When I went there we had some good teachers who cared, but that was in the early 90s. In fact some of the best teachers I had up until college were from there. The worse thing was that there were so many children into gangs at the time, so there were large gang fights. Some of the teachers were too intimidated to intervene, so the kids acted like they had control. To succeed I had to be as invisible as possible and get lower grades than I was capable to better blend in. In some classes the teachers graded on a bell curve so that most children would pass. Hopefully it has improved. I know that they were starting to test uniforms and not allow colors or sports wear when I was leaving the school.

i believe fort miller is the best middle school. cant say its better than computec but its 2nd best to computec. mrs. buckman and the whole staff really push us students to do our very best in preparing ourselves for high school.even though i may be a 7th grader who doesn't know very much yet since were in the second quarter but i do know this is the best because of how safe and secure the school it is.fort miller gives us students a great opportunity to volunteer in the community, reward us for how hard we work, and to see colleges and universities in California that we may attend in the future.

Fort Miller has wonderful teachers who really care about their students. The security here is excelent, though there are still a few major fights. There is a strict no tolerance policy. The curriculum is presented in a way to push students to the next level. Fort Miller is all about being proud to be who you are and there we focus on high school readiness. Mrs. Buckman, the principal, is very commited to her job and loves her students. Every student knows that when they're in Falcon Country they're safe, secure, and have a lot of support. Go Falcons!! - Submitted by a current student
