From 2021 to present this school has done nothing but hold kids back from their potential. They no longer teach. They rely on devices and your kids will come home dumber then when they started. They purposefully withhold information from parents. Children have fled the school and made their way to the road. Poor management, poor supervision and poor communication. If you have a child with special needs, stay away. You will never really know what's going on unless your child is able to tell you.

When I went there, there was so much bullying and just judgment overall by fellow peers and the teachers and administration did nothing really about it. When I went to a different school from there for my 6-grade year through my middle school years, it was so much better, I overall felt much safer, welcomed, and feel like I learned more about who I was and what I like, instead of trying to fit in like I was trying to do in Scotland Elementary School. I do have to say, if your kid is having trouble reading and writing, they do well teaching and helping kids with that and it has helped me through the years. Generally, though, you would have to pick and choose your battles going to this school when I went, however, I haven't gone in some time, therefore, I don't know what it is like now, but I do have to say it isn't the worst option if you choose to go but also shouldn't be your top option as well.

Scotland is a small hidden gem in the corner of Connecticut with just over 100 students. The teacher-to-student ratio is very low. Scotland Elementary School focuses on individualized learning and much of the small rural community was born and raised in Scotland, giving the community a unique charm. The new administration( principal and Superintendent) has been working hard to bring in professional development and really showcase Scotland. A great small community.

Off the chart. I dont think other schools can hold a candle to them. I have been down south, MA, NH and i have never met a school or staff so dedicated and invested in your child and their future as Scotland Elementary. In today's day and age it takes real talent to teach at a level that will cater to every child's needs the way they need to learn it and they've got it mastered!

This school goes above and beyond for your child and family! I have never seen a school do so much for their students and families. The staff is truly amazing. They don't teach "to" your child, they teach "for" your child. There's a big difference and it shows in my daughter coming from Brooklyn. She was sent to the principal everyday in kindergarten! When we moved to Scotland my daughter become a different kid all together because of their teachers and their ability to teach for her in a way she understood and enjoyed..using her strengths and abilities giving her confidence in herself. The leadership here is rock solid and so profound. I could not ask for a better school.

This is a wonderful school with excellent, dedicated teachers, and a small, friendly community. My two children attended from pre-K through 6th, and loved Scotland School.

My boys attended SES and we thought it was a great school where they got a lot of support and my kids felt very safe there and did well. They have both grown into wonderful adults.

My granddaughter attends Scotland Elementary School. She had been attending a different school at the beginning of the school year. She has only been in the Scotland School System for a month and already she has greatly improved her reading comprehension. She is very happy in Scotland and feels much more confident since she has been in her new school.

Scotland was a fairly good school. I was there from pre-k to sixth grade. all of the teachers were nice, and I loved being there. I didn't really like the principal though. I'm glad they got a new one. I met her last year and she was really nice. I'm glad SES is improving day by day.
