Overall, our teen has had a great experience at Rocky. I think freshman, and sophomore years were a little tougher. But the teachers seem quite engaged and fun. I really recommend the clubs, and the debate team coach is excellent. The school counselor is very responsive and attentive. Overall, we’ve been happy and so has our kid.

The school and teachers are overall great, but the deans need to do better. My child has been bullied and harassed by another kid and no adult who is supposed to help kids in a situation such as bullying has actually done their job to help. I'm not sure if it's because of the other kid being a favorite or something but nothing has been done to fix this issue. Clearly, the deans, especially the newer ones, need to do some training to handle situations like this better.

I thought the rating for equity on this school was WAY off. Rocky has one of the best, most-inclusive cultures in the city. This school and it's principal go out of their way to establish a culture of fun school spirit, teamwork and a real sense of togetherness. The school is part of one of the best school districts in the state. Lots of support for well-being and mental health have been added over the pat few years. The teaching staff is friendly, supportive and really try to communicate and engage with parents on many levels.

This high school is one of the smaller ones on town (2,000 students) but the school pride here is really strong, which starts with reaching out to the middle schools that feed into the high school with a field trip day to the high school in late spring. Mentors are paired with the 8th graders so they have an older peer to connect with and ask questions to so they can transition easier. Regular school assemblies, fun spirit weeks and a collective feeling of "we're in this together" approach really create a bond between the staff and students.

My son missed his freshman year in-person due to the pandemic but the school still found ways to welcome all the 9th graders and keep them connected with drive-thru welcome trains, in-person support for students that just needed that format to learn best, learning cohorts and more. Lots of students in this town vie to go to this high school but often, there are not many spots available for opting into the school from other neighborhoods because all of the neighborhood kids don't stray to other schools often.

As a student graduated from Rocky I could not compare the enrichment I experienced. Out of all surrounding poudre school district high schools rocky hands down the best school you can send your child. Rocky is top of school of choice for many parents/students outside of rockys neighborhoods. Students are only required the balance 4 classes a semester. Allowing your child to truly learn and immerse themselves into their studies. Many students requesting rocky as their school are turned away. So being within rocky’s “neighborhoods”
Will not only guaranteed your child a seat within rockys walls as well as a great educational experience. Rockys accepting walls greet kids for all backgrounds, race, creed and religion are welcomed. Plus an amazing disabled student acceptances.

My youngest was constantly bullied to the point he ended up with a mild head injury. Mike Ruffner still did nothing! Deplorable!!!

Mike Ruffner and his sidekick Amy the registrar, are uncaring and clueless when it comes to helping a child in need at that school.

All teachers but one in four years seemed engaged and cared about our son. Readily responded to questions, gave good feedback at parent conferences.

Not sure really. They actively promote anti-bullying and foster a culture of respect. Our son never had a problem.

As a parent of a sophomore here I couldn’t be more impressed with the culture and education my child is receiving. She has grown and matured through the guidance and support of the staff and teachers. The teachers have always been honest, helpful and communicative about where my child is and how to support her.

I personally wrote thank you letters to almost a dozen teachers, each and every single teacher at this school is gifted and has a genuine caring for the student's learning.

The AP courses are naturally more demanding and there is a general absence of pointless "busywork". Everything a student does has a point and increases learning potential.

There is a code of communkity among students and staff at Rocky. It is called the Lobo Way. Every Freshman is required to take a class which instills in them the values and morals which are on display every day.

The staff and students are the best individuals in Fort Collins, Northern Colorado, and maybe even all of Colorado. As of this moment I am a senior graduating in 2 days and am shocked to see the place I love receiving such a poor rating from those who know nothing about it. We have some of the best athletic, science, language, business, music, art, social studies, departments in the state. Never have I ever met more students who actually say, "I love Rocky". Never a stranger to progress, this school has the most diverse body of students, and a true atmosphere of inclusion. I am a Spanish speaker and a minority, yet I never felt like an outcast at Rocky. Something many of my friends attending other schools in town have had to face. From the bottom of my heart I can say that I love my school, I love my teachers. The memories Rocky made and fosters are innumerable and it is the best damn High School in Colorado...

Rocky is a great school. In our district this year 2 of the 4 seniors with perfect ACT scores were lobos. Honestly, I don't know what that parent was talking about, there is really not that much drug use at out school. I mean, it is a high school and some students try that stuff, but that happens at any high school. I think it is funny that people dislike having to find teachers to get help. I think it is really benificial, because out professors in college wont track us down. The thing I will warn of is that our schedule can be rigurious, but that is only if you don't pay attention to what classes you sign up for. Over all, I love my school. My mom has been thinking about moving nearer to Pouder High School, and I refuse to even consider moving. No way, once a Lobo, always a Lobo!

I am a student at RMHS and i love it! They have amazing teachers and students. They are lacking a bit though. They lack teacher assistance which is needed for many students. They will help you if you need help but you have to find the teachers, they don't find you. Overall, I highly recommend RMHS for you or your kids.

I go to Rocky, and its the bomb. The best thing is that clicks arnt even a thing here. We have so many oppritunities for you to be who you are, and we do a ton of school chariety work too. Its such a great learning envoroment, and I'm so proud to be a Lobo. You really don't need to fit a mold, because we don't have one.

I hate this school i go here now and if you arnt a jock or known around school your practically just tossed aside. I have a horrible attitude on life because of this school. If i knew it was gonna be like this. I would of gone to another school.
