Best school that I ever went to. My previous school was a living hell, what an upgrade. The teachers are so supportive, and I’ve actually wanted to go to school.

Sad excuse for a school. I was a student here, and I was struggling. I needed additional support and instead I was met with constant judgement and criticism by the administrators and the teachers. Eventually, going to this school made me extremely depressed and anxious. It got so bad that I eventually stopped going. Instead of reaching out to try and help they unenrolled me from school without notice to my parent. Instead I was written off as a problem/menace they were happy to be rid of. The staff that worked there should really be ashamed of themselves. As an Educator it is our duty to treat every child with respect and support their needs to help them be successful. This "problem child" has received a Bachelor's in education and is working on their Masters. One good thing came out of it I suppose, my drive to create an inclusive, respectful community of learning. Take a minute to evaluate yourself, are you really helping these children. "Problem" behaviors often indicate that something is significantly wrong in a child's life, not that they are a bad person.

Terrible. Fort Collins HS courses are not demanding enough and most AP courses are canceled because of inadequate enrollment. Teachers are not properly prepared to teach their courses. The teachers are union members and it is almost impossible to fire the POOR teachers.

I had an incredible high school experience at FCHS! My freshman year of high school I attended another school in Poudre School District where I felt I didn't belong. At FCHS, the racial demographics and household incomes are much more similar to those in the Fort Collins community making me feel more at home and appreciated. I graduated with a 3.98 and had taken as many AP classes as I could manage each year with amazing teachers who helped prepare me for both the AP test and college. There are so many ways to get involved and practice leadership at this school whether it be through sports, clubs, and/or societies. I am currently working on my degree to become an educator, and if I were given the opportunity to work at FCHS, I would be more than thrilled! It's a school of tradition that promotes innovation and excellence. Once a Lambkin, Always a Lambkin.

My kids are juniors at Fort Collins High School. We have been very impressed with the quality of teachers FCHS. Of all the teachers my kids have had, I would only give a couple of them 3 out of 5 stars. All the others are 4 or 5 star teachers. The scores kids receive on AP exams at the school are excellent. This is from a parent's perspective, but I sense that the student body seems to embrace the diversity of this school. Kids seems to be supportive of others who participate in different activities or are in different groups than themselves.

My son has been at FCHS for two years and we love it! I have been impressed by the enthusiasm and dedication of his teachers, throughout all departments. From Pre-AP English, Math and Science to Spanish and AP Social Studies classes, his teachers have been outstanding. The administration is dedicated to looking proactively at both academics and school culture to determine what they are doing well, and how to keep improving. The administration is welcoming and open. I was worried my son might get "lost in the shuffle", but instead, he has found a wonderful peer group, both in his classes, extra curricular clubs and participation in a sports team. I highly recommend Fort Collins High School to other parents seeking an excellent education (they offer the most AP classes in town) with a great school culture for their children.

If you are new to Fort Collins as I was recently it is hard to know how to make the best educational decision for your beautiful kids especially for High Schools. We chose Fort Collins High and unless your kids go there you would not know the statistics of how many choice in and its a lot...they choice in because the teachers are amazing. If your kids are achieving academically they will get top-notch attention from the teachers (staff). I can call or email and I will be in complete contact within minutes with teachers. They will invite me/my kid to see them frequently the same day. The teachers always make room to tutor mornings, off periods or after school. My kids are in the AP curriculum and I/we cannot say enough great things....you will not regret deciding on Fort Collins High. The Principal, Asst. Principals, counseling all work hand in hand with you should you have questions. They want to make your child exceed...the "lack" of a waiting list to get in FCHS WORKS to your child's FAVOR. It is crazy how "certain" schools are getting the "wow" factor because they look so shiny and new. If you only knew how many kid come to Collins for the "quality" of education.

A joke. Recent events have just highlighted the lack of leadership at FCHS. Collins was an amazing school -- but the decline in enrollment, lack of academics and poor morale has lead this once fine school into decline.

A prestigious school with great staff, large diversity, a lot of acceptance, and many after school clubs. Great academics and music program! Superior in theater productions, and sporting a huge auditorium. Students have s lot of school spirit, especially during pep rallies and assemblies. I am proud to be a Lambkin! It really is the Home of the Champions! Go Clyde!

Fort Collins Highs School is the most chaotic and indifferent school I've ever been affiliated with. The communication between teachers and administrators is abysmal, there is a significant lack of structure and discipline of students, and inconsistent academic standards. AP students receive a lot of attention while ESL and special needs kids fall under the radar.
