I went to Navarre High school for my full four years and I’m not writing this review at a spy. I’m gonna write it out of honesty. Navarre High school definitely is not a welcoming or warming environment for your student. The staff there will put on a face in victimize themselves so they get their way. The higher up staff do not care about the well-being of their students except for dress code. They never cared about the kids doing drugs in the bathroom or about the kids who are being bullied. They only cared about their image Navarre High school academics are not reaching satisfaction at all I had a higher private tutors to help me study because asking the teacher for help was not an option. They won’t help you. You have to figure it out on your own. The staff doesn’t care if you understand the staff doesn’t care if you’re going through mental disabilities or you name it but they definitely care if you’re a minute late my experience at Navarre high school was 100% the worst that I’ve ever experience with teachers giving out private information to students when I wasn’t present to teachers, being extremely inappropriate and gestures and conversations speaking that this was the only high school in my area for me to reach on my own, I would never wanna go there again.

Navarre High School is a disgrace. The level of incompetence and unprofessionalism from staff is beyond unacceptable. It’s painfully obvious that student safety, accountability, and basic human decency are not priorities here.

Concerns are ignored, dismissed, or buried, and anyone who expects urgency or compassion will be severely disappointed. The staff’s response to serious issues feels careless at best and negligent at worst. Communication is a mess, leadership is nonexistent, and students are left feeling unsafe, unheard, and completely unsupported.

This school fails at the most basic responsibility of protecting and advocating for its students. If you value your child’s safety, mental health, or dignity, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Based on my experience, I would strongly warn anyone against sending their child to Navarre High School.

This school has been an absolute nightmare for our family. If you are considering sending your child to Navarre High School, I urge you to look elsewhere. The administration and staff are some of the most dismissive and unhelpful people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

The teachers are a mixed bag. While there are a few good ones, many are simply mediocre, and there is a significant lack of consistent standards and training.
This results in an inconsistent education for the students. The student body is large and, in my opinion, weak, and the staff's authoritative nature discourages students rather than motivates them.

Safety is a major concern, both on and off campus. Bullying is rampant, and the school's response is lackluster at best. While the student handbook outlines a strict anti-bullying policy, it feels like it's just for show. In reality, there is a clear issue with favoritism, and discipline is not applied equally. My child experienced discrimination from both students and staff, and when we brought it to the school's attention, we were met with indifference and a complete lack of support.

Parental involvement is not valued at this school. It is nearly impossible to get a response from anyone, and it feels like parents' concerns about their children's education and mental health are completely disregarded. The guidance counselors are stretched thin, with each one being responsible for over 500 students, making it incredibly difficult to get an appointment or any meaningful support.

Overall, our experience with Navarre High School and Santa Rosa County School District has been a huge disappointment. The school's environment is not conducive to a positive learning experience, and the lack of concern for student well-being is appalling. I would not recommend this school to any parent who wants their child to be in a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment.

Santa Rosa County School District is the absolutely the worst school district I've ever seen. Navarre HS and current administration staff are completely unprofessional and don't care about the well being of the students and are always disrespecting the parents and their control over their own child in mental health, academics and overall safety. Communication from staff is next to none. School events are not properly supervised and minors 13 yo- 18yo are able to leave freely, off campus, into other cars with other adults and or older students unsupervised, creating an unsafe situation. I would NEVER recommend this school or district if you love and care for your child.

Cant get a diploma and keeps failing me over and over again. They won’t call you back about anything. I’ve had to call them and email them serval times to barely get a response back. I have an IEP, now all of a sudden all the paperwork disappeared.

