This is a school run by a crooked politician and his entitled daughter along with a parent-run school board. Beware if you are your child offends or disagrees with a board member or their children. You will be bullied and ostracized. Not even sure why they put “Christian” in their name. Just a mediocre school with less than impressive academics.

Highly disconcerting experience with EHCS. The admissions policy is deceptive to the point where it is practically swindling. Their admissions department said they had plenty of positions & encouraged student application. Prospective students are promised admissions testing & an interview upon submitting $100 in fees. However, shortly after paying them $100 and taking their "admissions test", but without being granted an interview, you will receive a generic email saying " After a thorough review of school records, entrance exam, other scores, we do not believe that our program is the best fit at this time. Spots were limited this year & administration determined your student was not the best fit."

These emails are clearly generic because they send them out to students with exceptional test scores. If you try to inquire as to what scores were too low and need improvement, ECHS will send ambiguous responses and double-speak while never addressing the actual questions. The resounding overall impression is that the culture in the administration is both disingenuous and duplicitous.

We have had a great experience with East Hill Christian School. The teachers are personable and go out of their way to show the students that they care for them academically and personally. The school offers a high standard of academics and plenty of activities that our children can be involved in, including chess club, literature club, numerous sports, art, drama and music. We, as a family, have been very happy with our choice in East Hill Christian School!

I am a graduated of East Hill Christian School. When my family moved back to Pensacola, I knew that my kids would also find their place at East Hill. The school is large enough to provide many different activity choices, but small enough to have good class sizes and maintain the family atmosphere. I know that my children’s teachers are truly invested in their lives and rooting for them to succeed. Not only are my kids receiving a fantastic reading, writing, arithmetic education, but most importantly they are learning the word of God. This school poured into my life and now I have the benefit of watching my children learn and grow in the same loving, safe environment. I couldn’t ask for anything more!

Our daughter has been at EHCS for six years and is heading to high school next year. It has been a joy to be a part of this school. As a parent, I can't recommend it enough. This year, we had a student with serious medical issues - I watched and happily joined as we all became a family with them through prayer and love. Her journey is not over, but she knows her EHCS family is with her every step of the way. If you are considering this school - don't wait - classes fill up fast. We hope you join us !!

EHCS teaches Biblical principles regarding character. In the case of disciplinary action, the students are shown clearly the difference in right and wrong in the particular situation and taught how better to have handled a situation.

The high school was extremely cliquey. Bullying was very easy, and noticeable. Some of the middle schoolers would physically bully other students during class and only get a verbal warning from the teacher. There were students in the high school that could turn everyone on one student. The only group that wasn't super cliquey was disliked by the administration for no reason.

I'm going to try to be as discreet as possible so I can remain anonymous. There was major favoritism with certain students. I don't want to name any specific teachers, but one of mine used scare tactics to scare students into Christainity. There are better approaches for teaching students about God. Another tried borderline blackmailing my friend. Another teacher who was also administration was pretty sexist towards female students. But there were teachers I enjoyed and I'm still happy to see them even now.

I think that they taught certain students that they could get away with anything. Others were mistreated. Public school has a sharp contrast to EHCS because public schools actually RESPECT their students. EHCS hardly gave their students any respect, which reflected on the level of respect some of the students displayed. Although I know teachers are at a higher level than students, they should not be condescending. A few of my teachers did not pass on good character to their students because they didn't have any either.

If you were a student and you confronted administration about a problem, they would just tell you whatever would make you happy. But this method is not a problem solver. The administration also had its obvious favorites. I don't know all the factors that went into this, but I do know they favored students who's families were donors/sponsors. That is slightly understandable, but other students deserved respect too. There were few teachers I legitimately respected and I feel actually cared about all students. Much of the staff was also sexist towards female students.

I did not enjoy my time at East Hill. The favoritism is extreme. Many of the favorite students were very snobby and thought they were better than other students. It is a toxic learning environment. The teachers didn't care much for the students. This is the kind of Christian school that tests children's faith. As a student, I believe that many parents were not able to see the problems with the school. The administration was sexist and did not respect that students unless, they gave money to the school. They were very two faced and had many double standards The curriculum was not well taught or executed by most teachers. One positive thing I can mention is that the school did plan special trips, lunches and etc. I also became close with a few teachers, but they were like the diamonds in the rough. On top of that, it hardly had any opportunities class wise and extracurricular wise. They had sports, but there was favoritism, of course, but it was expensive especially those who paid and practiced, but never got to play. If you are a parent who is touring or talking to administration, please consider what your child may have to go through here.

My first year at east hill was great. I loved the teachers and the headmaster, all was well. When the new administration started working there that's when things went down hill. I wanted nothing more than to help at things and I feel as if I was treated with complete distain and cruelty by the staff. There are certain families at east hill that get treated with the upmost respect and their children were treated better than others. This young man was a bully to multiple people and no matter how many outcries students would make to the administration, they did nothing about this. It took this young man shoving another student against the wall and physically harming the other student for the administration to take any action. This was only after the other students parents threatened to get police involved! The administration didn't even notify the parents to begin with. Don't send your children here unless you want to be judged by these so called "Christians". This is because if you are not one of the golden families at this school don't think about getting an iota of respect. Their graduating class has 5 people this year and last year they had 7. Is a matter of time before the school shuts down all together.

