As a student, I often feel unsafe, unhappy, and fed up, anytime I have to step foot on this school’s property. These feelings aren’t because I don’t like school or whatever it’s just genuinely how I feel because of how the environment is. Discipline is rarely taken seriously, any written statements or reports on other students or teachers are often left unhandled or not handled correctly. When making a statement against a teacher as a student, expect ZERO confidentiality, and because of that you can expect a LOT of bias and unfairness from the teacher you reported.

Teachers to be quite frank, are very disrespectful, a lot of the time I’ll walk by teachers talking about their students in ways they shouldn’t be. If you don’t understand something in class, good luck, you’ll be forced to understand and likely yelled at because you don’t.

As far as BASIC ACCESS to things such as the bathroom or nurse, teachers will force students to go an entire class period without doing so, I’ve in fact been told I couldn’t use the bathroom even though it was within the designated time (15 minutes after start of class and 15 minutes before the end). After lunch, you also cannot use the bathroom, teachers will physically block it with items such as trash cans and office chairs, with notes on them saying it’s “closed.” As far as the nurse, teachers will often refrain students from going to the nurse by telling them to wait or convincing them they don’t need to go and rather that they need to do their work or listen to the lesson.

Parents, coming from a student, please, explore other options before enrolling and putting your child into this poor school environment. Likely I’d get in trouble for making this review, but I want parents to be well aware of the poor environment and treatment students have to go through.

The school is something to say the least.. Most of the teachers at this school are nice and understanding, but for someone who is a leadership teacher (no name) She sure doesn't act like it. Maybe she should host an attitude management class for herself and some other teachers.. (breakfast teachers) When you get mad at something, snapping at your students who did nothing is sure not one way to solve anything. Enjoys talking to popular kids but treats non-popular like creatures because their quiet. And you can't deny it because I've seen it firsthand and was shocked. Do better..

So far, I have been attending this school for first quarter. Only a couple weeks in through the first quarter I have already run into some issues, bus stops. In the beginning I was told that my bus stop is across at moore loop, I also lived very far away from there which was ridiculous to have to walk all the way over there especially at 6 in the morning especially during winter months when it is darker outside. Me and my parents decided to talk to the principal to ask how we can fix this issue, my parents are usually busy and dont have the time to do this in person as both do have full time jobs. So we decided to do this by calling them and sending a voicemail, My mother has tried a couple times but it took them 3 weeks to fully respond and tell us how to fix it. They told us to speak to the bus administration and they would handle it, so we did. We tried speaking to them about the issue but it took them another week to respond, once they did they promised they would add a bus atop near my house and it will be there monday. On monday I waited out my house just waiting for the bus too come, I noticed they were late and i had to be drove to school by mom’s friend due to the fact they have never came. Turna out they didnt inform the bus driver nor did the school due to laziness, or lack of consideration and only told them till later. NEXT ISSUE! Teachers.
I am in beginning band this year and the new band teacher is quite nitpicky, or rude. She covers up her behavior by being silly or the “fun” teacher. I own a 1000 dollar clarinet and when I used to put my instrument in the lockers the case got scratched or broken because kids mishandled my instrument and shoving it aside to put theirs in, this school has enough money to put clothes in PE lockers but none for band. We then decided to tell the band teacher about this and she gave us quite a lot of attitude and promised to look at cameras and tell the principal and etc to see who did it. Weeks later it STILL has not happend. This school has an issue of taking care of issues and dealing with problems and I find the staff incredibly lazy and frustrating. Not to mention they make so much money off of spirit wear and force you to buy it or punish you if you dont. Yet they probably don’t pay staff enough and dont care about the quality of their school, shame on you Davidson.

My daughter is supposed to ride the bus, but recently they have come to my attention that my daughter can not get on the bus anymore. Because she lives to close to the school. I don't have the time in the morning to drive her to school. She doesn't live as close as they think to the school. It is a good walking distance from my home to the school. I don't know why they are saying this now, because they drove her the entire last year. I do have a problem with this because I don't want her to walk to the school or ride a bike because of the dangers of the road and other reasons. Again I don't have the time to drive her and no one else will or can. So I don't know what the school wants me to do other than put my daughter in harms way. She really enjoyed going on the bus and this news is heartbreaking.

This school is great, Im a 8th grader at this school currently and in the ESE program where i attend meetings for my iep, and in the last three years I've been here its lively and bright and bullying doesn't come around much and there are two mental health staff one for military one for overall. All the staff are really nice and the principals are involved. Im going to miss this place

The baseball team selection process should be a fair process and not a selection base on who you know.
