Excellent communication with the teachers. The principal is always involved in the school activities. The students are excelling in all subjects.

Horrible school. They teach to be “good enough”….not to excel. I removed my child mid-year because he was failing every math test, but was passing the class because the teacher allowed him to rework and resubmit for passing credit. I’m sorry, but that does NOT an A-school make. Neither has the teacher ever reached out to me to express concerns…. because in the eyes of Wildlight, my son’s doing just fine! UNBELIEVABLE. Also, the principal informed me today when I brought it up that they do not teach students how to use a dictionary and thesaurus. So my child is being assigned essays to write without being taught how to use basic reference materials. Again I say, unbelievable. Beware of the grades they advertise…kids are given passing grades instead of getting the obvious help they need.

We moved to Wildlight from another A-rated school which was knock-your-socks-off amazing. We were so scared about losing our old school and transitioning mid-year, but we have 100% found a new home here at Wildlight. The administration is friendly, our teacher is wonderful at communication, and our daughter is excelling academically/ socially. There are after school parent engagement opportunities frequently where we get to play bingo for books, explore STEM, and just get together with the school family. Best of all, my daughter is excited to go to school each day. We love Wildlight!

My child came in midway through the year and we have been very disappointed. I called the school more than 30 days prior to our arrival in an effort to make this transition smooth and here we are months in and my son still hasn't received the proper materials such as his class specific workbook or classroom laptop. I have called, emailed and can not even get a response. I have offered to purchase the laptop in my correspondence; still nothing. His teachers have said it is out of their hands. I've watched the enthusiasm my son has for dim here and it breaks my heart. I wish I had avoided this district but felt confident because of the "A" rating.

We have had a wonderful experience so far. My daughter is new to the school as a kindergartener. We love her teacher she was assigned and the interactions we’ve had with other members of the staff have all been very pleasant! My daughter always comes home with a positive attitude and something good to say about her day. Her teacher has also made an effort to be extra supportive for her emotional needs while her dad is deployed, showing her compassion and grace on those extra tough days, and that is a gift of its own. So far we are very pleased with our choice to move into a neighborhood that was zoned for this school.

Lacks communication with parent. Didn't want to take time to help my daughter adjust to new school environment.

My son gets bullied and the school does not care. And they don't teach my kid good.
