Since my grandson started here K-3rd, I have nothing but great things to say. Everyone knows him and the family. Everything possible has been done to help him with his disabilities. Speech, learning, ADHD & recently Autism spectrum. Always informed on progress, which has come a along way. He loves this school and all the teachers, staff, including the principal. We will be moving out of state and pray he gets into another great school!

We are a military family, and we love Louis Sheffield Elementary. The staff have treated us like a local family since day one, they embraced my children and really made us feel like their own family. I am a very picky mom when it comes to teachers, and I have high expectations of learning for my kids. My son started at LSE with an IEP for a speech disability and was testing below the state and national averages. In four years, they worked hard on his speech and English proficiency, he is now scoring above the national average and no longer needs speech therapy. Principal Delay is amazing, she works tirelessly to keep all of the students safe and sprinkles a little bit of fun... and some dance moves on the school day. The front office has really become our family away from family and made the past four years of living in Jacksonville much easier on my children. The teachers are absolutely amazing, something fun related to learning always seems to be happening somewhere around campus whether it be the kids growing their own butterflies, reading celebrations, or art exhibits, they keep it interesting.

We have to transfer to San Diego in July of this year for three years and my first grader is already demanding that we return to Jacksonville after her dad retires so she can complete her 5th grade year at LSE :-) It would probably be the only reason we would consider returning to Oceanway instead of relocating to another area for better learning opportunities for my son who will be in high school by that time.

They teach the students to be good, they teach them about different subjects, and they make sure they learn.

I would say that my school experience was great because the teachers made sure that we were on track.

This school has a small-town feel to it. My child loves it here; and has learned and retained a great deal. Very pleased!

Awesome school, beautiful, clean and advanced. the teachers and staff are wonderful!!!!!!! It's the best school in this community. my daughter loves it and it makes me happy!!!

This is my be in an old building, but the teachers and faculty are great! My son just finished 6 years at Sheffield and he absolutely loved the school. As a parent, I felt I was kept involved in his education and the teachers did not have issues when I inquired on his progress.

We are new to Sheffield this year, as we moved here from out of state. We came from an excellent school and I had very high expectations. With my oldest, the expectations have been met and then some. This school has been amazing for him. He loves it and his teachers are incredible. My youngest, however, Im not very fond of her teacher. 2 months into school and she still cant get her name right and often sends home another students work and progress reports. My child is still struggling to adjust to the move, and this isnt helping.

sheffield elementary school have great ,awesome and dedicates teachers. mrs.Highsmith, mrs.Wood, mrs.lumsden,, mrs.connor, mrs.richardson, mrs.slucomb, mrs.dorsey are the best ,best,best teacher.the school in general have great staff. is clean promote academy enviromental. like mother I was feel always welcome in shefield.the parents always involves on activities ,always helps school I am recommend that school. june/22/2012

First grade teacher, Mrs. Roberts is the absolute best! My son was in her class last year and enjoyed every minute of the year. It is amazing how much a child can learn when a teacher makes it fun for them!!!! Mrs. Roberts, Can you move to third grade? We have missed you!
