I would not recommend the Upper School at all!!! They have the middle schoolers sharing a locker room with the high schoolers annd the high schoolers are very inappropriate to the younger students. Also a big safety concern in the Florida heat- there is no air conditioning in the gym/cafeteria/chapel. Students have passed out from the heat and the school did absolutely nothing to improve the temperature in these main areas that students spend a lot of time in!! Students whose parents work at the school get preferential treatment and can be disrespectful, hit others, etc. and no consequences are given. Students do not like being there and they have very few activities to make learning fun or include the families or community. Students are bullied and not supported at this school.

We could not be more blessed than to have found FCA for our family. We have 4 children in the upper school. We had homeschooled and attended a different Christian school prior to attending. We were looking for a safe, loving, academically strong and Biblically sound Christian education for them. We could not be more blessed. We didnt come to the school for the building but for the heart of the school. (A new building is in the near future however). FCA has helped our kids grow in their walk with Christ. They emphasize missions and living out your Christian walk. The teachers and staff have been incredibly SUPPORTIVE and LOVING and go the extra mile if your child needs extra help. More importantly the staff guides the students through prayer and caring about their learning. The administration shows love and grace to both the students and staff and genuinely care about all people. Our children also enjoy the clubs and sports that FCA provides. There are ample opportunities to be involved in things outside of academics. Its a small Christian school that is growing. I highly recommend Faith Christian Academy!

We absolutely love FCA! We are so impressed by the effort made by the teachers and staff to model and encourage a heart for Jesus and His Word. The way the staff serves their students and families is wonderful and inspiring! Students are encouraged and supported in their daily walk with the Lord and a life of prayer. This place truly strives for the goals of Faith, Character and Academic Excellence. We would highly recommend this school.

FCA is a fabulous school to be able to serve as an educator. The students are respectful and a joy to teach, and the admin/leadership team is super-supportive. JESUS is the center of all we do here at FCA. I believe I may speak on behalf of the great majority of the staff when I say "we" believe this is not just a job, but a calling. Also, it's a blessing that the parents are so supportive; we truly work in partnership with the home and the students' respective churches.

Coming from Public school to a Private Christian school has been one of the best decisions we ever made. The teachers and staff actually care about the students. They don't treat them like just a number. FCA feels so much more personalble and cozy, like a family compared to a huge public school. The students and staff can actually talk about Jesus. And I love that the teachers and staff will pray with a student if they are having a bad day. :)

FCA is a wonderful school! These few negative comments are VERY old - the school has improved A TON!

Our family has been very blessed by FCA! From day one, they made us feel welcome. My daughter was coming from a public school setting where the negative environment had really affected her. She was nervous about starting somewhere new, but the teachers, staff, and other students welcomed her with kindness and encouragement. Since enrolling, I have seen a tremendous change in her attitude, mood, and overall behavior. She's thriving in ways we hadn't seen before - and she loves studying the Bible!

The academics at FCA are excellent, but what makes the biggest difference is their Christ-centered approach to learning. Every subject is taught through the lens of God's truth, and the teachers model genuine care, patience, and faith.

If you're praying and hoping for a positive change in your child, Faith Christian Academy is a wonderful choice! And they're only getting better!

My kids attend the lower campus at Faith Christian Academy. My children feel welcomed, loved, and encouraged to grow. They've learned so much academically, but also spiritually. The teachers truly care about their students. Faith Christian Academy has been such a blessing to our family, and I am so thankful my children get to learn in a Christ-centered environment.

HOS frequently takes expensive vacations. Despite claiming to be a Christian, she treats her staff terribly. She disparages staff members she perceives as inferior, including support staff, the campus pastor and wife, custodians, and board members. The upper school principal is a bully who aggressively chases students down while yelling instead of de-escalating situations. The lower school principal lacks knowledge and expertise but boasts about her business experience. I had children in multiple grades and eventually withdrew them from the school. Avoid this school! The teachers are excellent, but the overall environment is toxic.

Faith Christian has been a wonderful experience for our two children. The teachers encourage each child to succeed and know them individually, from their weaknesses to their strengths. Such a big difference from our experience with the public school system. We cannot thank them enough!

Since the classroom sizes are smaller, I would assume there is more time to cover material in class. My children are able to complete some in class and the amounts they bring home does not require hours of frustration.

