This school honestly does not care if you pass at all. The teachers are just plain out rude, I had a teacher tell me she was going to hold my phone for two weeks. There’s way too many fights that happen. Kids are just off the walls and plain out disrespectful. And another thing the teachers don’t like to explain how to solve things

My son previously went to FWB High School, he was in college courses and was barely making it. We sent him to the Academy, less students and more one on one with student and teachers. My son has extreme ADHD and he is on medication and we did not think he was going to pass this last year, until we sent him to Okaloosa County. He said the teachers were EXCELLENT there, he took the same exact college classes and he made All A's. I asked him what was so different from FWB High school, he said MOM, the teachers at Okaloosa Academy are the BEST he's ever had, and he said he understood their teaching way better they had tremendous patience with all the teens. Wished we had sent him to Okaloosa Academy from the beginning.

My son excelled here. More so than any other school he has attended. He said mainly because of the teachers and they way they taught.

The very best. Wished we had known about this school years ago. He isn't the biggest school or the fanciest. But it is the BEST around FWB, and it really needs to be given way more credit.

They won't offer homework because they are afraid of dealing with the fact that the kids won't do it.

Worst educational experience I've ever been a part of. There are a handful of dedicated teachers but administration/transportation is beyond shameful, at best. A total nightmare. The higher ups couldn't care less about what happens to the kids.

i go to the academy and i hate it. they failed me as a student. i went there by choice because i was a few credits behind. i told the ladies that are in charge my plan and if they can help me reach my goal (because im a special needs child or ESE). the promised that once i was done with my credits i could go back to Fort Walton Beach High. I an A, B student, my GPA is around 3.4 i was in clubs and sports at Fort Walton Beach High. they are slow to update you on your credits and what not. its like jail! and the kids a horrible. if you like quiet studies, cancel that because it never quiet and all the teachers are either getting fired or quitting. this is by far the worse school i've ever been to. thanks to them, i wont be experiencing my last year of high school like the rest of my friends. i wont get to see what prom is like, homecoming, senior picture, senior skip day, i wont walk across the stage with my childhood friends. the academy failed me as a student, crushed my dreams, and my chance that i'll never get back. I HATE THE ACADEMY!