This school is very political and has major favoritism over certain families. I may say that the curriculum is good, but not taught very well. You cannot get the full high school experience at East Hill and that is why I recommend sending your child to a larger school with more academic opportunities.

Very average school under new administration! Third new administration in only a few years. Some good caring teachers but overall curriculum not up to par. Limited classes and school losing more students every year. Do not waste your money sending them here. Go to public school for high school as I have dont for mine. Favoritism is high!

My son enjoyed his time there. I really felt like the teachers cared about the students success. Tight knit school, and I appreciate that. I believe my child was nurtured there educationally and spiritually. Only reason we didn't return was due to distance from where we live and the tuition we were paying was too much for us.

Don't even bother. Education is ok, but not a good environment. Just because its called a christian school doesn't mean its great. I went there for a semester didnt make friends at all, students there were very snobby. Don't recommend it

My children have been at East Hill Christian for 8 years and we LOVE the school. East Hill offers Christ centered education in a loving environment. the small class sizes ensure my children get the attention they need to excel. East Hill has extracurriculars for Elementary students through High school. This is the best private school in town.

awful. will not hesitate to give your child detention. but if a child of a ruling family in the school gets in trouble they will make the punishment about 50% more relaxed

My children are getting ready to enter their second year at East Hill, 11th and 8th grade! We are more than happy with the caring staff, small Christ centered school and opportunities for our children to participate in anything and everything they desire! With a new Headmaster and a growing population this is a must school for any family looking for a nuturing and caring environment! Highly recommended!

I have 2 children attending East Hill Christian School. My oldest is heading into Middle School and my youngest is in Elementary School. Both of my children have attended EHCS from Pre-K. I have been pleased with East Hill from the very beginning. I am very active in the school from attending PTA meetings to class parties to fall festivals. The teachers and administrators have always encouraged the families to be involved as much as possible. The school really does have a welcoming environment. I have been extremely pleased with the academics. The teachers are excellent teachers and extremely nurturing. As with any place there can be issues or concerns, but unique to East Hill Christian is the way in which the teachers and administrators care to work with the family and student to rectify any issues. My children have made some true lifelong friends at East Hill Christian School. My husband and I love the Christian education they are receiving. This is among one of the best decisions we have made for our children. Go Eagles!!!

East Hill Christian School is absolutely the right place for my children! My daughter, a current senior, is graduating with top ACT and SAT scores and has been offered more than $300,000 in scholarships at 5 different universities, from public to private. She was accepted to the University of Florida, which is notoriously hard to get into nowadays, as well as FSU. My other child is a sophomore at the school, where she is participating in all aspects of the school: student government, cheerleading, honor society, student leadership institute, honors program, athletics, Bible study, etc. I fully expect her to graduate at the top of her class as well. The small class size allows individualized attention for all students. Our school encourages parents to get involved. We have a headmaster who is innovative and dedicated! Best of all, my children are in a safe and dynamic learning environment and are training to excel in all areas of their lives. God is truly at work at East Hill Christian School as He has been since 1958. What a blessing!

My son attended EHCS from K-5 through the eighth grade. During that time, the school student population dropped almost 50%. The graduating class is now approximately 20. The school had three campuses and now has been compressed into what was the high school campus. We moved our son to another private school with a school size of 600, three time the size of EHCS. The quality of education at EHCS deteriorated as the school population decreased. Teachers were teaching out of their expertise field. My son has straight A's at East Hill and when he transferred, he was WAY behind the students from other schools. It took a full year from him to catch up with classmates. EHCS campus facilities has deteriorated with no air conditioning in the gymnasium. The new principal is trying very hard to reverse the long term trends and with time may do this. East Hill is one of those small private schools that has a few families trying to run it their way. Recoomend you research this school very closely.

As my son nears high school graduation, I am more convinced than ever that putting him into EHCS years ago was the best choice we could have made for him. He has been prepared academically for college and influenced by many godly teachers and coaches, and relying on God and honoring Him have always remained a strong focus in academics and athletics.

I have 3 children at East Hill Christian School. My oldest is in middle school and the younger two are in elementary. I am convinced that this is the right school for my family. The education provided is exceptional. This is evident from the comparitive testing scores EHCS has received. The average college scholarship received in 2010 was reported to be in excess of tuition for K5 12 combined. In my view, that is a tremendous investment. The environment is protective and caring. Parental involvement is encouraged. We are very satisfied.

We have had children attending East Hill Christian school for 14 years. We have always been pleased with the excellent education, caring teachers and administrators, and pleasant environment. Parents are allowed and encouraged to participate as much as possible with volunteering and visiting the classroom. High morals, Christian principles, as well as strong academics are stressed on a daily basis. Our children have always tested well above their grade levels in all standardized testing. Our son graduated last year and had top ACT and SAT scores and was accepted into every college that he applied with scholarships. We have been very pleased.

Since they added a new online/email system, communication from the school has been fantastic. We order school lunches, check grades and attendance, and search the library online! It's been so great!