I started attending Navarre over a year ago. I know it hasn’t been that long, but I am sure of my judgement. Most of these kids have spent their entire lives here, it’s hard to find your people. I’ve gone in and out of many groups of people, and it’s honestly sad how many choose to not think about other peoples feelings. The teachers are not that great, some of them care. Others simply don’t, they are usually just preparing you for a test for that week or a big exam. I know a lot of teachers are struggling to engage with their students, we’re all moody teenagers. I just wish they would put in the effort, or try to. The faculty is more worried about suspending people for drug use, and or skipping classes than the actual well being of their students. The school alone, is sort of depressing. Many of the bathrooms need serious renovations, well actually the whole school does. The school is dirty and they make it feel like a prison. I feel like the only way to really fit in here is if you’ve been here your whole life, and just know people. Or you’re a athlete. They care more about football, than any other sport (always putting funds into it) I wish they had more to offer, extracurricular wise. I’m coming to the end of my junior year, and I will be graduating here. Although Navarre is a pretty place to live, the school is simply not it. Many of the people here are really mean, and seem to lack empathy. You can find good people here and I managed to. I would say for being a minority, a big portion of the school is Caucasian and many are racist to your face or behind your back. I know it’s not really the school but the people here. I wish the school was able to see this and actually do something about it. But at last they are too worried about handing parking tickets out, even when are school is overcrowded. I get that it’s a smaller town, and there’s nothing I can do to leave here, but if you do have the option to go to a better school. I would say do it, or go online. It’s not worth the waste of energy, especially if you consider yourself a more keep to yourself kind.

This school is nothing more than a disappointment. My child has recently had to move schools due to discrimination from students and staff. When confronted about the issues regarding peers or grades, the school is not much help. I do not recommend enrolling with NHS as they do not provide the help and resources their proclaimed students need. The experience at this school was not pleasant for me nor was it for my child.

I was a substitute teacher at this school until one day, three students accused me of masterbating in the classroom. The principal when speaking to me pressured me to admit to doing it by the way he was questioning me and furthermore, I had given him the wrong answers to some questions because he made me feel rushed to answer his questions. I have to say I have a bit of a disorder in which I have to fidget and when people misinterpret me, I become upset.

I used to be a student at NHS but I left halfway through freshmen year because I didn't feel like Navarre was all what it was "cracked up to be". It was a good school in my opinions with good teachers, some of the students however where not the nicest and not in my opinion representing the school like they should've.

I'm a student, currently a junior. So I've had some time to learn how things work and what the experience at this school is really like. To start off I would like to say that I am unimpressed and quite dissapointed. The school pours all of its money into the football season so they are left with almost nothing for anything else besides prom. I find that the teachers here are not that good at all. They just give you pointless work half the time just to keep you busy or they are preparing you for an exam. I don't know, the staff don't seem that passionate about what they teach. It shows in there teaching abilities. Being a shy, quiet, and perhaps lonely kid at school I have realized that the teachers are quick to judge and don't really try to connect with their students. That's just my experience, maybe if I was an outgoing athlete I would have a good experience at school. I can dress like every other follower here, claiming to be unique. That's not really the schools fault though, I don't hate NHS. I just think it could definitely change but it probably won't. In fact this review probably won't do anything. Anyway, the ciriculum taught in class doesn't really engage me. Alot of teachers just throw you a bunch of work without making sure you know the information. The student body is awful, I suffer from great scrutiny and judgment from everyone. I don't fit in and the school doesn't really help me feel anymore comfortable. I notice other students are bullied as well, worse than myself. I suppose you can't really change that though. So to conclude, I would more or less recommend this school to anyone who has a strong sense of school pride and who enjoys pep rallies. If you are more quiet and maybe depressed, go to online school. Everything here is a joke. This school sucks the life out of me. I'm creative and unique but I find no inspiration or motivation to do anything at all thanks to NHS. Much love.

I was a Sophomore (also my whole Freshman year) at this school, I recently moved, but my experience at this school was horrible. I was bullied a lot at this school and nobody seemed to care. It's the worst school I've ever attended, teachers don't know how to teach, and all they teach you is how to pass the huge exam at the end of the year. Tons of bullying happens at this school. Would I ever go back? No.

Do not attend this school. Do not allow your children to attend this school. The school is filled with "wanna be ghetto" kids. Faculty is a joke and spend more time prowling the young girls. Stay as far away as possible. No good will come from your child attending this school. They're better off driving another 25 minutes to Gulf Breeze High school

The school is an OK school. There has been some bullying and some of the teachers are not the best. I have had some teachers there that were magnificent. The student body could use a reality check but you cannot change people. I will be a sophomore this year and I really hope the school has improved the teaching staff. Algebra 2 teachers have almost all been fired. I hope the school will be a little better. Other than that it is a good learning environment. I really like the college courses and honors courses that are offered at the school too!

Very disappointed. Our daughter loved her schools until now. Teachers show little interest in actually teaching and only seem interested in prepping the kids for the state exams. We understand it was a good school at one time, but been in a steady decline over past several years. And, the campus really needs work...a real dump!
