I've have 5 children go to this school over the years and when Dr. Vaugn was principal there was no problems. Once Mcgee took over it went down hill. Teachers take these “minor referrals” completely out of hand. If the student talks to loud, barley touches another child, or simply “gets on the teacher's nerves” the were told to be written up. This follows the child over the years and makes the student look terrible when they go to the next grade. The teachers automatically label the student, as a problem and think they have the right to harass the student for the rest of the year. The students get to a point were they give up, because no mater what they do, they will continue to get marked simply based on the teachers emotions or assumption. Once marked, they are eliminated from all fun activities, field trips and parties during the school year. Within this past year my child went from being excited to go to school, to depressed because of the 2 teachers. At this time, we have decided to move towards the Santa Rosa county area where the schools are better!

This school is a failure on so many levels. The leadership is nonexistent at best the blind leading the blind.I have reviewed several social media post of the staff and so called educators and it’s appalling. Some are scantly clad inappropriately as well as having strong political rants and run the risk of surrendering children immigrants to ICE. If your child is black brown or any other nationality not accepted via the heritage white nationalist groups, please refer them to another school. The principal of this school suggested to a parent to remove her child from the school instead of protecting that child from discrimination of a disability. So sad and shameful the district should investigate.

the principle here is horrible she needs to be investigated especially based on the reviews I have read and here is 2025 and it looks like she has been getting away with her actions for a while

Hit or miss. There are a lot of great teachers it just depends who you get.

I had a very bad experience with my child attending this school. I would not recommend this school to no parent that is transitioning from private school. The principal does not support parents.

Will not allow my children to go to this school any longer. After putting in several hours of volunteer work and doing anything possible to help the school and my children the principal decided to show her appreciation by making false accusations. After being proved wrong the principal appears to hold a grudge and acts as though she will take out her frustrations on my children. Well she won't have the chance. I will not have my children there another minute.
