So many things that this school is lacking in. If your child has any special needs, this school is not the place for them. They are understaffed and underfunded so they don't have the support for kids that need extra help.
The class sizes in lower grades are too big with very little attention paid to the students, so they struggle. (I can only attest to lower grades).
Punishment is terrible. Some teachers will suspend * kindergarten* students for the most ridiculous things while other teachers will make students run laps for not listening. While I agree that there needs to be consequences, ruining children's relationships with exercise is not the way to do it.
Teachers are petty and are there to support each other more than their students.
Lack of communication from every adult in the school is massive! Do not expect to hear if your child is being bullied, struggling or having any issues at school until it's too late.
This is a K-8 so be prepared for your young kids to learn some pretty terrible things from the older kids as the teachers don't care about them cussing, yelling, acting out at school, even in front of the youngest kids.
If your child goes to this school, teach them to stand up for themselves and make sure you're ready to advocate for them! However I would never recommend this school to anyone. If there is any other option, go there!

My 8-year-old son this evening had an extreme panic attack because he is so afraid to go back to this school because of the consistent bullying. The counselors, the teachers nobody does anything and he is terrified to go back. Claims to have been punched in the heart yesterday by another boy and the teacher told him to quit whining about it. This school is a joke. Please do not put your kids in danger, listen to your kids!

They have some very caring teachers. Unfortunately there's only so much teachers can do when kids show up to school with a terrible home life and no concept of respect. They have too many students with "additional needs" and not enough staff support. My child was being bullied and I didn't find out until later. One Kindergartener was walking in the halls saying "F*** you to random people walking by. Kids were running out of the classroom, not paying attention to the teacher at all, and being rude. There's fighting, bad attitudes, and everyone is in a state of survival. I wish I never put my kids in this school even for one day.

When I went to this school, I was greeted by the most horrible students Ive ever met. Racial slurs, derogatory remarks and bullying is an everyday occurrence there and the teachers dont even care. Students at this school are genuinely terrible, the staff is alright, they just dont care about their students. Teachers cuss all the time, making it an unsafe work environment, not to mention how theres a fight every other week. If youre moving to Loveland, go to Bill Reed instead of this school, because Bill Reed has more respectful students with less bullying happening. Overall, Conrad Ball Middle School was the worst experience of my life and it really diminished my mental health.

I have never felt so accepted at a school. I wish my own experience in school was like this. My older daughter went here years and years ago and her experience was also not like this. Administration, office staff, teachers, counselors and of course children have changed but all for the positive.

I have only had one instance where I felt I needed to call the school. The problem was taken care of immediately. And my children learned how they can help when seeing bullying going on. They also learned the importance of letting someone know that there is a problem.

I'm proud to tell people that our three middle schoolers attend Conrad Ball Middle School. This institution has been an excellent environment for our now 8th graders to grow, be challenged, and be given tools to help them achieve while also supporting and encouraging their classmates. We are seeing the same pattern in our 6th grader. From the administration to the teachers to support staff - it's clear that they care deeply for each learner and in supporting them at the level they are at and guiding them in setting realistic education goals so they success through their challenges. One of our 8th graders attends nearly 1/2 his day in the ILC program and we can't more grateful for this specialized group of educators who see all the potential and aren't swayed by individual struggles, instead they recognize strengths and build on them, as a parent this is huge. I know he's in the best hands to help him reach his potential and prepare him for H.S.
We will be sad when our 8th graders move to MVHS next year but we know they will go having learned not just your standard academic reqs, but also a deep understanding and appreciation for the value of and the potential of every person. Well done CBMS, grateful we still got one in for 2 more years.

This school has helped kids become better humans. They are supportive of kids and really help all students. The school has a large population of tough kids and they do whatever they can to help them learn. All schools have mean kids and this school really does help when they know.

My child is gay and wasnt out yet. Kids picked on my kid calling out awful derogatory slang words about homosexuality. My kid didnt feel safe and was suicidal. We left the school, didnt even finish out the school year. My kid is now out and proud and feels safe. I want to also add Staff did nothing to protect my kid.

Conrad Ball has really great teachers. My teachers meet my learning needs. They challenge us and push us to be better and help us with school work. There is a positive feeling in the building. Mr. Popp is the bomb! The great PTO has great ideas to make the school better in every way.

