The school and faculty is more concerned about the length of students' haircuts than they are about an inclusive and safe environment. Almost no students stand for the pledge of allegiance. Students yell out racial slurs during class with no repercussions. Teachers bully kids and some trauma dump their own issues on students. Toxic environment with unavailable principal. A few quality teachers, but no solid discipline policies in place leaving teachers to handle disruptive students on a daily basis. No reading program in place at all. This school is like a last resort for the catholic system and does not live catholic values. Waste of money and should be shut down or overhauled.

I do not recommend sending your child to this school. Their reading and math scores as a school are very low. I agree with other reviews on here as far as any issue will be blamed on your child. They are the most concerned with their “liability” and not the well-being of the children. Behavioral issues are not dealt with fairly and appropriately, especially bullying. As a parent, you have no voice. I feel like the good reviews are coming from parents who, by chance, had a good experience.

This school doesn't teach the individual child. Making a child fit into a box is not learning, in my opinion.

If you have an exceptional learner, gifted child whatever the principal would like to call them, you will be very disappointed. You will also be questioned whether you child is gifted at all and If you had them tested. I was told my child was struggling and having a hard time doing assigned work, I said he was bored and didn't want to do it. I was basically told they knew my child better than me and he had to do the work, "That's life." If you would like to address your concerns with the superintendent, his reply is I don't know I have only been here a year. Catholic education is not what is use to be!

Little Flower is an amazing school. Their middle school teachers work as a team and truly care about the well being of their students. The students are learning. Thanks to a wonderful principal and dedicated teachers.

Good example of how a principle can ruin a great school. No accountability, no discipline and academics not a priority. Do not recommend sending a child there. The school used to be top rated, excelled in national testing, and the kids loved and wanted to go to school. The principal has no regard for the children or the parents. Being a private school the parents who pay for tuition have no say so. Students are not held to high standards they used to be. Cult like environment, were the principal goes around making the kids say "God is good, God is good all the time." Which is true, but they have to say repetitively over and over. Then chastises them and tells them that God won't like them. Middle school kids are treated and talked to the same way as the kids in kindergarten. Please do NOT send your children there!!!!

I have had atleast one child at LFS over the past 16 years. I am dumbfounded by some of the complaints I have seen on this website. WHile I may not alwyas agree with every rule or decision, the faculty and administration our fair. just and compassionate. I have never not received a phone call or email from anyone at the school. It is true that you may need to leave a messge, use the email system or EDMODO, the teachers website to communicate. All hw assignments are listed for parents review through Edmodo and grades and upcoming tests are available in "real time" via Powerschool. Spanish is taught to all chldren K-8, giving then a head start for a second language in High School . WHile this may different for a new parent, it allows you to have access to your childrens progress, participation and activites at all times. As far as sporting events...I have never witnessed our coaches or children act poorly. I have witnessed coaches from other teams scream and yell...sometimes the parents get over excited, myself incluced. This is a wonderful Christian environment where you will become family if you choose to be involved. It will be bitersweet as my last graduates in May....

I love this school. I sent my son here from 1-8 grades and now my daughter is there since K and is now in 7th grade. Both children love/loved going here and have many great things to say about it. The small size makes it feel very intimate and everyone knows each other. I feel and believe that my children received the best education possible here in our area.

I put my child in the K4 program here thinking we would get the same experience we got from St Johns Catholic School's K4's program that we sent out son to. We were excited to see that Little Flower now had a K4 program since it was a shorter drive, but we have been disappointed from the beginning. First of all, it is very difficult to get in touch with anyone at the school. This was my first complaint. Instead of having a receptionist that answers the phone, it's an automated system and it seems to have technical difficulties all the time. In all, the administration of this school seems very disorganized and that's being generous. The other complaint is with the K4 program itself. There is very little to no feedback on what the kids are learning every day. The teacher has an online site set up to where she is supposed to update parents on what the kids are learning, but that is not done often. Very little papers coming home showing what the kids are doing and just very little communication at all. This was disappointing to me as I like to be involved in what my kids are learning to help them at home. I didn't put here here to get baby sat, I actually wanted a learning environment.

At Little Flower School there is definitely a sense of belonging. Even though we are not Catholic, my children feel they are a part of the family. One of my children has severe food allergies, and I am so blessed to have the professional staff at LFS accommodate those allergies; knowing that she is safe everyday while she is there is a blessing for me. They have advanced technology; watching my K5 child do math problems on the IPAD is amazing. We have been attending this school for 4 years now and I am amazed by how much LFS continues to provide my children with an excellent academic education while getting them to be critical thinkers and leaps and bounds ahead of their peers. They show responsibility and self confidence that I do not see in their non-LFS friends. Outstanding school!

Growing up in Pensacola we knew the outstanding reputation Little Flower has had in the community. We wanted a school with up-to-date technology, a small sudent-teacher ratio, security and advanced education. We found it all at Little Flower. The students gain more than knowledge from an excellent education at Little Flower. They gain a deep seeded respect for fellow students and adults. The athletic programs are competitive and create a bond between athletes, not only at Little Flower, but with the other private school participants as well. I can honestly say whether a student or family that has been in attendance since kindergarten or a first year student in any grade, you feel welcome and a part of the Little Flower family right away.

We were searching for a small, Catholic school that offered a competitive edge for its students; yet, also individualized attention for special needs children. Our older child had gotten lost in another Catholic school that focused on boosting the gifted students. At Little Flower, we found exceptionally giving and caring faculty and a religious Sister as a principal who made the time for each student and class on a daily basis. Four years later, our two children remain enrolled at LFS. Our older child, who has special needs, has flourished in the family-like environment. And our younger child is constantly challenged and is excelling beyond our expectations. We also are touched by the profound impact that daily religion classes have on our children; thus, our whole family. Educate your children at a place where school, state-of-the-art technology, family and religion blend to form the base for truly well-rounded, conscientious, responsible and productive young people. Little Flower is an excellent school whose teachers and principal strive to provide our children with a top notch education and teach them more about the Catholic faith. Sister Barbara does an excellent job ensuring the children have the best technology to enhance their learning experience. Classrooms have the smart boards and the media center has the iMac laptops which are the top of the line and are also used at Catholic High. Overall we have been completely satisfied with the principal, staff, technology, education, and tuition. We could not be happier with our choice.
