This school fails to moderate the actions/behaviors of the students inside. Constant fights break out as well as sexual harrassment. The staff don't know what they're doing and whenever you try to report these issues, they'll openly admit they won't/can't do anything about it. All students (disabled too) are all held to the same standards. Why let your children be in a school as this dangerous while being under the care of people that are legally incapable or taking care of your children?

Layout
I find the 900s RIDICULOUS for any student is less than able. 8 minutes time to walk what seems like a longer distance than the track. My poor friend got so many 900s classes. She has to walk back and fourth. The schedules are so disorganized that it feels like there's an AI doing it for the school, which is to be expected for 2k students; but at least make it function well.I'm not too on that, though. Anyways, why have PE when you're tortured enough when walking back and fourth all day? Its tiring and hot. Whoever thought that space between the 900s and everything else was a good thing for students (disabled or not) too deal with is disgusting. The design of this school is very unsettling. Why a new culinary room when the female's locker room looks (and smells) like it hasn't been cleaned or fixed up since the cold war? The pure neglection to students needs are high. Design does matter, that's a fact.

Food
A problem with the design is that not everyone can get food during lunch. Sure there's little carts, but they aren't promising or filling. Soo many students have to make their way to the singular food area just to see everything is gone. Hey, at least the food is good quality since it lacks of sugar, high fructose corn syrup, too much salt, anything with taste really. Maybe they just say that when in reality they buy the foods with less ingredients because it's cheaper. One thing I've noticed are proportions. Meals have been seemingly the same size since kindergarten. Whoever designs the outcomes of this food forget that people grow.

Teachers

Most of them are nice and reasonable. But many get away with bad behavior for their status.I've seen teachers disrespect teachers, say students can only go to the bathroom once a year(goodbye females! Just don't have periods,duh) and I have seen pure lack of care for student mental health.

Note for parents

Dear parents, you'll be happy to know that it's true that the school does barely anything to accommodate your children, special needs or not! When they come home crying theres a good reason. Awful kids are left on standby while mentally struggling kids are left on the doorstep. This school has many qualities, but not many points go to the individual care for your kids.we are forced to be here, make it worth while.

Unfortunately, this school is a product of this district. If you have a special needs child, this district is not for you. Have been lied to as the parent and my child manipulated beyond mere detriment in the district's goal not to provide warranted services - even qualify my very deserving autistic son of an IEP. How the people involved with Special Needs population can look at themselves in the mirror in this district is beyond me. Do not attend this district, period, if you have a special needs child. If so, keep your educational attorney on speed dial.

Over the ladt few years especially quality of education has sharply declined and disabled student services have all but disappeared. School said they were entitled to cut back due to, "Covid allowances".

This school has been an amazing place to spend 4 years in and that is not a common thing to say in high schools. The atmosphere is generally kind and the clubs, sports, activities, and VPAs there are to be involved in makes the experience awesome. Academic levels are high, with many many AP classes, and kids in the national merit scholar category every year.

I am a student at AGHS and am in 3 AP classes. The teachers are aware of the fact that everyone has an outside life and give homework accordingly. The only kids I know that
have too much homework are the ones that are choosing to take 5 plus AP classes. Overall, with an exception of a few outliers, the homework load is light to manageable.

The teachers at this school have been amazing in my time attending this school. Whenever there was a problem with my schoolwork, the teachers were there to help me out and went out of their way to make sure I succeeded. There is a Career Center that helped me and I know is helping others prepare for College and get tutoring.

As it looks like my previous comments regarding teachers at AGHS have disappeared (unless the site is just glitching), rather than reiterate everything I said previously, I'll just say, some teachers, if not the school itself, seem to have an agenda to push Christianity on the students. From the teaching of Creationism is Science classes to the Choir teachers' mandating the singing of Christian, and only Christian, songs during the holidays.

There needs to be some serious coordination between the teachers on homework. It's quite standard for one teacher to load their students down with homework which takes them until midnight to complete without regard to how much homework their other students might be giving out. This makes for a unreasonable situation and also makes it impossible for the kids to be able to interact with their families at all or have any other extracurricular activities. The reason the teachers do this is simply laziness. Some teachers don't teach at all but just sit and read then give the kids the lessons to take at home to do on their own.

I had two children go here. One it was the best thing ever. This student grew so much. The next one didn't connect with the other kids as much and it was meh for this one and I felt badly about that. OVERALL, I still think this school is the cats meow. GO EAGLES!

Our kids go to school to learn. The homework should be completed in school. After school should be a fun time for sports and the like not homework that takes many hours to complete.

The teachers are amazing and always ready to listen or help a student. It has a greatcampus as well.