We have had many differing opinions about Conrad Ball with many friends and neighbors. The majority of those opinions have been very positive, especially from those parents who have kids at the school. We decided to have our oldest attend Conrad Ball and have been very pleased with his progress and development. His teachers are wonderful! He loves going to school and feels like his teachers challenge him to be better and do better in all his school work and personal development. The administration is remarkable at Conrad Ball. I have had personal experience with the administration as they worked through challenging obstacles with amazing success and results. We are very thankful our son attends this school.

We have had a student at Conrad Ball for two years. We love that it offers a "real world" experience with kids from all different backgrounds. We've seen student be inclusive and respectful to kids with special needs. We've seen staff customize curriculum to challenge gifted students. We've been greatful for a principal that has listened to the current challenges of students and offer programs and events to meet those needs. Conrad Ball is one of Loveland's best kept secrets!

Through the PLUS program kids are given lesson to help them understand how to behave. Unfortunately in the world we live in, not all parents are teaching their kids about how to deal with social media, how to put your phone down and go to bed at a reasonable hour, how to handle friend issues, etc. and these things are being taught to all kids at CBMS through PLUS. It is a great program!!!

The principal and assistant principal have always been responsive to issues within a reasonable amount of time. They are both open to ideas and willing to try new things to do what is best for kids. Super friendly and I always see them before and after school laughing and talking with students and families!

My kids have both had a very positive experience at CBMS. The teachers have encouraged my kids to be leaders, and in fact, have given them the tools through the PLUS program to be leaders and to be good humans. The teachers have helped my kids grow in their studies, and have helped them develop into deep thinkers. The teachers make learning fun, but also allow the kids to be have a hands on approach to their own learning. The school offers many clubs and activities for students to be involved in.

We moved to Loveland for a raise. I talked to our daughter and built up Loveland and Conrad Ball. She was full of hope to make new friends and have a great year. Where we used to live she was very happy and well adjusted, but we needed the pay raise, so we moved. She was all smiles the first day of school. I was so proud of her. I knew it wasn't easy to start fresh at a new school, but Loveland seemed like a nice town. We where wrong! This school crushed my daughter! She came in a happy child and left suicidal. I talked to the teachers and Vice/Principal and I was brushed off and told it was normal for this age. NO it is not! It isn't normal and you do not know MY child! My daughter was bullied everyday and had her things stolen often. She would come home and cry everyday. I am so angry ! I would take it all back if I could. We would down size and make due, but it is to late. My daughter is in therapy and we have pulled her from the school. I am homeschooling her and am very scared to try another school in Loveland. I just want my happy girl back. I am focusing on helping her get better at this point and am not even considering another school.

(I am actually a student) I think we are given the perfect amount of homework. Our homework assignments are all based on the things we do and learn in class, so it's not too hard and it's not too easy. I feel very frustrated with all the hateful comments, because some people just go off of what people say, and not evidence. Ask anyone in the halls at Con Ball, homework is an easy useful activity.

We moved to Loveland about 2 years ago. My son went to Conrad ball the first year. I will have to say we where in shock when he started school here. Loveland seemed like a nice small town, but the school was like being in an inner city school. My son had his phone stolen, all his supplies stolen 2 times, emotionally and physically bullied on a daily basis, and paired with a bully to share a locker with. I asked for him to switch lockers but, it just made it worse for him, because I singled him out more. I asked for them to look at their cameras to see if they could find out who was steeling from him, but I was told they can not go through all the footage. He came home with marks on him, my son would not tell me who did it. He was to scared. The staff and teachers never where helpful and I would have to say made things worse. We felt backed into a corner and alone. I can not imagine the daily horror my son faced everyday. I failed him as a parent for sending him to Conrad Ball. Thank God we where renting! We moved as soon as our lease was up!! He is now going to Lucile Erwin and is very happy.

