We have already seen one of our children thrive after several years at Johnson, and we're excited our younger son will start in the Fall. Every school in PSD is great but there is something special about the warmth and energy of this school.

Both of my daughters went through Johnson and we had the best experience. The teachers truly cared about learning and my kids socio-emotional health. I loved that "counseling" was a special and that the kids got one hour in specials per day. This school truly cares about the whole child and provides opportunities for kids to find their niche. The community is welcoming and engaged. Finally, being right next door to Webber Middle School helped ease the transition for both of my kids to middle school--if felt seamless. If you are looking for a well-rounded, caring community, I highly recommend you check out Johnson!

All three of my children have/are going to Johnson, and I just love how welcoming they are to everyone that walks through the front doors. I love that they are very engaged with their feeder schools and allow the children that have moved on from Johnson a way to come back and help the Johnson community. Webber middle school and Rocky High are very connected to the school. The amount of volunteer time that goes into this school is also amazing. I am grateful for Johnson and their staff!

I have two kids at Johnson and we could not be happier! The best part is the community Ive built there as a parent. Its a neighborhood school, so all of my kids friends and classmates are also our neighbors, which makes playdates so easy. We have loved all 5 teachers weve had there so far and Im such a nerd that I even enjoy going to the Pride Assemblies. I feel like the whole staff truly cares about the students. And I love that the students all LOVE Mr. k, the school custodian! He has his own cheer and everything. Ive been present during a potential medical emergency at school and the staff took it so seriously I know my kids are safe there. We are so happy to have moved into the neighborhood and become part of the Johnson Community!

The school employs hostile para professionals who disrespect teachers and are aggressive toward children. The school when approached about any issues become vengeful and overly protective of said bully employees. The school goes out of their way to ensure they are petty about any issues that are brought up that they don't agree with. They turn away volunteer parents who have stood up for their children and make sure that they are punished even though they have dedicated their personal time to helping kids. I do not recommend this school to any parent that is willing to stand up for children when it is necessary.

My child has been going to Johnson for four years now and we LOVE IT! Every teacher has been absolutely wonderful and the Principle and AP know each and every one of these kids and are very engaged with all of them. There is diversity at this school that we enjoy and is celebrated, but I also see that all the kids are getting the attention and resources that they need. We feel very supported and love to be involved. When summer break was over this year my kiddo was so EXCITED to be going back to school; that was the testament to how great Johnson is!

Johnson has been a great experience for our family. When exploring the schools in the district, I toured 11 different schools including charter schools and identified programs(Core Knowledge, IB, STEM). You name it and I probably toured and researched the different structure of curriculum.
I found Johnson, it was the only school in the district that makes counseling a designated special. In addition the other specials were included and identified as an important piece of preservation in education to identify The Whole Child perspective.
We choiced into Johnson my sons kindergarten year and eventually bought a house in the neighborhood to be closer to the Johnson community.
My son is now in his last year at Webber Middle School and walks to pick up our daughters from school daily with the schools being next to each other!
This school provides a community, a family and the ideology of The Whole Child both with a strong curriculum and social/emotional development. I cannot speak more highly of what this school has to offer.

This school was the best school ever!! I didnt really like going to Johnson at the time but now that Ive graduated if I had the choice to go back to Johnson all over again or graduate school for ever right now I would choose to go back to Johnson again! All my friends where great and it felt like a community there and the education was good and I felt like it was a great place to grow up at.

Teachers truly care and go above and beyond to help each student at his or her level. Both my kids went here and both had many outstanding teachers who fostered a love of reading, art, science, and more. Good parent and community involvement, too.

This is a quality school in a great neighborhood. It is not a great school. As a teacher myself I haven't seen anything that sets is apart. It's very nice looking , yes. The classrooms are nice looking , yes. There's just nothing to rave about. I'd recommend 1 of the 3 teachers my child had at this school. They have activities like rock climbing but you better be on the inside because it's full before they even send the notice out to all the parents. It really bothered me how the previous bi-lingual principal seemed to favor the ESL kids. Stopped going to PTO because of it . He sat at the head of the table and decided what to do with your $$$. And they're always asking for your $$$.

This was a great school for my two kids. They enjoyed school, their teachers cared about them, and they grew as learners!
