Choosing Montessori Center School four our girls has been the best decision we have made as parents, hands down. The teachers are truly gifted in their ability to nurture, engage and inspire children. They have been an invaluable sounding board and support system for our family throughout the years. Our children are cared for as whole children, with individual needs academically, socially and emotionally... There is no greater gift! At ages three and six years old, our girls are curious learners, independent and self assured, all qualities that have been fostered at Montessori Center School. We are forever grateful!

Our family has been part of the Montessori Center School community for five years. Both of my children started at the school at the Pre-Primary level (ages 18 months to 3 years). One of my children is in Kindergarten and the other is now in the second grade. The school serves children up to the sixth grade. This timeframe is such a delicate and special moment in a child's life and we are so grateful that they are in a nurturing environment that encourages independence, respect for others, and a love of learning. We are so grateful to the faculty and staff who are dedicated and committed to honoring the individuality of each student. We can feel the love and the care and our children love going to school.

We absolutely love our experience at MCS - we've had nothing but outstanding teachers that are dedicated to the kids' development as individuals and are making learning and exploring their creativity fun. We were a little nervous about entering a private school and the sense of entitlement that can come with that but the community has been nothing but welcoming, down to earth and we've made great friends among the students and parents alike.

The school has also done an outstanding job at pivoting to online classes during COVID and have acted quickly to put the necessary measures and protocols in place to open quickly and safely, so the kids would not miss out on the important parts of their academic and social education in these times.

We highly recommend MCS for any parents that believe in a child-led education that creates strong, independent thinkers that are curious, kind and can handle many situations thrown at them.

I have two children in the school who are very different people. The school, through its faculty, and the students have brought out the best in our children in different ways that are unique to each child. It is great to see how thoughtful the school is and how our children have benefitted.

I have told so many people that one of the best/luckiest decisions my wife and I ever made for our kids was enrolling them at MCS when they were 22 months old. They are now in their 8th year at MCS and we give MCS a tremendous amount of credit for their educational, emotional, and social development.

I am a local high school teacher. The students I get from this school are always amazing. Their content foundation is solid, interpersonal skills are highly developed, and they have a deep love for learning. When it came time to pick a school for my own children, this was a clear place to start looking. When I got to campus I was blown away by the qualified staff, materials, and positive "can do" culture. Over the years my children have thrived, loving to go to school everyday. I think what makes this school stand out is that it truly brings out the best in each and every child.

I have a 2 year old and 4 year old and am amazed at what they are exposed to within the classroom and how much they are learning. I appreciate the high level of individual care and the quality of education that my children receive within a nurturing environment. Additionally, I feel a strong sense of community at MCS. People genuinely care about each other and are very supportive. I love MCS!

Even though our teacher is not a native English speaker, she has been teaching Montessori for 30+ years and is an expert. Children love her and are reading from a young age - more than other schools I have seen, especially since she used to teach toddler aged children and they used to read very well. I love Montessori, the greatest world leaders and CEO's have Montessori backgrounds.

I cannot say enough good things about this school. It is a second home to my two boys. They both started at the school since they were 18 months old and have thrived under Montessori philosophy. All the teachers are exceptionally professional, caring and sensitive to the needs of the kids. Additionally, the community of parents is amazing. I love this school and would encourage everyone to take a tour of this beautiful place.

Montessori isn't about homework but everyone knows that you can't avoid it these days. The homework that our children are given aren't just repetition assignments. They're given options of doing new work, experiments and ways to observe the real world that is then shared in class.

I wasn't educated in a Montessori environment but after seeing how my children thrive at Montessori Center School I wish that I had been. They are allowed the freedom to explore a wide range of topics and materials all with the goal of providing a solid education to the child. They truly inspire a love of learning in the child.

We are so happy at MCS! The teachers are top notch and really love what they do! The children learn to respect others and interact with children of all ages. Geography, world cultures and the sciences are begun at such an early age that it helps ignite a love of learning. Also, math is taught in such a way that the children can understand the concepts behind it. This will be our sixth year at MCS for our boys and we are very grateful we found such a wonderful school which has both a nurturing and challenging environment.

Hands down the BEST school in SB! My daughter is in Navy Door and the teachers in her class and extra curricular classes are fantastic! This school is a real example of education excellence. I highly recommend MCS!

I am so glad we found this school for our daughter who has now done about 6 months in pre-primary and 1 academic year in primary. The teachers are the heart of the school and they put a ton of effort into knowing every kid and their needs. The kids are known not just by their own teachers, but by all the teachers. Instruction is individualized and true to the Montessori method of following the child's interests (with some teacher prompting in the right direction of course). Kids, parents and administration staff are wonderful. The campus is beautiful, stimulating and safe with great classroom set up and inviting outdoor spaces. We feel we are getting our money's worth and more with this wonderful learning and life experience for our young daughter. All the classrooms are known by the color of the door. We are in Blue Door and thrilled. Quality seems very consistent across all the classrooms. Thank you, MCS!

My son has been at MCS going on 4 years. He is in the Lower Elementary program at the school (1st-3rd grade) and my husband and I honestly couldn't be happier. He is so academically prepared and loves going to school every single day! The teaching staff is so experienced and well trained. The individualized learning and Montessori approach really does work. Outside of the academics I love that there is such a strong emphasis placed on emotional development. The teachers work with children on social skills and modeling peaceful ways of communicating. I so appreciate that he is an environment where he feels safe, heard and respected. The Montessori hands on materials the children get to work with are amazing! They truly seem to make learning fun and exciting. I also like the multi-age aspect. There is so much inner mentoring going on in the classrooms. We really do love Montessori Center and would urge anyone to check out this school for their child.

Both of my kids are in this school this year and up until now I'm comparing it to our previous school experience. First, my oldest kid teacher is a non-native speaker. She's nice and kind, but I would hire as a music teacher not primary one. I don't see how my child will improve his/her English like that. This is still ok with me, but the fact that my kid is a 3rd grader combined with first and second graders is way bad. Some of the younger ones can't even read on their own so the whole teacher focus is mostly on them, what am I paying for then??!! My other child which is in primary didn't have this problem as she's in the youngest level. However, the situation is reversed here. The teacher expects her to do everything on her own and keeps complaining to me that I should teach her that at home. Again, my question is why am I then paying ?!!! I've heard good things about the school from parents who are not working, so here is how I see it. The school is great for parents who are not busy, meaning willing to volunteer and be in school at least 5 hours/week . So it's more fun for parents to go to than for those who want to see their kids learning new stuff.

My daughter recently graduated from Montessori Center School and was so well prepared for Jr. High she received high marks in all of her honors classes. Academics were only part of the success; she learned how to learn, be independent, how to care very deeply about others and her community, how to enjoy music, dance, and sports, and I could go on and on. She felt a great connection to all her teachers and they took a personal interest in my daughter's success. The school grounds are beautiful and inviting. The classrooms are filled with engaging materials.