At Conrad ball, everyone's equal. No one person is better than the other. Our teachers are the best out of all middle schools because unlike most other teachers, they go above and beyond to create fun and interactive ways for us to learn. Most people hate school, but going here I don't think it's possible to not want to go to school. We have people who are successful out side of being a teacher. For example, one of the best( though I like all of them) teachers at the school, Brandon Harrington ( Mr. Harrington) owns a arts academy and is famous for hosting a haunted house every year. And our band constructer was in a band for about 8 years, and he toured the country and is well known for his amazing skills in percussion. Conrad ball is home of all middle schools pride and joy, the Thunder birds. And during the process of hatching, learning how to fly, and preparing to leave the nest I have realized how honered I am to be a thunderbird. So a big thanks to our principal Mrs. Millar, our assistant principal Mrs. Peebles, officer Ben, Mr. Dubas, and all of the other amazing staff members. We love you all!!! T-Birds............SOAR!!!!!

CBMS has been a fantastic middle school for my three children. The building is filled with a great mix of new and experienced teachers who are there for all the right reasons -- the kids. I'm impressed with the school's diverse student body and how CBMS staff designs learning strategies to address the various student needs. CBMS is a great school because of the great teachers and leadership. I really feel like my entire family is part of the T-Bird community.

We moved into the Conrad Ball Middle School area a few months ago. My child was very nervous about starting a new school but received such a warm welcome that she was put her at ease right away. She was greeted by the counselor and a schedule was put together that included my daughter's input. She was excited about the elective choices. She talks often about what is going on in her classes and enjoys the projects that are assigned.

The staff and administration have really gone out of their way to help my student be successful in the classroom. I have two children that have attended Conrad Ball Middle School. One child is now in 7th grade and my other child is now in the High school level. Conrad Ball has been a huge reason why my children have been successful at such a young age. The support, care, professionalism and educators at Conrad Ball are the reasons why my children have learn to love being educated and understand how important education is. The teachers and support system that Conrad Ball is awesome. My children were always comfortable and not afraid to talk to the staff concerning there needs in a specific subject. It was always an open door policy for my children and for myself as a parent. Tiffany Miller who is the principal at Conrad Ball is very professional and is very passionate about making sure our children are getting the right education. Miss. Miller is also making sure her teachers and providing the correct materials and resources so that our children are able to become successful. Miss. Miller displays a positive attitude to all the children that attend Conrad Ball. She is always open to new ideas, and cares about the needs of our children.

My son is a type one diabetic; all the teachers and staff where told and given paper work at the start of the year. The paper work states what to do and how to address his needs if an issue comes up. My son felt real low in class, he asked to leave to go to the nurse. The teacher didn't feel it was a medical emergency, told him to wait until after class! My son went to the nurse during passing period, his blood sugar was at a 49! normal is between 70-100. My son was at risk of passing out, or worse. The school just did a generic apology and told me they where never informed! That is a bold face lie! We trust our children in their care. I am scared to send him to school every day now.

I am in 100% agreement with the parent who posted prior to me! I am completely and utterly disappointed with this school!! I should have went with my gut and tried to get my child into another school in Loveland. I figured I would give it a shot and see how things went and that has been the biggest mistake I have made as a parent. Academically my child is not even close to being challenged and the teachers do not update the parent portal so I am constantly getting message stating my child has a failing grade only to find out the grade just has not been posted. My child is also having difficulties with other students and the school said they would get involved, well they made it 10 times worse, do not believe my child and do not actually listen to me. Honestly if my kid was older I would just let he/she go onto Colorado Connections Academy and do the online thing. Both my husband and I work so there goes that option for the time being. UGH, I really wish I never moved into Thompson School District!!!

I'm pulling my student from this school ASAP! I recently hear from my son that he's getting bullied by a teacher, his whole class is. I read the reviews over the summer and had a bad feeling from the beginning! My son refuses to get out of bed in the morning because he hates this school. He asked to be transferred to another school but everywhere is full for 6th graders. Have I spoke to the school about this issue, No! I dont want my child to be singled out and make things worse.

I'm reading these reviews for the first time and I'm shocked. Conrad Ball is not full of bullies and mean teachers. I have a college student who went to ConBall, and I currently have an 8th and a 6th grader at the school. I'm very involved at all of the schools my kids attend/have attended, K-12, in the classrooms and in parent volunteer groups/organizations. I've seen ConBall through a couple of principals (some I was glad to see go!), and I can honestly say that the students are blessed to be under the guidance of the current administration. Conrad Ball has recently won some prestigious awards, including the most recent Innovation Grant, an honor bestowed on only 7 schools in the country. Do some real research when deciding on where to send your children to learn. Visit the school, talk to the parents who are truly involved. Schools are schools and they all have some problems, but Conrad Ball is a safe, innovative school, and it's the only place I'd send my kids!

