St. Anthony's Elementary School

We are a military family and feel so fortunate that we found this school. We have loved our time at St. Anthony's, our only regret is having to leave. St. Anthony's was our children's first experience in a structured academic environment and they loved it, always looking forward to returning following a break or vacation. We saw tremendous growth in our girls, academically, emotionally and socially. Each week beyond their classroom studies, they attended library, PE and gardening. Our girls came home echoing not only academic and religious teachings but lessons in inclusion, empathy, taking care of our world and the importance of watching out for your friends. These are values we have tried to impress in our home and it was so nice to have them reinforced at school. The communication from administrators to our beloved teacher Mrs. Miranda was consistent, transparent and informative. Dn. Henry made himself available to us anytime we asked and provided measured and valuable guidance. I can't say enough how much we liked it here and how prepared we feel our daughters are for their next school.

I absolutely love St. Antony's. We toured all the Catholic School's in Oxnard and my child actually came from another Catholic school that we did not have a good experience at. From day 1, I felt safe leaving my child there and years later I now have 2 at St. Anthony's and have never been disappointed in or doubted out decision! From the amazing leadership of the Principal and teachers, to the effectiveness of the strong PTO, to the amazing opportunities, activities, and field trips the students receive, it is all just worth it! I feel like my children are getting a truly excellent education guided by leaders who follow Christ in their teachings and the examples they set for our children.

The amount of homework is very reasonable and teachers are always available to answer questions via email.

Teachers at St. Anthony's are the best! They are engaging, friendly, stern when they have to be, great communicators and always serving in leadership. There seems to be a great camaraderie between them.

I love seeing how helpful the students are at St. Anthony's. Always holding doors open for others and always willing to help each other and others.

The leadership at this school is what I believe makes St. Anthony's so successful! Dn. Henry will listen and help you resolve whatever issue or question you may have. The teachers are all on the same page and work together for the success of the school as a whole. It really is Catholic leadership shown by an example of Jesus.

My son in his 1st year had difficulties making friends but the teachers worked with me and him to find ways to interact with his peers and classmates more effectively, 3 years later he is pretty advanced in some subjects so the teachers are always challenging him with work to suit his learning advances and needs. When he's needed help in a subject it's always been addressed. But I love that they're challenged to keep advancing even if they've reached the level they're supposed to be at and resources and materials are provided for them to succeed.

I had a small issue with this. I don't believe it was bullying but I brought it up to the principal and it was handled immediately. The principal, teacher, and students were quickly on the same page and the issue was resolved.
