We love this school! The teachers are kind, supportive, and really care about the students. The staff is always helpful, and the school provides a safe and welcoming environment. My kids are learning and growing so much here. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a great school!

I have the pleasure of leaving a review for a school that has impacted my family greatly. A few years back our oldest child was soon starting kindergarten. Knowing how important a school can be in your community we chose to sell our beloved home in a very affluent NE fresno neighborhood and bought a home that fed into Maple Creek Elementary school. I believe it was one of the best choices we made as parents to our three kids. Our children have had opportunities beyond what they would have had at a larger less diverse school. They have been involved in robotics, multicultural events and clubs, so many sports, GATE, mentoring programs, oral interpretation, choir, leadership (each held positions every single year possible), cheerleading, volunteerism, the list goes on. You will not find a school with teachers who care about children and their families more than the teachers do at Maple Creek. The administration is incredibly stable and has an open door policy for any parent who inquires. The health office and office staff are very welcoming and kind. The parent involvement at this school is what you make of it. Do you want to be very involved? great—here you can be! The PTC welcomes all to help as they work hard to make the school a better place. This school is inclusive, diverse and dedicated to bettering the education and lives of children.
BEST kept secret at CUSD!

Such a positive atmosphere with high expectations on students to reach their potential in all areas. My daughter has soared and loves coming to school everyday. It is evident that administration, teachers, and support staff truly care about the students. Great job Huskies!

I have had three children (one currently) go through Maple Creek and have been pleased. My two older children were ready to deal with the rigors of junior high and high school because of the foundation created by Maple Creek. The teachers truly care about their students. They will give up their lunch, arrive earlier than they are supposed to, and stay late, even after coaching to help students with work. The teachers/staff are very loving towards students. They don't just care about grades or test scores, they care about the ACTUAL student. They have special ways of greeting students, they have conversations with students who are struggling with something at home (my son benefited from this), and they spend time on curriculum about having good character and being a productive part of society.
My children have learned so much from their coaches and co-curricular instructors. I LOVE that the coaches have a passion for their sport. My children have gone on to play sports at Kastner and Clovis West. My daughter participated in Leadership and choir and loved it.
I also must add that I NEVER worry about the safety of my children at Maple Creek. They are always accounting for their students and they seem to have safety drills every month and they communicate that to parents. They don't allow parents to just walk around campus mingling with other people/students as well.
I felt the need to write this because teachers/schools receive too many hateful, self-serving comments and not enough praise or recognition for ALL that they do. The leadership at Maple Creek trusts its teachers and staff to serve students. The aura on campus is positive and loving.

With every grade level my daughter goes through the teachers all seem to have an effective way to give out and collect homework. Whether it be to assign it on Monday and collect on Friday or day by day assignments, It all seems to workout for the best interest of the child.

Yes, absolutely. Just referring to their husky pride develops each character word listed up there.

I love it. It has been nothing but positive an we are only half way done!

You will end up teaching your children how to do all their school work.

Teachers here point out and target students to excuse their inability to direct and teach their classrooms. Terrible leaders.

Theu build character for the little boys in BMX and sports but anyone with a flaw is targeted despite attendance or grades. If you are different.. Beware

Most awful CUSD school I have ever delt with. I have been in CUSD for decades. Across rhe district. Maple creek is a clear example of bad leadership. Leadership that lacks grace, moral codes, standars, rules that apply to ALL students including the PTA students.. Personally I have high hopes every year a teacher will come along with grace and the courage to inspire their students. We have had luck one year with a new teacher who clearly wasn't poisned by maple creeks social heriarchy. They need to grow up wake up and realize their molds are outdated and rules are created for all. Wipe out their leadership and start over. They are hopeless and discriminating

We made complaint to school regarding someone bullying my daughter. The staff completely misdirected us in wrong direction and when we complained to administration then office staff with school authorities started harassing us on campus by following us everywhere. They donot like to hear complaints otherwise they will turn on you. Make sure before talking to them. Thanks

I had three children attend this school and you better expect homework 2, 3, 4 hours a night minimum. They always speak about the triangle (parents, teacher, student) but my wife ends up teaching them when they get home. That's how the triangle works. The teachers teach for the state test vs real education. You will be blackballed if you complain about anything. If your child needs help, don't bother asking because you won't find it. However, they are quick to ask for your money be it fundraising for God knows what and buying school supplies the school should provide. Don't worry they'll give you the list. If your impressed with state scores this is the school for you. Unfortunately they don't deliver.
