Main office staff: Unprofessional, patronizing, rude, dismissive and disrespectful. An experience for my kids and for me as a parent that become memorable for all the wrong reasons. On the positive side this experience served as a teachable moment for my kids. The eldest was at disbelief asking over and over again: Why are you been treated like this? How arent you mad? Why dont you say something or call someone? Mom! Why are you so calm, even though you are being polite, they continue to treat you like this. This isnt right.
In that moment, seeing how upsetting this experience was for them, gave me serenity and strength to remain calm. After exiting the premises, I sat with my kids and explained to them. How others treat you when they are in a position of authority or under any other circumstances when is required of them to act with professionalism, empathy and understanding says everything about them. If you respond with aggression and disrespect, you will be exactly like them. Never get down to their level, always remain respectful.

We've had 2 children go through WNPS and both have had a very good experience. The ACES (gifted) programs are exceptional and the iLP's are taken seriously to assist students on both sides of the curve. It can take a while to get your student tested but is well worth it. Class sizes are smaller than previous states we've lived in and test scores for Navarre are among the very highest in Florida, which is a big-ass state. Our interactions with staff and teachers has been positive all around. PTO is also solid.

I am truly amazed by the standards and delivery of education at WNPS. My son loves his school. The teachers support, encourage in various ways a positive learning experience.

We moved here from another state in a district in which all schools were rated as "10's" by greatschools.org and could not be more pleased with our experience at WNP. Our son is much happier here and we feel he is getting much more personal attention than he did in his previous top-rated district. He is progressing much more quickly at WNP and doesn't hate going to school every day. Parental involvement is encouraged and the administrative staff and faculty are courteous, helpful and attentive. The assistant principal seems to be very involved with the kids and adds an element of fun with his participation in extracurricular activities. The only reasons I didn't give it five stars are: art and music only once every seven days (although PE five out of seven is a plus), and I agree with the other posters that sometimes the cafeteria discipline seems overly strict.

I had previously posted on here before, and it was deleted. Obviously someone has a difference in opinion about these schools than I. I still stand behind my belief that primary school staff need to be fired to make WNIS better. I also have children at WNP. BOTH schools have SERIOUS problems with supportive staff. RUDE and gossipy. My kids have been to lots of schools in lots of states and these two are by far the worst for supportive staff. Parent involvement high, teachers we have gotten have been amazing, just remember NOT all are created equal! One of these days school staff will eventually wind up on the web somewhere with video of them yelling at people's children. I just can't bring myself to give these school anymore stars....... some of the teachers are the best my children have had...... but you have to be able to get past school staff first, that can be tough to do.

My sons have both attended WNP. They have been blessed with an exceptional education where they are motivated and encouraged to excel. I appreciate the leadership and support they have had.

I've had 3 children go through WNPS, and we love this school! The teaches really do care about their students and their education. The principal is very involved and takes your concerns seriously. And they really encourage parent volunteering. Some negatives...Cafeteria staff are a bit rude and make the kids lay their heads down when they're finished eating. Also, school has no extracurricular activities. That worked out because the community has a ton of sports going on throughout the year. Only problem with that was my kids would build relationships with people from other areas that they never saw at school. Also, my son takes speech classes, and the teacher is pretty rude to the kids and parents.

WNP has some good teachers and just some teachers. Parent involvement is high. The principal rates a 1 with me, friendly on the outside but not so friendly, caring or supportive on the inside. I have heard staff talk to students very harshly, especially the cafeteria workers and I don't mean the cooks or servers.

WNPS is a breath of fresh air!! We relocated here from Wisconsin, where I must say I was very dissatisfied with the overall school system, curriculum, my son's 1st grade teacher (poor communicator and did not want parent's involved). I toured several schools between Santa Rosa and Okaloosa County and I chose this school. The curriculum is top notch and the kids are pushed to do their best and are kept physically active. The drop off/pick-up system and overall security of school is EXCELLENT and we have been very pleased!!