I dont think the teachers, counslors, nor principals really care. When a child is struggling with their grades, pick up the phone with your concerns. I did as a parent, but we still don't feel that teachers, counselors, nor the principals care enough to make that initiative call or conference a meeting. This school also uses a lot of student (interns) teachers. A LOT!

This is a horrible school never send your children here. Although some teachers are very polite, most are unprofessional and rude. They never do anything about bullying. There "motto" is no place for hate, well my daughter is a hispanic and even teachers dont like her because of that. there is also many fight that happen there.

My daughter started her 8th Grade after moving from several schools and states. Her experience with the students at Conrad Ball has been very negative and my interactions with the staff have been unprofessional and distant. She has only attended 4 months and we are glad that she will only spent a year here. We have a plan to remove her if she is met with more bullying. She is a very sociable and bright child that is now not enjoying school for the first time. The kids are mean and bullying is tolerated and bad behavior is accepted. My daughter has had a few very positive experiences based solely on a couple of exceptional teachers.

Staff and faculty need constant reminders of medical conditions ( even serious ones) and educational needs. They say they read I.E.P but, fail to meet even the basic reqirements on it. You have to always stay on top of things in this school or your child will fall through the cracks. You are treated like a bother for making sure your childs I.E.P is met.They will never admit to any wrong doing and turn it onto the parent. This school by far has been the worst school for my child who has unique learning needs and also has medical issues. I have talked to other parents and I am not the only parent who has gone through this. Children should have to struggle this bad in a learning environment.

All interactions I have had with Conrad Ball have turned out positive. Things will not always be 100% excellent, however I do know the staff and administration at this school go above and beyond what is expected of them. If there is an issue to be dealt with- large or small- there will always be someone there to help find a solution. Staff are prompt to reply and very open to helping ALL students no matter the situation. I would have no qualms in sending a child to this school- I know they would be fed (even if they didn't have lunch money), cared for (even if they were having an "off day"), and acquired new knowledge of some kind throughout the day. With everything that goes on in a student's life, the staff at Con Ball do an amazing job of meeting the student where they are and working up. Keep up the superb work T-Birds!

I have a 6th grader and an 8th grader at Conrad Ball, and we have been continually impressed by the staff at this school. Yesterday, for example, I emailed the principal with a question, and by the end of the day, two of my son's teachers had personally contacted me to be certain my son had everything he needed to succeed in their classes. We have observed this level of dedication from every teacher and staff member with whom we have interacted at CBMS. In addition to academics, CBMS offers a full roster of extra-curricular activities, clubs, and sports, and the teachers who facilitate these groups are nothing short of outstanding. Further, Mr. Elias, who took the job as principal last year, has done a phenomenal job of ascertaining student needs are met by making changes to the bell schedule, grade-level teams, etc. He isn't afraid to challenge the status quo and continually makes improvements to best address the needs of the students. I cannot say enough about how pleased we are with CBMS.

My sons have thrived at Conrad Ball Middle School. The teachers are very responsive to e-mails, phone calls and visits when there were any concerns. My oldest, now in high school, in 8th grade found his own motivation and talents through the team of teachers that worked with him. He came home with an "F" on his first science lab, but with the support of the teachers and communication with us, he was able to work very hard and "find his own talents" and by end his 8th grade year with 1 B and the rest A's! He is now in the Gifted and Talented Program and enjoying the Pre-AP classes he is now in. We don't think he would have been identified as Gifted and in Pre-AP WITHOUT the teachers and administration at Conrad Ball Middle School! Wonderful School without any doubts!

Conrad Ball is a wonderful school with caring teachers and staff. My child was very shy and after sharing that with his teachers, they went out of their way to encourage him and he became an outgoing young man who carried that through high school and into college.

I'd like to share how deeply I appreciate the staff at Conrad Ball Middle School. I've been so impressed by the level of professionalism and compassion that I've witnessed and experienced, and my child feels truly cared for. They go above and beyond what their job requires. ConBall is a great school!
