My daughter had the most wonderful experience at Lyons elementary (k- 5th grade). She just left as she started 6th this year. The teachers are all incredible, and so dedicated. Most have been teaching there for decades. Loved the place based learning opportunities- they spend a lot of time at the creek. Amazing social-emotional development too. Principal is the absolute best. 10/10 recommend.

Our daughter attended from Kindergarten through 5th Grade, and we felt grateful she was part of the LES community that whole time. It's truly a special place, where each kid gets to be their unique self, yet also feel like they are part of something bigger. The teachers are caring and capable, and the small classes mean more individual attention for each student. Principal Moore is basically the elementary school principal you'd create from clay if you could... energetic, empathetic, and actively engaged each day in trying to make the school even better. I truly have "no notes" for the team at LES. They are getting it right.

Lyons Elementary is the best! The principal is connected to each student and supports the highly skilled teachers and staff in giving individualized attention to their needs. Many of the staff members are also community members making the experience feel more like a village than an institution each day. Our children excelled in this environment, exploring new interests, and getting valuable guidance in shaping their social and emotional skills as they grew.

Truly a school on the Highest tier, with dedicated impassioned leaders and teachers. Fantastic community with families who regularly and actively participate and engage in school success. Stellar STEM program. My kids were nurtured and supported in every way attending school here and learned social and emotional skills from Lyons Elementary that will be steady tools in their toolbox of life. I feel so lucky my kids were able to attend school here and highly highly recommend. It is truly a wonderful school.

It's a wonderful school led by a fantastic principal. The teachers I've seen have all been great, including the best teacher I've ever had the joy to see in action, and I've worked or volunteered in many schools.

If you are lucky enough to call Lyons home and have children that attend Lyons Elementary, then you know. You know the support and the caring environment goes beyond the classroom. Many of our teachers and staff live in Lyons and provide a safety net and familiarity for our kids like no other community Ive lived in. The staff is warm and inviting and the parents are equally inclusive and friendly, so friendly!! Our school piloted an Outdoor Science and Leadership program that provides real data and research on the biodiversity of the St. Vrain River to local agencies and scientists. The Lyons Elementary School PTO has over $80K budgeted each year to help supplement and enrich programming at the school. Volunteerism runs deep and strong and there are always opportunities to become more involved should you want to. The arts and music programs have had new life breathed into them and are thriving. LES is a beautiful community school!

Principal and grade-level teachers: GREAT! Art, music and after-school programs/child care organizer: TERRIBLE to the point of bullying/abuse. We have pulled our children out. A travesty in this beautiful community of artists and musicians!

This is a wonderful school with a great sense of community. All of teachers at each grade level are excellent. The new principal this year has been awesome, and the parent involvement here is very welcoming.
