This school is absolutely vile. The amount of fights and situations going on? Incredibly Scary and harmfull for students and some teachers alike, The principal is a straight up nasty person, the vice principal makes it his mission to destroy students learning, the dean is very nice, he was the old principal for the primary, the amount of bullying many pupils have experienced is vile, many many shooting threats, even one on my own bus, and he never got moved away from the bus until he actually moved. Overall -2/10, some of the teachers are straight godsends, but the teachers teaching younger grades? Absolutely disrespectful and discouraging any child they meet.

Its fun, the staffs get onto kids when needed while some teachers are just straight up vile, good students, fun projects over all a decent school!

Horrible school and staff. We transferred here in 2021, and I have never seen such a school lacking communication and overall well-being for the students. My child used to have good grades and after coming to this school they have now done summer school the three years they have been at this school. My child used to never have issues in learning until coming to this school and if your child is lacking in a certain area, they will just request a conference about why your child is doing not so well and NOTHING will change. No sending extra worksheets with the child, helping them understand what they are doing wrong on a particular subject. Basically, your child will be loss and forgotten and have horrible grades.

The school says it's rated A, but I am not so sure about that. Communication between teachers, principles, and the parents regarding their child is an issue. I have had issues over the last couple of years with communication about my child and knowing what's going on. Even after emailing, setting up parent-teacher conference about my child things have not changed for the better for them. Child's schedule, overall communication, has been constantly changing without parents approval and notification and/or why things are being changed.

Sad that the guidance counselor said to me that they can't help my child . When my child arrived she was a/b honor roll. My kid has several educational issues and we worked HARD for her grades with an IEP . We transfered to another school at the end of the year because her grades dropped to D's and F's . The school we transferred to helped us get her grades back up to A/B honor roll.
Total lack of respect and understanding!!!

Theyll run out of lunch and serve the kids corn, no phone calls to parents. Teachers talk down on them and break their spirits if they dont understand a subject instead of adapting to the childs learning style. Get a waiver to send your kid elsewhere.

Priorities are mismatched. Funding is spent in a haphazzard manner. Students serve as car cows for some arbitrary agenda that accomplishes nothing within the realm of education.

Students are given the bare minimum to pass standardized tests. Do yourself a favor if your student needs help and get an IEP and the pursue either a Mckay scholarship or find a good online public school like Connections Academy or FLVS.

Absolutely poor. Having dealt with middle schools in 3 different states, this is easily the worst. I transitioned 2 students to online public schools like FLVS and the results were head and shoulders above. Both students went on to be extremely successful in high school. The one that did not struggled in high school and had to be withdrawn and enrolled in online high school to finish successfully.

If you have a child with special needs, this is not the school for you. They don't take the parents input in the child education at all. We moved over 2000 miles just to put our child into this school system and regret it. It has done no better than the school system she was in and that school is rated a 3. Can't wait to get out of Florida! !!!
