. The principal is horrible and does not show any type of involvement. They do not help the kids exceed. They put limitations on what a child is capable to learn. They make it complicated for parents to be involved. It almost seems like they prefer no parent involvement. Please... If you value your children's education, do not allow them to attend this school! Listen to all the bad reviews because they are right!! What a joke of a school and joke of a district!!

This school is very great Mrs. Lester is nice and a good vice Principle. Very good school.

I can't imagine a worse learning environment...I have been so appauled with the schools performance that I can hardly think of words to describe it. First off - if your kid doesn't speak spanish, you'd better hope they pick it up quickly...and the teachers spend so much time with the ESL students and curriculum, that the english-speaking kids hardly get any personal attention. The classes are overcrowded. There is absolutely NO parent-teacher autonomy...you have to practically threaten theese people to get any information out of them about how and what your child is doing in class. This year, they didn't even send home information about scheduled down days and in-service days. The standards and methods they use for teaching are also very strange - I have to reteach my child almost every lesson she "learns" in this school, because their methods are simply ridiculous, and make no common sense. Of course, that part is probably part of the "no-child-left-behind" catastrophe, and not an exclusive problem of this school. My child will be attending private school next year; and I feel terrible for the families who are STUCK in a position where their kids HAVE to go here.

Battles School has a great staff of teachers. There is a wonderful environment for learning.
