Vca and first baptist church only allow good reviews yo stay up. Is that very Christian?
Send your kids anywhere but here. I have been trying to speak my truth and they keep deleting and blocking me. Still a great school among other schools in santa maria area. If the good teachers stay for long time that would get a extra credit to the school.

I have had children at this school for the past 10 years. I do not understand what the previous reviewer is talking about when stating the school the lacks understanding diversity? The school's student population is quite diverse across the board, which to me is quite surprising for a small non - public school. If they are expecting ESL classes or to be treated differently because of their "diverse" background, it isn't going to happen their. The school's foundation and core are based on biblical Christian principles and that is clear when you enroll your children. If you want exposure to worldly views and accepted norms, then VCA isn't the best place for your child. They aren't going to tell your kid being homosexual is okay, when their biblical beliefs and practices don't support that.

This school shows no respect and understanding to diversity. What I had experienced is unbelievably arrogant prejudices and irresponsibilities.

Only the highest regards can be given to Valley Christian Academy. Its dedicated faculty and strong academic standards are exceptional in every sense. Though smaller in size, VCA is large in student preparation--students are well-equipped spiritually, academically, and socially. I speak from 15 years association with the school, and I can highly recommend this preschool through 12th grade academy for complete, affordable full-family education.

I am a graduate AND a parent of a current student AND a mother of graduates. VCA prepared me for academic success in college, and in the intervening years between my being a student and my children becoming students, VCA improved even more. My children received more in their education - variety of classes, AP course offerings, more electives, more athletic opportunities - than did I, by virtue of the fact that many of these opportunities simply did not exist back in my day. One of my children made it into a school voted #1 in the nation, where nearly 14,000 applied and only 1,249 were admitted. This is a direct result of the educational quality that VCA offers. And he is now succeeding in this academically rigorous school. I really can't imagine why the other poster was complaining about the lowering of standards. VCA has high standards in every area, and I've been closely affiliated with the school for many years. Bottom line - VCA is a great school with a wonderful, caring, self-sacrificing staff. If VCA can prepare my son well enough to be accepted into a top national school, that speaks volumes.

VCA used to be a school with high standards and Godly people. Rules were enforced and the staff led Godly lives. In the recent years, it has slipped dramatically. The rules are not enforced and some of the staff lead lives that the administration is not aware of. The special ed program is not special ed at all. Things are going on there that are swept under the rug in hopes that no one finds out.

Ive been going to VCA for 6 years. It is a very excellent school. The classes are not boring but the reason kids say its boring is because they are not interested and they do not listen. It is strict with the dress codes but I do not mind. The teachers are very excellent. They are always there for u to help you. The curriculum is challenging. And homework for is at least an hour but I do not mind. The school campus is safe and clean. The school is a very great leader and can lead you to the right direction.

VCA thumbs up!!!! My kids have been going to VCA for the past 4 years (transfer from PCC). Both schools are great. Great interaction with the students and parents.... but knowing what I know, not to mention any schools... but there's a lot of politics involved... now, Here's a question, why would a school charge (every year) for a earthquake kit when they are supposed to last 5 years - 10 years? what happens to them every year that they need to be purchased every year?.... that's a lot of earthquake kits that would probably be enough for everyone in a 2 mile radius. But anyways.... we left PCC because it seemed that a teacher had felt that homework was not necesary and (i quote) " well if you feel your child is not learning enough maybe you should give them more work" And I'm why am I paying you? !
