We have loved Palma school. The teachers here are so supportive and have great intent for the young Men here. The sports are fabulous and parents are supportive and caring in the stands. Love it

Everything about this school is great except for the math education, youre telling me I being held back because of a placement test? And now I have to Learn new steps and I cant use the steps that I already know because the teacher will just give you an F because its not his? Thats pretty stupid.

Either way its a great school for friends but why do I need to learn different steps when the steps I know make more sense.

Save your money. This is not a college prep school AT ALL.
My son let me know how so many students are on the honor roll.
There is no honor there.

We are continually impressed with the team of faculty / staff and their ability to unite the Palma campus community. They have fostered a sense of support that allows us as parents and our son to improve our academic practices daily. My son feels connected through the Chess Club and the small group time in classes. The long hours and hard work make such a difference to ensure that learning and growth happens.

The teachers, administrators, office staff and counselors are amazing. They are always there to help the student and family. It is a safe campus which in these times is always calming for students and parents.

This is a laughable question as some of the leaders (coaches, staff, administrators) are the biggest bullies of all. On and off the field.
Coaches encouraging and/or condoning other players/students to bully the slower, larger, not-so-athletic players, belittling, playing games, manipulating and squashing dreams and destroying self esteem. If you want your student body to "deal with bullying effectively" you need to lead by example positively.

I have heard this has improved and you can PAY more money to get help, but when we were there for 6 years, this was NOT THE CASE. no support at all.

Leaders boost morale, they INSPIRE... they motivate, bring you up and lead by positive example. We did not experience this under the current administration, leadership or varsity football program.

On the outside it surly appears that this is what is happening.... but when the blinders or rose colored glasses come off and you REALLY look in... you begin to clearly see a culture of undesirable attitudes and egos.

some are effective and sincerely invested in your child's life and Palma is very lucky to have them (many talk about leaving every year because of the negativity occurring) and some are not effective and sadly need to be let go.

Not only was Palma a waste of time and money... it was sadly modeling less-than-desirable ethics and values and was a horrible experience for our son and our family.

Leaders boost morale, they bring people up... they lead by positive example... they INSPIRE! ...they do not tear down and destroy.

It's scary how much one coach, one teacher or one administrator can negatively impact a child.

Our son entered with hopes, dreams and a positive plan for the future... he left deflated and hating school.

If you have a child who is strong willed and thinks for himself...think LONG and HARD before deciding to enroll your son into this school.
