Ive been able to teach at 5 schools before SRCS, and there is no comparison in my opinion. SRCS is a wonderful school with wonderful parents and students. The staff is incredible and the new leadership has listened and really valued feedback. Teachers are supported like Ive never seen in other schools. This is a wonderful place to work, and Im so excited for the future. If you are a Christian educator seeking a solid Christian school to work at, this is definitely a place you should check out!

Ive worked at SRCS for several years!! I absolutely love it! I would absolutely feel comfortable with any of my coworkers teaching my children! It is a great place to work and to learn!

SRCS is one of the best Christian schools we have ever attended. We love the curriculum, the environment, and the education our kids are getting. The Christian wordlview training is the most important thing to us, and we see that day in and day out in the conversations we get to have with our kids a home. The teachers are warm, friendly, and helpful. Our kids have absolutely loved their teachers. The teachers have been professional and highly qualified, very knowledgeable and good with the children. Great Christian role models! I have seen vast improvement in the quality of communication, education, and policies in the last two years, and am very encouraged as our children grow up in this school family. The future seems very bright, and we are excited for our kids to be Eagles!

Im an Amish teen and often attending this school I felt looked down upon and mistreated. Often I would approach the administration and they would say that they would have talks with my fellow students but they often never did. They forced me to shave even though that is against the Amish code. I highly recommend that one would not send there child here

I go to this school and I think that it is good but there are way too many racist people here and no one does anything about bullies just because they're "likeable." After that the school isn't too bad.

My daughter has been there since K4 and is in 7th grade and son since K2 and he is in 2nd grade. They thoroughly enjoy the school and rarely have concerns. When there have been concerns the school has addressed the concerns. I have felt comfortable going to administration to discuss things when they have come up and always felt supported. The school is traditional in beliefs and more strict in some things than we are as a family, but we simply explain the differences to our children and encourage them to follow the school rules at school. I marked special education as mid level only because most private schools do not have the same accommodations for disabilities as public schools so thats just the nature of the situation. My son is ADHD and my daughter has anxiety, and I do let the teachers know each year what the struggles are with that and they have helped and been understanding about those needs even though I dont believe there are special accommodations like in public schools. Overall we have been very appreciative of the school and efforts they make. Things have changed a lot since COVID and the school got unexpectedly busier due to more people wanting to leave the also crowded public schools. The school was extremely organized during COVID and easily switched their curriculum to online, and everything ran very smoothly. Overall we have been very happy with the school. Of course there are minor challenges here and there, but really cant complain. Our kids love the school and look forward to going. The curriculum is excellent. The staff and teachers are generally great. I was surprised that there were such negative reviews.

Over the years you can see with the administration changes the school and students have suffered. I have a child who attends SRCS but we will not be returning for many reasons. It seems like with the administrator this year the only thing that gets acknowledged is the schools new honors society, non of the school events are ever posted anymore, miss getting to see the fun things going on. I would also note the Academy principal never addresses issues or actually takes care of his student body. My child is always coming home after chapel days telling me how scary the sermons were and how they are scared into salvation. Another thing that blew my mind was my child told me one of the preachers came and said it was a sin to hold hands not sure what his source is, I know its not biblical. I dont need my child thinking its a sin to hold someones hand even in a dating relationship. These students shouldnt be yelled and screamed at while being forced into salvation. The last thing that concerned me was my child informed me there was a supposed bomb threat at the school and no parents were called and NO EVACUATIONS took place. What about the safety of our children????? I later learned what actually happened from my student and it was very messed up how things turned out to be. From my understanding the police were called which is ironic to me that the school never called the police when drugs were going around the school
(ON CAMPUS) this time last year. What if a student suffered from an overdose due to inhalation of drugs that another student brought to school. This really just shows where the schools heart is at and that they are not focused on the things of God.

I am currently a student at Santa Rosa Christian school. Throughout the last year we have had many changes to our environment. Teachers have been moved all over the place, but mostly for the good of our school. Student have also been expelled, though they were not Christ like acting students. One amazingly good thing about this school is it is one of the strongest Christ supporters. No one can say this is not correct. New administration has been put in place, which I will say has not been the greatest. It seems to be that some teachers have been trusted more that others which has affected the staff and students. Overall the school is great for elementary and high school, middle school has always just seemed to stand alone. Sports once were good but have went downhill. Being a student is a privilege as Mr.Watt would say.

Principal is fresh out of college with about 3 years teaching experience. There are many teachers who think it is ok to take out their frustrations on the students. Lack of grace all around. The registrar is a child of the founders of the school. At 60 something, she acts like a bratty kid running dad's store while he is out of town... Was told this year that my straight A student is not welcome back but there is not history of attempt to correct any behaviors...seems arbitrary. They do love the state scholarship money.

Teachers fail to input grades and when provided with assignments that should have been entered timely, may or may not accept them but typically with a "late penalty" (not at the fault of the student). There is definitely a core group of staff that decide when to treat students in a way that ushers them out the door.