Okay...this is what happened to my daughter and I.
My daughter was happy at her new school, but as time went on we found out that it is the most awful "school."
So my daughter, despite the bullying she endured for months, wanted to go back to FCA. I asked Bryan Alvare in early May about my daughter returning to FCA. He kept telling me he was so busy with end of the year stuff and wanted to meet in early June. I did receive a call and an appointment was set. My husband had to go because I had a prior engagement. What he told me blew my mind. He said it was out of his hands and I had to write a letter telling them why I wanted my daughter back at FCA and the board would decide! That is so untrue because Bryan himself has told both my husband and I in the obscene amount of meetings that kids leave and come back all the time. The only way I will write a letter is if I receive a letter of apology for the bullying of my daughter. Because it was not handled by the principal, I had to take my child out and her education was in jeopardy. I feel outraged. I would rather drive 50 miles one way to a school that knows how to handle situations like this when they arise.

My daughter went to Faith and excelled. She is now a senior in High School and has been in AP Classes, Dual Enrollment classes, and the National Honor Society since freshman year. She really blossomed from her experiences there. As a parent I was able to sit in on several of her classes and really hear what she was being taught. She grew spiritual, socially, and academically. My daughter and I felt free to ask questions or speak about concerns to the teachers and principle. I always felt that my concerns were always heard and taken to heart. Going to public school was a change for her and she has held steadfast to her beliefs thanks to the loving guidance of the teachers at Faith.

I am a parent of two children that attended FCA. Both attended the school from Pre-K through 5th grade. My oldest child has been in Gifted and Honor classes in the public school system since he left FCA and is graduating this school year with Honors and in the National Honor Society. He will also be just 3 credits shy of an AA degree. My youngest child has been in the public school system just one year and received straight A's all year. They were both blessed to have a solid foundation of an excellent education that started and FCA and the bonus of having the Bible incorporated in their teaching, not only at home, but at school. The teachers were all amazing and assisted in instilling the morals and values that our children need and deserve. The current principal, Mr. Alvare', is an amazing man of God who puts 110% into making sure that your child not only receives an awesome education, but encourages your child to have a personal relationship with God...and that is something that you cannot put a price tag on. Both of our children are well educated, well behaved, followers of Christ...and it was with the partnership of Faith Christian Academy that this was made possible.

I have a son who currently attends FCA, he has been there since he was 3. He is now in the 3rd grade and flourishing under the guidance of his teachers and the staff there. It is a loving environment that teaches a strong love for God and is teaching our children to be considerate and respectful adults. My daughter went to FCA from Kindergarten to 8th grade and now attends Public High school where she is doing well in Honors classes.

I agree with the parents that say sit in on a class before enrolling your child. The teacher's kids that attend get special treatment. Bullying is a big problem at this school. It's like a revolving door for the teachers...can't seem to keep the same teachers (with the exclusion of a few.) Don't try and get your problems resolved with the principal, as he will back his teachers, even with documentation. Told directly to me by him. Be prepared to spend several extra hundreds of dollars-mandatory fundraisers. This place will nickel and dime you until you go completely broke...it's not worth the money because they are way behind the public school system. Please think twice before enrolling your child, your child deserves so much more than what this school says they have to offer. FYI-some of the teachers do not have agrees in what is being taught. Just beware!

We have had two children in the school now for five years. Overall, I have been very pleased with the quality of the education, the environment, and the teachers. The school was able to set up a computer lab this year to allow the students to begin to learn skills such as typing and online courses. If you're considering a private school, I would highly encourage you to stop by and speak with the principal and the teachers.

I am extremely disappointed with the structure of my daughter's classroom. It is very chaotic. I agree with one of the reviews left by a parent, please before enrolling your child sit in on a class. There are some great teachers, unfortunately my daughter doesn't have one of the great teachers. I am a very involved parent and sadly this year I'm not. I can't handle the rude, uncaring presence of her teacher.

My daughter has attended this school for two years and will be attending again this year. Wonderful atmosphere where teachers and leadership love and care for the students and is very clearly a Christian school. I love that the kids get to play outside and have PE, Music and Art. Children are taught not just academics but how to build their character and treat others.
