Military family. My daughter attended K-2 here and has missed it dearly since we moved. She still talks about the friendships she had, the teachers she loved and the education. She was noticeably ahead of the students in her new school who also came from different parts of the US. My wife and I had the choice of sending our daughter to a private school while in FL and have zero regrets from choosing Kenwood elementary instead. From our experience, the teachers obviously cared and still stay in touch through social media to check on our daughter. The community around Kenwood is also top notch and we always felt safe there. We plan on returning once out of the military.

The teachers do not communicate with the parents. My child has been going here since kindergarten and the communication has gotten progressively worse with each teacher. Now that my child is in 3rd grade and about to take the FSA, we have been having problems with test anxiety and continued lack of communication. I have told the teachers, principal, assistant principal and guidance counselor that they need to communicate with me to alleviate the anxiety my child is having and they refuse to work with me. I am willing to help and deal with my child and they have not complied with my requests. They are even making it difficult to get an IEP - it seems no one knows the steps to take to even start the process. Luckily, my child has been accepted into a different school next year, so hopefully this issue will be solved. I would not recommend this school if your child has anxiety or if you would like the teachers to communicate with you.

The school is not up to date at all as far as structure, outdoor play areas. The teachers do not communicate well at all and the principle may seem to care but doesn’t put into place an action plan. My child hated this school from day 1, by far the worst school my child has been too and we move around a lot due to military. Every even is complete disorganized, teachers gossip on their radios and drama between teachers. Would not recommend this school academically at all. Release hours are in organized, numberous times they have tried to put the wrong kid at pick up line.

The staff at Kenwood allowed my son who was starting kindergarten to leave school property and he was found by a law enforcement agent the school never noticed he was missing and never called me since then they have aeekmed to have a problem with hem the good teachers have left that school and the to guy had failed before school had even started by not having the teachers to accommodate for the student attending and my son has had four different teachers since he started there therefore there has been no stability or concistancy for him since he started school there and makes. You wonder why a school has such a turnover rate with teachers the teachers my kid is with now have no expierance or very little. We had a parwn teacher conference and my son was playing with blocks while we we're talking and he began to talk to his self and then he created something with the blocks and said dad look what I did and me. Piccard was very rude and dismall to him he was proud of what he did and was excites to share what he did with us and she very rudely shut him down. I'm am now told they onlynjavw two chaperones to go on a field trip so if my son wanted to go I would have to take him. I used to be a student here. I went from Kindergarden to Fourth grade. My best childhood memories were from this school. There is no other school like Kenwood. I miss it so much and if I could, I would send my children to this amazing school! This is from voice of expierience. Enroll your child at Kenwood! You won't regret it. The teachers here are spectacular! Extremely nice and will help you with all your needs. Kenwood also has many social events. My favorite was the Fall Carnival! They teach you the basic needs in life. Will never forget such a wonderful school. -Helen Noel-

This is the best school around. My son has a learning disability and they are the only ones who cared about what school he would go to for middle school. The even helped me get him enrolled in the best school for him. I have never seen such a caring school before.

Loved the teachers and my three kids were able to get an incredibly awesome education here at this school. Unfortunately, the principal was unfriendly and unavailable to both parents and teachers. Hopefully there will be a new school principal soon because this school is too incredible to be brought down by poor leadership. Again, awesome teachers, awesome students, horrendously disappointing principal.