I would recommend any other private school option before this school

I appreciate the regular progress reports and report cards in addition to being able to log into Headmaster and stay up to date with grades. Teachers can be contacted through an app, by phone or email if you have a question. Communication goes both ways and should not be blamed solely on the teacher. I have always received a prompt reply regarding any issues with my children who range from elementary to high school. My children are receiving a great education. The administration and staff care about each child and want to see them come to know and love the Lord and serve Him.

I have been at this school for three years and I am currently finishing my senior year. The students and the staff have been so welcoming and kind throughout the last couple of years. Mr. Watt has been an amazing principal; he loves each and every one of the students at Santa Rosa Christian and wants all of us to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to do great things with our life. My faith and walk with God has gotten stronger since I have been attending this school. The academics have challenged me to try my best and hardest with everything I do. I would recommend any child come to our school. He will learn about God and get a good education. he will also meet some pretty great kids and could make friends that strengthen your faith and challenge you to have a stronger walk with God. I will be forever grateful for all of the hard work that has been put in to give me a great education.

This schools has the worst diversity probably in the districts and close to racists city Jay, FL. I am surprised administration hasnt addressed this but honestly from what I have witnessed they dont want other races there.

Overall this school needs to take Christian off their name theres no way. Christians are graceful, operate in truth, stand up for whats right, love others no matter their race. The Bible says you are to do everything in decency and in order SRCS has failed in that area with keeping parents informed.

Lack of communication, prejudice and racists behaviors seem like they are not concerned with every child in the school. I would not recommend them as the teachers lack professionalism with addressing issues with parents.

Some staff members hold racists views that they readily express in front of parents and students. These kind of views are the antithesis of Christian conduct. My child attended this school from kindergarten through 9th grade. I removed him when it became clear that these views are tolerated in staff members. How sad that people who profess to be Christians and who have regular contact with students hold these views.

This school used to be a very positive, caring environment, but over the last few years, after a new principal took over, it has become a very negative, toxic environment. They are very judgmental and try to scare the kids into salvation. Unfortunately, this ends up pushing so many kids away from the love of Jesus.

My daughter attended for one year. We were told by our family who also attended it was the best around so we wanted to give it a shot. I thought it was strange the only homework she ever had was spelling and they list their grades online even though hers was rarely updated on the website. The only communication we had from the school was emails for fundraising and eagle days every week. Seems like they were more concerned about fundraisers then teaching. We later learned from another student in the same grade that she had other homework than just spelling but we were reassured my daughter was fine. Towards the end of the year we met with the principle to discuss our daughters progress. She told us that our daughter was far behind in terms of grade level but has a great personality! The principle then went on to say her personality would take her far and she should feel acomplished if she was a good mother and wife someday. We decided at that moment to change schools. After school was out her report card was mostly As, B,s and one D in spelling! Joke of a school, they just want money to pass students through. Ridiculous!

When we enrolled our then 4 year old at this school while I was in active duty, I was very hesitant at first coming from k4 at pensacola christian. Although very different, I learned to love this school and the people in it. We recently left there last week due to moving to California- I not only miss the kids, but the staff and teachers as well. They are always just and fair even if it meant my son was wrong. I would give anything to move back and keep our son at this school through graduation. I enjoy their teachings and the way they teach. Not only do they give our children the fundamentals of life, but they structure around God and stability. My son was here kindergarten, first, and half of second. I built relationships with parents and teachers that can never be replaced, and my son has lifelong friends. I enjoy the fact it is a smaller school as well seeing that I grew up in Cincinnati and had a much different outlook - this school gave my son the structure, one on one attention he needed at times, and the love he needed during the day while I was at work. I am no perfect parent and my son not only grew here, I did as well :)

I currently have two children attending SRCS and have been nothing but thrilled with the education a care they have received. One of my children has been diagnosed with ADHD and sometimes requires a little extra attention and some creative approaches to learning. The teachers and principal have been very flexible and willing to work with us every step of the way. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a good education with a safe and nurturing environment.

Compared with the local alternatives (in Milton, FL), SRCS is definitely the best option for sending an elementary-age child. (That is to say, I am comparing it with other schools, not with homeschooling - which in some ways would probably provide a better education for particular students). This school outpaces the public schools easily in terms of performance and quality of teaching. In some grades, the class sizes are also smaller and more intimate, which we liked. Our children will not be able to attend for middle or high school (we are a military family and are being stationed elsewhere). So, I am not sure about the quality of those grades. But the director of the school is wonderful, communicative, and goes the extra mile to help if you ask for assistance. Mrs. Brainerd, the K-5 teacher, is a gem and my daughter adored her. We have a gifted child, who was reading well before kindergarten and Mrs. Brainerd took the time to challenge her with supplemental books/workbooks. 1st grade was alright....she probably wasn't challenged as much as she would have been at a gifted and talented school, but such an option was unavailable to us. Best choice for our time in Milton.
